    There is not much dust and not much noise. It’s surprising the noise level is so low.

    Is all that road spoil reused, or repurposed?

    What are the boxes on the back for?

    Could use flags on end of conveyor and hand signals to better help truck drivers ..Just a thought ..

    Excellent vid Ben. What are all the things that look like white batteries/weights that are stacked right across the back of the machine, we have exactly the same machines over here but I have never seen one with those on the back before. You must have a lot of connections to get that close on an 'autobahn', they won't even let you stand by the kerb on an ordinary road over here let alone one like that. Are Wirtgen the sole makers of that type of machine - I have never seen any other make.

      +Christopher Lovelock They are neither, they hold the replacement teeth for the cutter drum. When the teeth get worn down they have replacements at the ready.

      Rob Pawlowski Why do some have red paint (or something like it), and others green on them

    • @Knot222
      @Knot222 Před 8 lety

      I'm not sure of the colors, but they are all replacement cutter teeth. Writgen aren't the only manufacturer, there are a few companies that make milling machines. Writgen is a popular choice though.

      +Benjamin Beytekin Wirtgen is the world leading company of cold milling technology. Also there's Bomag. Other? I don't know.

    Why are those dump trailers so damn short? At that point, I figure ya'll be using just dump trucks.

      Most of them are ejector trucks, not dumptrucks, which become more and more popular in road resurfacing jobs

    *The poor truck drivers have a shit job - 15sec wait - honk - 5m drive - honk -15sek wait - 5m drive - honk etc ... etc. ....Would be easier to drive in a walking tempo and the milling machine regulates with the distributing of the load.*
