Thank you for creating this arnis tutorial. I have been wanting to learn arnis for years but my sched prohibits me from doing so.This is in my bucket list at 56YO. Thanks and I hope I can get my husband learn this with me.
Marissa, it's in mine at 66! Now that I've retired, I'm checking out all kinds of things I never had the time for. Good luck!
Thanks for the idea about making it into a coordination and creativity exercise! Having a beginner's mind is indeed useful when learning something, and despite me being already familiar with the movements I actually get to know more of it!😇
Happy to hear you're getting value from my videos! ☺️🙏
Thank you so much for teaching this pattern. I'm I've a newbie in arnis and I've been having a problem with my coordination in training. It takes a long time for me to make sense of the patterns. Having a vid to rewind and slow down helped a whole lot! I'm going to practice this everyday from now on. Thank you so much!
happy to hear this is helpful!

If you are ever in the Manila in the future, let me know and we can train. :)
Thank u sir for your sharing an idea how to make a proper strike...
🙏🙏🙏
Hello thanks for not being madamot with the knowledge. More blessings and more power ❤
On point!
Thank you! Hope you’ll also do versions with your back to the camera haha
Thanks for the suggestion! Haven't actually considered doing that before! ☺️
Thank you for this video which helps to improve our skills ☺️. In a next video could you explain how to build an efficient strike dummy to progress 🙂
Personally, I think the easiest thing you can do is stack a bunch of used car tires. ☺️ Then maybe put a pole in the middle so they don't fall of the stack. 😁
@@daniel_bernas Thank you 🙏
Salamat 🙏
🙏❤🙏Respected sir. very very like your video. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I appreciate you sharing this information with us but what would help is multiple cameras (or cuts) from different angles. Tbh that would complicated as hell (and a pain in the butt to do) but I do appreciate your sharing of knowledge.
Very good kali

I'm not really good at left hand so instead of holding the stick from the bottom I hold the top and use it as Defense
I like your channel and just subscribed it.
I want to introduce my kid to Filipino Martial arts as well. Could you advise the earliest age and the right method to start the learning process as i have no knowledge of martial arts.
Filipino Martial Arts or Arnis is really an umbrella term for so many different systems and styles. So each one will have their own way of starting. On a personal note, just try something and see if he/she likes it or not. :) Pretty sure most clubs would have a program suitable for kids. (And would have their own preferences at what age they can start.)
I think I expanded on that a bit more here: czcams.com/video/BkNnapPuOnk/video.html
Do you have a video on that DIY dummy?
which is beter for beginners shorter sticks or longer, can i practice using pvc pipes,,, THANK U i cant buy arnis sticks
how about backhand downward strike? how to do that po?
Do you have a tutorial of balintawak?
Twirling techniques naman po. 😁
Jason Max Flores I'll work on it! ☺️
😍
would it be possible to use any other short weapon/sticks available, eg. sai and tonfa to perform arnis?
Technically, yes. Movement is movement once you've gotten the principles. Though I'm not sure it would still be called "Arnis". But if it works, it works hahaa
Galing nu po.
salamat! ☺️
New subscriber here...
Roni Happy to have you here! 🙏
Sir " okay lng po na mag paturo kht basic Arnis lng po !!! Madalas kasi aq nagpafractise mag Arnis kaya lng iba pa din ung my nagtuturo slmt
Hello, good day.
I'm your new subscriber.
I watch on yt and I found your video. I thought that you're good enough when it comes to arnis skills, techniques, basic handlings and movements, blocking, and many more. I grab this opportunity to get some help from you. Gusto ko pong matutunan ang Martial arts na ito, at kung may mga soft copies or any illustrations ka po sir ng mga basic to hard techniques, movements etc about po sa arnis ay maaari po ba akong makahingi.
Maraming salamat Po.
If you want comprehensive material, I suggest trying out these sources. Pero hindi sila libre. Limited lang talaga makukuha mo from CZcams.:
decampo123.org
pekiti.university
budobrothers.tv/categories/Pakamut
Or better yet, hanap ka ng guro who will guide you talaga. Maraming styles and systems of Arnis so if you stick with one first, your progress might be smoother.
What are the systems you have been taught?
My foundation is in the KAMAO system. I've been exploring De Campo, Pekiti, and other stuff informally (just picking up a thing or two from videos or friends) since then. ☺️
Show me double sticks disarms, your own version.
Try sparring or fighting without armour. Try street stickfighting in tondo and see if you swing like that in real combat.
Of course it would be different. Application to specific context requires adjustment.
This is how I move for sports anyo tournaments and last I checked, it works in that context.

Show your tournament real fight side. Join the tournamant. You had to win. If not, noone will believe you.
This is utilized for self defense, not as a basis for attacking someone.
Too much show off. Show your actual fighting style.
The heck are you on? 🤣 You don't read my replies to your comments huh? 🤣 If you don't want to talk I guess I'll just ignore you now. 😂 Thanks for the engagement though! It helps the channel a lot! ☺️🙏
