    I’ve been watching a lot of your videos, currently on a DRZ and I want to upgrade to the 500.
    It would be great if we knew what the total cost was of these great builds.
    Another great option would be a package option for those of us that don’t know exactly what we need/want

    For the BDR type riding that they intended, is the 3.1 tank preferable over the 3.9 tank? I would’ve thought the opposite would have been true.

    Great build. I just wanted to note some may remove the t-stat as it is a failure point. If you know bikes under temp is unlikely to be an issue short of winter riding then I use C3 tstat. The stock ones leak in my experience.
    Love the fuel setup I’ve got to do something different had dirt in my jets last year what a pain.

    So this is the 3.1g acerbis tank. I can’t imagine how big the 3.9g would look up there. I would love to see a video of the detailed steps you guys take to organize the mess of wires behind the headlight. I have the dash kit but I couldn’t figure out what to do to clean up all those connectors and avoid wire rub. Thanks for the run down on this build!

      Pretty sure it is the 3.9, I have one on my '23 500 and it looks identical to that.

    Nice bike build. Thinking about this handguard set up, will it work with flex bars? also is the large bolt that threads into the handlebar end the same thread as those threaded bar inserts a lot of the other handguards use these days?

    Hey Mike, I recently picked up a 2023 KTM 500 exc used from a dealership. The previous owner “desmogged” the bike (removed reeds, added an FMF 4.1, and according to the dealer uploaded a tune to the stock ECU. I think this is called flash tuning? I just wanted to know if you think this is ok for the engine’s longevity. I love how the bike performs currently. I need one of those heat shield! Have cooked through two pairs of pants!

    Can the wr450f be built like this and do BDR'S? or is there limitations to that vs the ktm's.

      Those operate very poorly off road , I doubt they will be doing one.

    I have a 23 350 exc-f. I have cycra pro bend wraparounds, and when I drop the bike often times the throttle will get stuck. Can I convert to this setup? Also, I want those mirrors, I ordered a set of powermadd ones and they don't fit well, I didn't see these ones on your webstore, will you be selling them? Also, I want that ignition switch but didn't see it on there either, just the bomber bar switch, which I'm not trusting of. Also, can I just buy the headlight mask kickout by itself? Thanks Mike!

    I have a 2023 fe501s. If i get a get sx1 ecu it asks what exhaust, does it matter if its an fmf q4 vs fmf 4.1? I would like to get the fmf q4 but i'm concerned if it will be a problem. I understand the 4.1 might give more power I just don't want to be running too rich if i use the q4.

      I think we need to do one, and this will will serve as a motivator

      @TACOMOTOCO I'd love to see it. I recently got a 701 (1st bike was a 250l then a dr650) and it's really awakened my mind. I almost feel like I've made more progress as a rider in the 3 months I've had it than any other bike.
      I'm very much a dual sport and adventure rider but I can only have one bike(for now) so the 701 is perfect for me and I don't think there's any other direct competitors on the market right now. My friend recently bought a 500exc and it's been interesting to try too but I still think the 701 is better for me for now.

      Yes I'd like to have your input on my 690 instead of the dog company's. Their fueling dongle keeps throwing an engine light and they can't seem to remedy the situation (3 dongles in). They even told me that my 23 was Euro 4 compliant and I called KTM and they said it was Euro 5 even though it was a US model? Confusing! I want one "go to guy" for my 501, 690, and 890.

      There are many that share in that option. Others will even say the 12-16 are the best gen, specifically the 14-16
      So much better to debate about motorcycles than politics and religion 🤘🏽🤘🏽

      I reckon that would make for a great video... You see that question asked almost weekly online "which year model is the best for adv" with so many varying opinions. The best year model 500/501 is the one between your legs IMO ​@@TACOMOTOCO
