ETS S13 WTAC Prep Part 3, dyno tuning the dry sump ITB SR20DE

- In Part 3 of this series I take the freshly built SR20DE to the dyno to fire it up, test the oiling system and make some power. Unfortunately the top end seems to be restricting the peak power figures but the high compression pistons have improved the mid range so this should make the car faster overall. I will be back to the dyno after the event with larger cams but the full story is on the blog engineeredtoslide.com/2022/04... along with in-car footage on WTAC race day.

Yeah. The craftsmanship is 👌👌 Greetings from the Caribbean.
Well done lad 👏. Great job getting here done in time by yourself 💯👌🤙☘
Thanks mate
Was thrilled to see you were running at WTAC this year!
Thank you I was grateful to make it after all the effort.
@@Engineeredtoslide great run and lots of love from the commentators too!
Brilliant Job Nigel 💯🤙 I know all too well trying to get a rally car finished for a rally the last week is just flat out and very little time to sleep 😴 She looks savage with the wing too 👌💯🤙💙💚💛🧡❤
Thanks mate, so many things to do prior to an event, never a dull moment in Motorsport
very good channel, greetings from Chile
Love the quality of content here
Thanks
Good to see you back. This is as good as the ute build
Thank you, stay tuned for Ute V2 🤙🏻
Beautiful!
Please Can you make a custom “gantry feed fuel system” for this Nigel !!!! Would look/sound unbelievable and get you a little more performance….
You could always throw on a VE head while your at it ;) love this car and all your fab work mate.
Keep it up.
I want to try and keep the S13 head but yes a gantry fuel injection system with a set of awesome fibreglass fuel stained trumpets is on the todo list 💪🏻
@@Engineeredtoslide oh mate, I can’t wait !
Hey man, did you ever get the engine to make more power? I love the idea of a high compression DE with ITB’s for my Club Q’s S13 Silvia. Just curious if you were able to make more power
Power aside, it looks and sounds great!
Nice work man! Have you had any help along the way, or did you have much help??
Love the car Nigel 👌. What would you normally expect out of a high comp DE setup?
I’d probably want at least 130rwkw out of one but I know a few people making 175rwkw with the same bottom end and head as me but I just need the right cams and tune and it’ll be close I think.
@@Engineeredtoslide wow that would be mighty impressive out of an NA DE!
Great build but something is wrong though. On that type of dyno a completely stock SR20DE do those kind of numbers.
Yes I know, but I ran out of time to diagnose it, mid range was really good so it was still fun to drive.
Is this a vvl head??? Farastic build. Looks mint.
some good craft, whats done to the head? what fuel were you using?
Just pump fuel 98 octane. It’s ported and flowed with 1mm oversized valves.
@@Engineeredtoslide nice , send it with some cams and springs lets see it crack 200 @10000🤙 is it vvti? Have you weighed it before?
That's 9hp over stock?
154hp? Isnt that about standard?
What’s going on?
I should have plenty of HP with this engine, I just don’t understand
155hp? bruh a stock Honda would beat the f out of this.
Looks great though! 😁
No doubt about it!
lol not making the power you want? It's a fkn SR20 N.A.. There's your issue! Boost it or swap it!
