    Great help for my 2012 TSX wagon. This trim piece came loose and pulled some of the clips off the frame. I used your guide to get the rest off and reattach. Thanks!

    Bro, I just want to say that you are awesome and thanks for this video! Unfortunately the people working on my 2010 tsx broke the clips and used epoxy. This is now my third time that I have to get it fixed smh.

    Are the metal retaining clips attached to the A pillars with double sided tape? I ask because I bought new clips from Acura, and they come with a light green/yellow tape on them, but I can't peel any film off the tape.

    I'm off to go get some clips at a scrap yard, but, I doubt they'll allow me to remove the windshield

      Not much, I've been driving like that for 3 years after mine blew off, first the right, then the left, both at freeway speeds 😢

    Is there any way to remove the old clips? Mine are too broken to re-use, thanks.

    Only one retainer clip from the trim piece on my Acura came loose. 3 other retainers are tight and I don't want to remove the trim as the loose retainer is at the top and I can just lift that edge. The retainer is attached to the plastic trim. 1) Do you recommend removing the metal retainer from the trim, then attach it to the body of the car? 2) If I won't find a good sticky tape, will the 3M weatherstrip adhesive work for this job?

    Hey is it possible to remove those side trim pieces without taking the windscreen off? The previous person who installed it didn't put the very bottom clip and it's kinda loose on my car

      I just had one of mine stolen, so I suspect it's possible. Looked like a clean removal, and that lower clip gone too.

    Alfredo to put the molding back do I need to put any kind of sealing or glue? I was just wondering bc I bought mine new ones. The driver side was all crusty and broken and I was driving on the highway and off it went. When I saw the clips they had this black sealant and idk if I need to put new sealant ?

    • @AlfredosAutoGlassRepairCorona
      @AlfredosAutoGlassRepairCorona  Před 5 lety +2

      Hecson Sotomayor you could epoxy, urethane, or any other adhesive to glue them back on. As long as you let it dry and make sure it bonds metal to metal, don’t forget to align them perfectly otherwise they won’t grab the molding correctly. Make sure you remove old glue with plastic so that you don’t scratch the paint snd cause rust problems.

    GOD. Gel a molding clip tool save the clips, which is all you need to do. I will say this that Honda only sells the clips only on the molding not as a separate part

      Internet Glass Network/Auto-glass.com please upload a video to see your technique. Make sure it’s the exact same model. I could save the oder models no problem.
