- On 11 25 2009 we were beyond honored to host one of the greatest reggae bands on the face of the earth in our hometown. Midnite came to our thanksgiving celebration thanks to Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad and our brethren Lambzbreath. It is an incredible show captured with a Motu audio recorder. Hard to believe that it's been ten years. We will never forget. Special thanks to Joel Scanlon aka JDubby for recording the show. Rip Vaughn Benjamin. We give thanks. Enjoy. Giant Panda owns no rights or anything to this music. We were grateful to have them and glad we can share this recording with the world. Peace and love.

I used to live in Rochester, NY and this was the very first Midnite show I ever attended! It was fantastic. Midnite didn't start playing until right around 12 a.m. (midnight) and then they played for a couple of hours. I saw them and Akae Beka play about 10 times after that, until Vaughn died.
I was lucky enough to meet Vaughn in Stowe, VT. after a show at The Rusty Nail. I was staying at the same motel and I chatted with him for a while and got an autograph (which he signed "Midnite" because he was a humble man).
I told him that his music was all I listen to and I saw a smile on his face.
That was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me because he was one of my heroes.

Hail up! What a joy to hear this after all these years! Massive thanx. I bredren helped make this show happen and I n I were blessed to be present to hold a reasoning w Vaughn and the band ( minus Ron) that evening. This was the only time I ever had the honor of burnin herb w the Kingman. All were gathered around a diningroom table w each one their own spliff. Just as raw food had been prepared for the occasion along with several jars of holy herbs that were laid out on the table, Vaughn brought the raw reality of truth and wisdom to that same said table and in turn fed I n I that night. So much was said, I could never fit here, he also blessed the place and played the piano before leaving. High places of Anu has always made I think of that evening. Highest Raspect to All.
