I'm not surprised at all to see Black Honey on this list! I've been wearing it for over 25 years now, starting back when I was still young enough to get Seventeen magazine and they had it listed as a "color that looked good on everyone." They were right! It has been a staple in my stocking every Christmas that I've been married.

Matilda the natural look sadly isn’t one favored by the majority of youtube beauty gurus. And don’t get me wrong I love a good cut crease with the rest of them. But I absolutely have a soft spot for minimalist makeup. There’s definitely an art to it. I only wish that we can see how these lovely sheer products look on you one day!
I don’t have any plans to come on camera unfortunately, I prefer to put the focus on the products 👍🏼 but I filmed a video with my friend WhatKateFinds last year! That’s what I always look like haha x

Last summer I was lucky enough to take a trip to Italy with my family. While in Florence we stumbled upon a makeup store. I’d never heard of Kiko Milano but there it was so, we went for it! And my mom and I REALLY went for it. Our favorite buys of all our trip were definitely two sheer balms named Coloured Balms. The first, number 9 Rasberry, is a bright red with a touch of orange, and really livens up the face effortlessly and gives you a very happy and youthful look. Number 6 Blackberry is a moody, cool-toned purple pink. It’s my favorite. It’s very light but somehow a bit deep and it’s complex as well... I‘m a sucker for cool-toned shades that are formulated correctly without being straight up blue so I love Blackberry so much.
I have too large of a lipstick collection and Kiko Milano definitely contributed 😂.

i think you’d like burt’s bees tinted balm in red dahlia- pretty sheer but it’s a nice color, very cheap, and free of any questionable ingredients.

After your constant and glowing reviews, I bought two of the Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Colours. I cannot emphasise how gorgeous these are!! I love vampy dark purples and classic bright reds, so the concept of a sheer lipstick is very new to me. But their shades in Blackberry and Telluride... it was like a match made in heaven. Still the dark matte wash of colour that I like, but with a balmy texture. Thank you so much for opening my eyes to a new type of makeup that I had never even considered until now.

I absolutely love the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick. It's balmy, shiny, and sheer and they have some gorgeous colours. After the shine dies down, you get a beautiful blurry stain that looks amazing.

Congratulations for the Audible sponsorship-I’ve used Audible for two years now and love it (currently listening to Magpie Murders)! For a drugstore recommendation, might I suggest the L’Oréal colour riche shine lipsticks. I wouldn’t really call them a balm since they aren’t nourishing at all but they apply a beautiful sheer wash of color with a high shine finish! My most worn shade is 904 Varnished Rosewood but I also love 928 Gleaming Plum for an evening color.

Sheer lipsticks are now starting to be my favourite lip formula. Just bought the YSL volupte shine lipstick (i got mine in shade 80) and they are AMAZING. Super pretty and it glides so smoothly like butter~

I think you should try some of Ohii’s lip products. I like their lip smudges. They are similar to Glossier’s Generation G lipsticks. They are matte and sheer and feel really creamy and velvety. Their lip glosses are really cool too. They are really glittery and shimmery.

My favourite is the Nivea lip balms - especially Cherry Shine. It's the only lip balm I have consistently panned and have a back up of. I think that colour and formula might be right up your alley!

Sheer lippies are my absolute fave. I have at least 10 of the Chanel Coco shines. The only difference in the new ones, that I can tell is the packaging. I also love Dior glow balms & Fresh sugar tints. Most recently I picked up Charlotte Tilburys shine formula & love it!! I did not realize how many sheer balmy lip tints I had til I started counting them. It makes sense since my lips (and skin) always feel dry!

I have to confess that since I got my Ilia Arabian Nights, the rest of my lipsticks were forgotten. It's so good! The shade Crimson and Clover is also beautiful, a sheer bright red, more summery, but lovely too.

Clinique Chubby Stick in Super Strawberry is my go- to! It's basically a shade or two darker and brighter than my natural lips and it just so comfortable. Also super versatile for more dramatic looks or uber natural ones! highly recommend them! xx

No7 Sheer Temptation is a go to for me. I like the ones with a bit of glitter if I’m not wearing any other make up!
They fade fairly quickly but evenly over time (I don’t like staining) and they’re so balmy I love reapplying them! Great drugstore option.

I had Ilia's Tinted Lip Conditioners with SPF in Bombora and Kokomo for literally years (that's how long they lasted for me without rebuying them!).
After I watched your Kosas video, I bought the color trifecta set by Kosas with Undone, Stardust and Rosewater! Stardust and Rosewater colorwise are perfect substitutes for the Ilia Lipsticks but the formula is ten times better! And they smell heavenly!! I finally tossed out my old Ilia Lipsticks haha

Black honey is a classic. I also like the clinique pop glaze in melon, bobbi brown crushed lip color in angel and the guerlain rouge G I have the shade 2 and 22. I just placed an order from sephora and it will come with a sample of MAC powder kiss in devoted to chili which I'm very excited to try. Sheer lipsticks and tinted balms are amazing, it's hard to go back to a more heavy opaque lipstick after.
