  • This is the most advanced procedure i've ever done on any car, i'm a complete novice going this deep into an engine.
Only Time Will Tell If I'm Successful.
Unfortunately its been very difficult to film everything due to limited time and lighting due to short winter hours.

I’m thinking about buying an E60 525d and rebuilding the engine as clean as possible to really revive it into the best daily driver possible, this series will be extremely useful I feel

Hi. I'm about to do this job myself, just curious, why did you removed the fuel pump ? Doesn't seem to be in the way. I've watched all the videos, and do you have any other tips that you haven't mentioned ? Thank you, good job!

Decided to strip it totally and give everything a clean at one stage it was just the bare block, degunked every oil and water way, got rid of any gunky oil, a fresh clean base, runs sweet.

How often do you change the oil on this engine?

i do it every 2 to 3000 miles, but these are neglected cars now and thrashed so my one the oil was sludgy hence why i decided to take the whole thing apart and put it all back together after its thoroughly clean and spotless.

      Wow that's really often
I change mine every 10k miles
I really need to send a sample for testing to make sure the oil is still fine at that mileage.
My engine is still really clean inside
(I use engine flush every oil change)
