    The sound of the engine sounds way different than a 212 engine.It runs great and it’s fast.

  • @brandonmarcinkowski5216

    Dam that sucks! I always put jb weld on the thin part of the rod to keep it from snapping on them old briggs.

      Hmmm sounds like you may have more trade secrets, i have an industrial grade 5hp, what can i do to it?

    • @brandonmarcinkowski5216
      @brandonmarcinkowski5216 Před 4 lety +1

      sideways4days tunewerksinc Shave the head, port the intake , remove the governor, straight pipe, same old stuff. I just put jb weld on the rod to keep it from breaking you will lose some power over a billet rod but it won’t snap. well for the most part. I did it to a old 3hp lasted a couple months when it did finally brake it broke the piston rod camshaft and a hole in the block. We was trying to blow it up doing 20 some down a hill maybe turning 9,000rpm. It out a ran my friends stock Predator 6.5 mini bike on long straight aways it just had no Torque slow take off.

      @brandonmarcinkowski5216 Před 4 lety +2

      If you do that to a 5hp it would be a beast. The 3hp was for my brother. I was running a 8hp b&s with the same set up top out at 38mph but it was for off roading

  • @1manshop335
    @1manshop335 Před 4 lety +2

    Buy a billet rod for the new 5hp briggs

      @@GoKartsorGoneFishin So about 1:6 or 1:5? sounds about right, doing a similar project at the moment, same engine. Did you test it at inclination by any chance? Want it to climb some hills but not fan of unexpected wheelies either

      @@beiragusa this is a small bike so I had to lean forward when accelerating..so ya she might pick up the front wheel..

    Don't think it was the carb nate. It was the RPM gremlin. Go billet brother. Holler if ya need a billet rod I might have one left in my junk. 👍
