I am new to Bass Coast, and have never consider fishing like this considering at high tide must only be 1 or 1.5m as it's visible rocks at low tide. Will now try the many other spots, similar to this one around the bay and island.
Any reason for fishing so far away from the edge of the water? Best way to combat wind, and not let a fish chaff you on the shoreline, is to be close to the water!
@@seb9564 At this spot its better for high tide but some spots in westernport you need the low tide to walk out. Just depends if it is too muddy to walk out into or not
@@ChasingFish I appreciate the cool response. Some people take advice badly. I always use a tiny piece of salted squid pinned once on the bottom of my bait, and wrap the main bait with bait elastic. The squid is something for when your main bait has been stolen. I make the salted squid and chuck it in the freezer.
@@redtobertshateshandles advice is always good, who wouldn't want to get better plus fishing there is so many different ways to do things. Sweet I'll have to try out salting the squid haven't done it before
One that I caught stuff one was a daiwa saltist comp x 14foot they are custom made by get wet outdoors in Traralgon designed for 90 mile and bait fishing around Vic. I had a certate reel on it but don't need something that expensive at all.

It's an old Shimano one but there are a lot better ones and newer versions out there now
Hi love the videos keep up the great work. Just wondering were you are at Western Port.
Yeah this was westernport
First love your vids
G'day Ben I have a question, what size sinker are you using in this video! Would be helpful and re assuring thanks mate.
I think usually a 4 ounce on average but could be more on less depending on the tide strength

About 2 or 3 hours before high tide
@@ChasingFish Do you have to wait until low tide comes to get out right?

I know where is this but got problems with how to park there and if we can camp there
Don't think you can camp there unfortunately
Do you park at the residential are and just walk to the spot? Are there quicksands there to be watch out from and do you catch snapper there?
you cant camp there and just dont park on the green houses land strip he might get mad and there is plenty of parking unless busy
Hey mate,
Can you tell me the location? Or thereabouts? Thanks
Corinella 🤙

@@EastEndAquariums yes it is 😁
Great spot but the Toadies love to steal your bait haha.
Dude, one day your rod will go in. A mammoth red will take it.
Haha yes new rod holders are definitely required 😅
