  • Join Dustin as he and Aria test out the new Sheeran Looper X from Headrush and Ed Sheeran. This is the most expensive looper I've ever seen so lets see how it sounds with a little Bass, Vocals and the trusty Seuf OH-10.
    Welcome to this week's episode of What's This Button Do hosted by Dustin Babitzke! This week Dustin skips the manual and tries to record a quick loop on the new Sheeran Looper X.
    Is this easy to use? Who would pay $1100 for a looper? Can Dustin Beat Box?

    It sounds amazing! So nice and LOVE the pedals, they feel so good on the feet! 🎉

      That’s exactly how it felt to me. I can even loop barefoot and it feels comfy.

    Great video, Dustin! You did a fantastic job explaining this pedal. 💪🏆

    Good review. It may be easier to just use your guitar for electric guitar and bass. Just change the bass tracks effect to the bass preset.

    Great job, sir! I have a question, and I'm hoping you can help. I have this pedal, and I can't figure out how to change the tempo of the drum tracks once they're loaded in and playing.
    Thanks in advance. I hope your family is okay!

      Hi my friend. I’ve experimented with that as well. Since the drum loops are prerecorded when you load them in you aren’t able to adjust the speed. I did find a trick using superior drummer or a beat buddy. You can load those into one of the 4 loops and then change the tempo on the devices and reloop It. But it’s essentially making a new drum track. That’s the one thing I wish it could do that the old EHX could do.

      @@whatsthisbuttondo2885 @whatsthisbuttondo2885 Thank you for getting back to me. It makes me feel better to know it wasn't me just missing something. Although I'd rather have missed something and be able to change it. Hahaha! All the same, thanks for the reply! ✌️

    I am retired and have written several songs. I bought the Looper X to serve as a recording studio. I want to make tracks of complete songs and then save them. Was this a good choice in lew of a DAW? Will it let me bounce (aka combine) tracks. Thanks! Shalom/gw PS Prayers going up.

      This is going to be fun for you. I still like using my DAW for most mixing but It does have a bounce function like a 4 track. You can copy 1-4 tracks to one track so you can use the other tracks with them. The touchscreen interface is pretty easy to use once you play with it a bit. I’m still discovering things each day as I use it more.

      @whatsthisbuttondo2885 Thanks for responding. I'll send feedback after I use it for a while. It occurrs to me that modern DAWs and other technologies make sound studios of just a short time ago, like Apple, Sound City and Hitsville, with their Neve recording consoules, look like Model Ts, by comparison. For me big issue with it is weight. I cany carry it around. Its not portable at all. I dont even carry my 17inch laptop around because it is so heavy. Should i go with boss 600?

    • @whatsthisbuttondo2885
      @whatsthisbuttondo2885 Před 2 měsíci

      Weight is definitely the main drawback. The 600 is great but the new small Sheeran looper is pretty dang versatile and not too heavy so would be worth looking at. I also love the ehx 95000 but it’s a big one.

    It’s built bomber… why would anyone complain about the weight???? If it was all plastics you’d complain about that. In this day and age give me over built all day long.

    • @whatsthisbuttondo2885
      @whatsthisbuttondo2885 Před měsícem

      Same here. I love that it is heavy duty. But I could see if being a pain for people lugging around a ton of gear. But I am in the same boat I’d rather have something that lasts and can take a beating.

    Seems cheap to me… for what it does.

      It really is. Just a big investment but when you compare to a laptop with software and editing for live performances this is a steal.
