I admire the artistic talent it takes to relic / age a guitar right... and if I'm Kirk Hemmet and I want to play my 2M '59 Les Paul, sure I want one made just like it so I can tour with it... but when I spend $10K on a guitar (And I've done that several times)... I want my Gibson Les Paul to be cherry... with a 5A 1 piece top (maybe 2 piece if it's a '59).. and so on.. I want to age it myself over the decades. Most recently I got a '59 Reissue with a 2 pc 5A top, and the '59 Series I Alnico 4 pickups installed in it, total price $9999 ... for me, a better "investment"

I bought one in excellent condition for a great price on Reverb a few years ago. I don’t deserve RK own a guitar this cool and nice. You can’t get the tele “in between” sound. But it’s got a ton of its own unique vibe. The bridge pickup is like all of rock and roll got distilled into metal and magnets.

This is like my favorite thing to practice - the only difference is I think "C Maj" pentatonic instead of the relative A minor.

Biggest take away from my clinic with Mark Tremonti he said you gotta learn those pentatonic scale shapes. Nate and Mark have a lot in common. Both great players and teachers
