    Nice bit of kit. I have a 250 reefer and love it. Thinking of the new small one for a pair of sea ponies. And a gorgs. Also these are perfect for triton users as can have own configured sumps.

    Hi Neil, great presentation!Could Red Sea please look at bringing out a shallow reef version? You could even use all of the existing parts of say the Reefer 350 and 450 but offer a 16 to 18" height aquarium.That would allow all of us not living on a ground floor to have a lwider aquarium and the shallow reef look is very cool!Surely the development would be quick? And you would have a USP as the only other shallow reef option is the Innovative marine, but that has a back sump not an under tank sump...

    I like the idea of a rear sump & everything about this aquarium, except for the rimless open top & seeing the lighting. If it had a top (& no, a screen won't do) like the C-250 did, I would place an order right this second. Either for an E-260 w/top OR if a new & improved C-250 LED comes out. If there is a C-250 with Red Sea T5 lamps & in black, forgotten & dust-covered in the back far reaches of the warehouse, I would also take it.

    I can't decide between the E-170 or the new max nano xl. I would keep the E-170 as an AIO without the sump upgrade. But I like the nano xl because it's new on the market. But other than the size difference between both. Would you say the sump configuration built in the back of both tanks is similar to each other? Would it be fair to say the E-170 is just another bigger version of ths nano xl? Does the E-170 have the exrta silicone on the seams?

    • @Redseafish
      @Redseafish  Před 3 měsíci

      The MAX NANO XL is smaller in volume and has the RL50 while the E170 has a larger volume, RL90 sump options etc. If you consider a sump, go with the REEFER MAX 170/200. Budget wise the NANO XL has great value for money and is a great starter tank. The issue, and a good one, would be that you will grow out of it quickly and want to upgrade. So we would recommend if the budget and space allows, to get the REEFER MAX option instead.

    • @reeferexplained8846

      Red sea stock skimmer noisy and pointless, try the Tunze Dc 9004 has magnets 🧲can fit sides ways to surface skims and magnets to glass baffles. Also super quite and skimmer really well The only issue is collection cup is small so can you a tunze holiday cup with tube to drain into container, and if worried to over fill could add a skimmer guardian from D-D.

    To Red Sea, why no video showing how to dial flow in on gate valve with the sump upgrade.
    He is my issue when the main drain near full siphon you have to make sure it flows a little into emergency drain other wise the sump level isn't stable and the Ato goes mental.
    I don't want to use the emergency drain as time goes on more flow increases and makes a noise. All these videos and nothing about the red sea e260 sump upgrade and how to dial in.

      No this is for the reefer not the e-260, do a video showing a return pump the size how to dial in with wheel and where should water level be. The only way for ato and steady water level and weir is for a trickle into emergency drain.
