- Hey CZcams,
I thought i would get all my tanks together for a little comparison video.
In my opinion the Benedini TBS Mini sounds the best, followed closely by Tamiya's latest 1/16 JS-2
Any questions please leave them in the comments and I will do my best to answer them.

Freut mich 👍
Love.the T34 tank and would love one but its so much dearer than other tanks
did you evenutally get one?
Which version of the tanks have the recoiling barrel? The BB versions or the Infrared versions?
Generally the IR versions but recently some BB firing tanks from Taigen can do it as well
I'm in love with that KT
Thanks mate, unfortunately I have sold it
oh man :( my HL remote died for my TIger. :( whats a good aftermarket one that will LAST?
Vincent Sluga HL remotes are the cheapest of the cheap. There's a million other remotes out there, just check out your local hobby store.
I dont have a local Hobby Shop. Its really dumb...
Vincent Sluga lame. K well a replacement heng long would be pretty cheap..but they do break. Or you could just shop around online for 2.4 ghz 4 channel + transmitters with receivers. It's pretty easy to open the tank up and replace the receiver. In fact you can change out anything inside quite easily. A lot of people gradually fully upgrade everything in their tank so there's barely anything but the original chassis left.
Love the sound and movement of the Tiger II the best....the Benedini is a very close second...might even have the best engine sound...but not best gun firing sound or recoil movement.
Benedini is my favourite, sounds awesome plus is very customisable
Tiger II sounds like a tug boat
How are these compared to the Taigen tanks which are already built? Thanks, great video.
Taigen have pretty good tanks. I own two, a Jagdtiger and a T-34. Both are all metal with proper suspension. You would have to upgrade them to the Tamiya battle system if you intend to go to events since that is the general standard.
Right now there's a push to advance designs though, Taigen has good tanks, but the electronics are like slightly upgraded Heng Longs. But they're working on a new setup now that will use sound cards so you can use the same board for every tank but have proper sounds for each one. They also have proportional controls. Meanwhile Heng Long has released their latest 2.4 systems that have newer better sounds and controls, plus they're selling metal tracks/gearbox models to keep up with the general trends.
At the moment Heng Long and Taigen are more what you want to spend in that they're both upgrading their stuff and are closing the gap with Tamiya. Tamiya will be the gold standard for a long time, but anyone with crafting skills can make either of the lower brands a match to Tamiya, even surpass them in some ways, especially with the absolute mountain of aftermarket stuff.
I've also got the latest 2.4 Tiger I and M26 Pershing. I had these models way back when they first came out in the early 2000's (back when the pantiger was first released) and the changes since then are amazing. Also just finished converting a Heng Long KV-1 into a recaptured KV-2.
WOW, you sir are a wealth of knowledge, i just purchased the TAIGEN Sherman tank model TAG13040 all METAL edition and just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT. Super happy with it, cant wait to get another tank, i spoke to Eric down at TAIGEN, i am up in NY and i wanted to find out about the HENGLONG LEOPARD 2A6 all METAL edition which are SOLD OUT, turns out TAIGEN has developed the MOLD for these and will be coming out with their own LEOPARD 2A6 all METAL edition in 3-6 months. I will def be getting one of those when they become available. Thanks for the info you have provided here, i have subbed and look forward to more of your tank videos.
@@panzerwolf494 thanks for you information..
Good vid.
I just got a Heng Long Tiger 1, 2.4gig metal version.
Shoots BB's but no barrel recoil, I think the sound is better.
At the same time I got the Leng Long Sherman, metal version, nice.
In the 1/16 scale who makes the best tanks. Heng long. Tamika. Hobby engine. Waltersons. They all look good but wondering about the reliability of them.
Tamiya hands down but heng long have come along way too. Great value for money.
TAMIYA nails the engine sounds better than others. Check out the Engine sound on the TAMIYA ABRAMS..no mistaking The TURBINE..!
How hard was it to change the sound cards. I have 4 Tamiya's and want to change to the Benedini's
+Gerard Mccluskey it's hard with Tamiya or heng long tanks. Easiest way is to replace the control board to a Clark one.
Hoping you can offer some advice. I am looking for a 1/16 RC tank that I can more or less take the top off and mount a carbon fiber tube (ie 4') to the top of the tank and then mount a Ricoh Theta S camera on top of the CF rod. I would mount a cam on the front of the tank for FPV driving in a house to film virtual tours. This tank would only be used for this purpose. Can you make any suggestions on what I should get? I want rubber tracks as it will be driven on nice floors in a house. I found this one on Amazon amzn.com/B00KIECYD4 for $119. I would have to believe I can get the shroud off and make a custom top platform to mount my monopod rod and FPV camera to. Thanks!!
+timmyd hello and thanks for watching. If you would like rubber tracks the the Leopard tank would be great. Plus it is one off the longest too so it would be beneficial for room in the lower hull.
Thanks!! Do u have a link for that?
where did you get the Is 2?
Tamiya website
thanks man
there's no HL original shit sound unless you comparing the latest 5.3v , but even that they still lacking behind
your cats like ..............? the germans are coming!
Haha true.
Ze Kat is our ally ❤️
how does that tiger sound so good my hl tiger sounds horrible
It is hooked up with the Benedini TBS Mini
Hello sir, I was looking to buy an RC tank just to drive it, I want a tank with proportional controls and good engine sound effects/revving. I saw the smaller tamiya 1:35 T-35. Will the smaller size be a plus for the portability? I think that the price will have an edge on that... I don't care if it's a kit that requires coloring and I will not use any airsoft or Ir things. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks, Giulio
+dallatorretdu hello, yeah the smaller 1;35 kits are great for portability but are kind of fragile as well plus there is no suspension and no real options to upgrade either. They do have excellent proportional control. The engine sounds are ok but their is no rev function. The 1;16 JS2 has that feature as standard.
I think the scales of these tanks are a little off. The IS-2 was a large tank. Longer than a Tiger I. It looks too small.
+whodey59 tamiya tanks are pretty well designed
the is 2 was under 50 tons so in this company it will look small
Is2
Es mejor el tiger 1
