  • US President Joe Biden's special envoy says they are working to avoid an all-out war between Hezbollah and Israel.
Amos Hochstein is meeting Lebanese leaders after talks in Israel on Monday.
Hezbollah has increased cross-border attacks in the past week after Israel killed one of its top commanders.
Hochstein addressed the media in Beirut, aiming to ease Israel-Hezbollah tensions. He emphasized that the ongoing conflict along the Blue Line has caused needless suffering, including loss of innocent lives, property damage, and economic decline in Lebanon. Hochstein stressed the importance of a swift and diplomatic resolution.

He only mentioned Lebanon's economy declining and not Israel's. Basically trying to imply that Lebanon is and will be the loser if the war continues.
Meanwhile, Israelis with dual citizenship are leaving in large numbers having an impact on businesses and service. Tourism to Israel has decreased significantly to which Israel is financially dependent. Goods are being impeded due to the Houthis activity targeting ships associated with or on route to Israel. The Israeli government is in a fragile position and the Israeli people are taking to the streets in violent protest. Between 65000 - 85000 Israelis have vacated their homes due to Hezbollah's strikes in the North. Israel's reputation on the global stage is in tatters. Their "iron Dome" and world class military surveillance equipment has been shown to be a hoax. Israel is used to being prosperous while Lebanon is used to struggling. Trust me.... It hurts Israel and its people a lot more.
