- Heartland Season 18 will return to the screens in September. When a show lasts for about two decades, it's inevitable to encounter some fun facts, scandals, behind-the-scenes news, and drama. How can you have a show with more or less the same cast for almost twenty years and have no secrets hidden from the public? It's basically impossible. First and foremost, we need to talk about the film location of the show. At this point, the Heartland scenery has reached iconic status. Fans, including me, are dying to visit this dreamy location, if not outright move there. The more we know about the Heartland filming locations, the better. The iconic barn and ranch house are part of a working cattle ranch in Millarville, Alberta. Yes, you heard it right, the Heartland Ranch is a real-life active ranch. Apparently, Roy Foster's parents started raising white-faced Hereford cattle there in 1928, so the ranch has a history of almost 100 years. Today, the ranch is privately owned, and only the Heartland cast and crew have access, so unfortunately, you can't visit the Heartland Ranch even if you want to.

The real success of Heartland was and still is the Amy and Ty love story. The dating in season 17 especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons.
