GEAR USED:
- 2-6# 8' Fishing Syndicate Trout Series
- 1000 Shimano Stradic CI4
- 6# Phenix Braid
- 4# topshot, 1-2' leader (I bounce from 4-6# alot)
- 3/8oz Top Notch Surf Head (sandcrab color)
- Zman
(you can also use your standard grubs, minnows, mini swims, or stuff from bass pro with equal amount of success.)

What a life time catch/experience for any surf perch fisher. You should describe your gear and bait in detail, more slowly, or post it. I can't/can imagine how excited you were after catching a "super" slab of all surf perch.

How big was it
Huge!!! 17" maybe 18". Not sure but it was a true OC Trophy and still is. A PB I'll never forget.
