    I was so inspired by this tutorial that I made 40 post it note holders for my upcoming craft fair in December! I have to tell you that the little wooden cube is such a great tip! It really made cutting the tape so easy, accurate and frugal! Thank you for that. I now have the daunting task of adding the magnetic closures which I have never done before! But I did buy glue dots so I will give it a go. Thank you for sharing your lovely craft work!

    I’ve made 3 of these now and I love them! My first 2 attempts failed because I used card stock that was too thick the first time, then too thin the 2nd time. But, as they say, 3rd time lucky! I also decided to put a trim on the fold up part to finish it off better when you open it, so you don’t see the rough edge. Instead of buttons, I used stained glass beads in matching colours. Thanks for your post! 😁

    This is really great. I love it. So nice for gift giving. I tried doing it, but I have a question though. The magnets and the metal beads. Are they just regular small magnets or they have to be Neodymium for stronger hold? And the metal beads? I need to know for better closure. I use magnetic strips and they are bulky. Appreciate a response. Thank you so much for this tutorial. Looking fwd to your reply.

      It depends on the craft show. Sometimes you will find that people will only be willing to pay 2 to 3 dollars for small items. I had a $3.50 price tag on them at my last craft fair. They were not moving as fast as I would have liked. So maybe lowering the price to $3.00 may be what customers will be willing to pay for them at my next craft fair. We'll see. :-)

    • @jeanettecobbgeomazingpaper4650
      @jeanettecobbgeomazingpaper4650  Před 4 lety

      I couldn't tell you for sure. There are a few variables to consider. How often the note holder is opened and closed is one of the main variables. I've never tested it. The note holders I have made for myself personally are holding up just fine after a year. I do notice that glue dots don't hold up as well on the ones that I have double magnets. I would guess it's because of the strength of 2 magnets being force apart so frequently as opposed to just the one magnet and the piece of metal.

      Thank you Linda! I use a padding compound . The brand I use is called HAR. Just a thin layer on the top edge. It dries pretty quickly.

    Where would I find the little magnets?

      I purchase my magnets from a seller on Etsy several years ago. Many sellers on Etsy and Amazon will sell the small magnets. These measure 1/4 inch round by 1/16 inch thick.

      I'm pretty certain that I purchased them from a seller on Etsy. It was years ago. They measure 1/4" round X 1/16" thick.
