Sooo eloquent , elegant and Endearingly Charming. I friggen Adore Joanna Lumley. Her travel series documentaries are great. She is so iconic as Patsy, the best.
Met Joanne when she used to come to the home of a fellow actor where I worked as a nanny. She was just so delightful, always came into my sitting room and said hello before heading into the the other room to enjoy her evening.
You made me laugh out loud. Brilliant! It must've taken our Pats forever to pick up that BBC English; what with all the vodka, and pills, and cocaine and all. Still--she's a hard worker.
My daughter and myself went to see her in a play at the Haymarket with Robert Lindsay we waited at stage door and she was sooooo lovely to us we had a loveky chat and a pic. Lovely lady. XXXXXXX
She's a lovely lady.I saw her in a West End play with Mark Rylance about 11 years ago and a group of us waited by the stage door to see who would emerge. It was pouring with rain and suddenly, out came Joanna in a very smart grey trouser suit. She stood and talked to us,signed autographs and posed for pictures for about 15 minutes after which she was soaked to the skin. She was absolutely charming and really appreciates her fans.
It is interesting that she never quite made it on the same list with Maggie Smith, Judy Dench, Eileen Atkins, Joan Plowright and Hellen Mirren, although she is a great actress. I see here more suitable for the British local audience.
@@valeria-militiamessalina5672: The others you list were all serious Old Vic, RSC players whereas JL resorted to the live stage in between TV and film gigs.
Talking about being recognized in public and interacting naturally. This conforms to my experience in a pub where two colleagues and I stopped for a post dinner drink. We noticed her next to us enjoying a drink with a companion. She noticed that we noticed but we said nothing and she said nothing until she left and graciously acknowledged us as she passed us on her way out. Classy lady!
Joanna represents the UK very well. She was on the Are You Being Served series when the show was in black and white. She looks great and is very worldly.
He may be talented, but he is still a lucky man a very lucky man.Such a classy lady, and so sweet, been a fan for years and years. A BIG FAN FROM AUSTRALIA.
She was good as Dolly Bantry, Colonel Arthur Bantry’s wife in Christie’s “The Body in the Library” too, she made the character way more gregarious than she actually was depicted in the novel; although Gwen Watford’s portrayal of the same character remains unsurpassed it is nice to see alternative interpretations of the same character .
God! Has it's been that long 1992 that was like in the Stone Age. What a fantastic ride it's been. We love you Pasty and your travel show. What a brilliant woman. Hugs from Montreal Be safe wear the mask. 🇨🇦
I love Joanna Lumley. Everything l see her in is funny. Opera is never what l expected Mrs. Lumley to be interested in. The problem of the part taking over the actresses life. I really like her portraital of Patsy. Ab Fab is one of my favorite TV shows. But l am the Edena charter. Thank you for the video.🌺💚🌹💝💜🍀🌺💚🌹💝💜🍀🌺💚🌹💝💜🍀🌺💚🌹💝💜🌺💚🌹💝💜🌺💚🌹💝💜🌺💚🌹💝💜🌺💚🌹💝💜🌺💚🌹💝💜🌺💚🌹💝💝💜💜💚🌺💚🌹🌹🌹💝💝💜💜🍀🌺💚💚🌹💝💝💜💜💜🍀🍀🌺💚💚
I wonder if Joanna is ever competitive with Patsy the character she helped to create is SOOOOOOO BIG , it might be like the Norma Desmond , or Gilda problem ?!
Obviously I've never met her, but I'd love to. I might be a bit intimidated. It would be like being in the presence of the Archangel Gabriel (apart from him being a bloke) with a bit of the Virgin Mary thrown in!
Thatx funny, she asks when you're a broad do u find yourself taking on a more subservient role. The times have definitely changes. And yes I'm aware of the angle of my interpretation.
Such a delightful woman! If only more actors and actresses were like her (humble, clever, beautiful, kind); a true class act.
And funny

Joanna has to be one of the most beautiful women on the planet, inside and out. I love her. X
Me too,me too!"old stick" never,my dear,never!
Now there is an actress. Someone who can portray someone so completely opposite from who she really is, and doing it so well.
Met Joanne when she used to come to the home of a fellow actor where I worked as a nanny. She was just so delightful, always came into my sitting room and said hello before heading into the the other room to enjoy her evening.
Patsy is acting brilliantly here, her portrayal of an upper class, well-mannered lady is spot on!
😂😂
She has a great PR agent, they put some effort.
She has always spoken like that as far as I recall😁
You made me laugh out loud. Brilliant!

What a strange remark. She is a well-mannered, upper class lady ... not acting .... she is being interviewed ....... not playing a part.
Joanna is so lovely she says good things about everyone. x

I never heard anyone say a bad word about Joanna I bet she be a great dinner party guest.

this should be used as a tool for television students to watch a perfect interview
Joanna represents the UK very well. She was on the Are You Being Served series when the show was in black and white. She looks great and is very worldly.
and of course she was on Coronation Street as Ken Barlows love interest...lucky blighter.
Anthony C Brown I believe that was Wendy Richard.
Rodney Alston No, Joanna played a salesperson in one episode.
I think she was his first love interest in the show when it started many moons ago
She played a perfume lady excellent episode!
Nothing like a good British accent and education to get you through life. Joanna Lumley is a prime example of this.
She's so darling! Wish there were more people as positive and thoughtful as she.
She has become a nation treasure ❤️
Where ever Joanna is interviewed she holds the interview and makes it worthwhile.
My respect to this lady,a woman that stands behind causes that should be important to all.
He may be talented, but he is still a lucky man a very lucky man.Such a classy lady, and so sweet, been a fan for years and years. A BIG FAN FROM AUSTRALIA.

How does she avoid aging????? I remember her looking actually older in the '90's?????? Joanna, you look FABULOUS!!!!!!
Heh, well, I suspect this was filmed in the 90s... early 2000s at the latest.

Jennifer Wood From talking to her in real life, a can confirm she is fabulous
🗿 A charming, funny, quick-witted British Lady. O.K. I like her❗😗
I've seen interviews Prince Philip did where he is not polite or charming. I'm sure he's very charming to beautiful women like Joanna Lumley.

She must be an interviewers dream. When she starts talking, she never stops!

I do! The intro scared me as a child.
Who the hell wrote the subtitles? Boeings (bowings) , Darbo (down bow) Iraq road (back road) etc. Were they written by Patsy stoned? 😂
What year was this?
I read in the comments here that it was from 2000.
