In today's video, I am in the grain bin using the grain vac that augers the grain into the black semi-truck I'm going to drive. I am hauling our wheat to the commercial elevator to sell it. Dad explains things as usual Darcy is here too!!

My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am a 17-year-old 4th generation Montana farmer. My family has been farming wheat in north-central Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate's Ag - Farm to Fashion became a reality. I hope you love my products as much as I do because this is an extension of our farm and the grains we have been growing to feed other families for over one hundred years.

Great Job Kate... I love it when you have to step on the clutch, because you literally stand up in the seat of the truck. Yes, the blower fan is in the middle of the dome other wise mold will creep in the product. Poor Darcy only had a brush with fame on this episode. Keep up the Great Work Kate and be safe farming.

Sorry if I’m speaking out of turn, but I put myself through college as an enlisted Marine Reservist, with a little detour through Desert Shield /Storm. It was a heroes welcome home until I went back to Campus. Students threw garbage at me. Thankfully, I didn’t actually go to many classes, but that’s a whole different story. Don’t do that either. In my defense, I was flight instructing.

you can see it! You're getting better and better with the truck. A tractor-trailer has its difficulties when driving, but it is easier to maneuver backwards. An articulated train is harder to drive backwards, but it also has advantages when driving. In any case, you're going to teach the world of men that women are good drivers, too. I once had a young woman with me as an apprentice, who certainly didn't shy away from difficult driving manoeuvres. She tried and never gave up! Today she drives better than me! With her I even sleep while driving! I think your father will soon be able to do that too.

Hello Kate from a chilly county of Kent in the UK. We had one of those grain vacuums on an AEC lorry which we used to suck up the wheat off the floor in our grain shed. I am surprised that you don't have augers in your silos to empty them as we did. We also moved the grain around the building with a chain and flight elevator system. Keep up the good work...👍

Dad wants you to do it all perfect before he turns you loose! I farm and know what he is going through teaching you! My advice to him is- make sure you are covered by the insurance and turn you loose! You are about ready! Then after you get some experience all the neighbors will try to hire you away. That’s what always happened with my kids!

I realize your bin is almost empty. But i always worry when entering a confined space that there is oxygen in there and not the presents of other gases. There are meters you can buy that test for oxygen and other gases .Stay safe and keep on trucking.

Yeah we farm about 4.000 Acres. In southern California. And we have around 300 acres of alfalfa we green chop for dairy cows half the year then bail half the year we also do oat hay three way hay ( oat wheat and barley ) and Sudan .. We also run beef farming never stops as you know.... Have a good night we'll talk again I'm sure..
