It would have been nice to mention that Maury Muehleisen was also killed in the plane crash
Way too much to ask of a channel with the word “fact” in the name, sad
Make your own video then
Maury was excellent, actually had his own music album at one time.
@@seanpatrick5157 for real?
@@crackernegro2791your a real dandy.
The reason Jim Croce music lived on after his death was because it brought so much life to so many people
Beautiful words, thank you for your message for Jim. Made us miss him more 😭
Time in a Bottle STILL brings tears to my eyes. RIP Jim 😢
One of our favorites too, you've got fine taste! Which song comes in at second place?
Ya don’t mess around with Jim!! Great song
I was a teen when he died, and my dad also loved his music often singing to it in the car. We both mourned when we learned of his death. His songs were so relatable. Such a tragic loss, such a beautiful legacy.
Thank you so much for sharing your life story. We miss Jim 😢😢
We lost him way too young....
Sad but true. May Jim find peace. What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?

James Joseph Croce (January 10, 1943 - September 20, 1973)--dyhig at age 30. Moving songs. RIP!
He died on my 14th birthday.. 😢😔
HE WAS THE SAME AGE AS ANDY GIBB HE DIED AT 30 IN 1988 HE WAS TOO YOUNG 🙁☹😢
So sad😢
To still be talked about and relevant 50 years later says so much about his talent. Saw Croce sings Croce and it was amazing. I still remember hearing about his passing and how hard it hit me. Gone WAY too soon.
Croce was very talented. His music was enjoyed by many. God bless him.
I still remember the words to every one of his songs. ❤ 🙏 ❤
You're a true fan. May Jim find peace 🙏🙏
I was just beginning college when he was hitting his peak. I cried and cried when he was killed. Time In A Bottle
Thank you Jim for sharing your talent. 😭😍
Thank you too for your beautiful mesasge for Jim. We miss him 😥😥
Operator ...
Strange how many celebrity lives have been taken by airplane crashes!!! Too many, if you think about it. RIP Jim.
Ironically, I was watching a film about Paul Simon. He and his band were driving to a gig, and playing a trivia game called "Plane crash or overdose" where they would take turns naming a musician and their cause of death.
Sad but true. May Jim find peace 😢😢
Thanks for sharing. I was a huge fan of Jim Croce and was crushed by his abrupt passing.
Our pleasure! We're glad to know that you love our video. If we may ask, what is your favorite song of Jim?

Good video! It hard to believe that it has been 50years since Jim has passed! I always enjoyed his music! I remember writing an High School English paper on Jim's passing! I got a 100 from my English teacher on that paper!
I was 10 y.o. when Jim died in the 6th grade on a field trip I started singing Bad Bad Leroy Brown on bus when everyone including teacher , chaperone and Bus driver joined in , I'll never forget that and will never forget Jim Croce ! R.I.P. Jim ! 🥀🌺🌷🌹💐🌷🪷🌸💮🏵️🪻🌻🌼
Childhood memory, on that 1 1/2 hr ride home from grandma`s house, my dad would play the Croce 8 track while I sat way in the far back seat riding in that station wagon. You know that seat facing out the back so I can see where we used to be. My sisters never bothered me back there so it was heaven for awhile. lol I like his music and he left us too soon.
Thank you so much for sharing your life story and your beautiful message for Jim. We miss him. What other types of video would you like to see?
I remember as a kid hearing "Time In A Bottle" and how simple and beautiful it was. When my mother told me that he died, It hurt me. At the time, I guess I didn't understand the finality of death. I still listen to Jim's music often. My favorite song by him is "Salon And Saloon". It parallels my life. RIP Jim. Your music will always have a special place in my heart.
I remember hearing about his death when I was a teenager while watching the Midnight Special. My late father used to love his song Bad, Bad Leroy Brown. I enjoyed all of his music but my two favorite songs are I Got A Name and I’ll Have To Say I Love You In A Song. Jim Croce’s music took you on a beautiful journey.
Thank you so much for sharing your favorite song of Jim. We're moved. What other types of video would you like to see?
Operator is my favorite . It contains just about everything that made up his artistic genius and originality. one of my favorite all time songs by anyone. losing him is hard even with the legacy he leaves. when artists die young, i can't help feeling the loss of all the songs that died with them. i'm grateful that he left his unique mark.
I have tickets to Crose's SON's concert in FEBRUARY! I saw his son last year, also ..
Thank you so much for sharing your life story. What is your favorite song of Jim?
@@FactsVerseBad Bad Leroy Brown😂
I'm old enough to remember that about a year or so before he died, he was fast becoming one of the biggest stars in music. And after he died, he did become the biggest star in music.
Jim Croce was part of a golden age of music, the spirit of the 70's. Mr. X
I just came from a show down town Kansas City - CROCE plays Croce - Jim’s son AJ . Played a couple hours and told stories and I have to say Jim , you have to be proud watching from heaven . Your son is amazing
Every time I thought i had mastered the acoustic guitar, I would put a Croce album on the turntable. Jim showed me, I still had a lot of learning to do!
Interesting, thanks for sharing your life story! What is your most memorable song of Jim?
Operator❤Very vulnerable song, beautiful. 😢
One of our favorites too, you've got fine taste! What other types of video would you like to see?
Our son lost his life at 31 from high blood pressure. I loved Jim' s music.
I just heard AJ perform both his songs and his Father's. It was very touching to see and hear the son follow in his Father's footsteps. AJ is soft spoken and a tremendous musical talent. He, like his Father, is also a storyteller remembering many stories from the past. I would highly recommend seeing him should he come to your town. It will be a night to remember.❤
My sister and I watched a documentary about Jim after he passed...cried pretty much all the way through it.. loved his music then and now.
In a Song. He missed😢. He a icon, legend gone too soon. We have lost a lot of great musicians throughout our lives. A lot of what ifs has pop up to me and the shape of music would become more present if they were still around. RIH to Jim Croce and other greats who left us too soon and their legacies for us to remember. Sad video to watch😢.
Beautiful words, thank you for your message for Jim. What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?

I can't imagine how many songs and how much music we lost when these two artists died. Remember that Maury Muehleisen was also on the aircraft. Couple of others too.
Always one of my favorites ❤
Glad to know that you're a fan of Jim. In your opinion, what is his finest song?

He was killed on my 8th birthday in Natchitoches (Nak-a-tish), LA. He had just finished a show at Northwestern St. University and was looking forward to going home. When taking off from the small airport the place clipped a pecan tree at the end of the runway killing all on board. An older friend of mine was a student and escorted him to his car to go to the airport, so he was one of the last people to see him alive.
He was killed on my 18th birthday in Natchitoches, Louisiana. As told to me, the Natchitoches Police was after him for marijuana and that caused a hasty rush to escape Natchitoches. The same year I saw ZZ Top at Northwestern.
That was my 14th birthday.. 😢
Wow i was 3 months old when Jim Croce died...😢
Truely a very talented artist.l

The question really should be.......
Which Jim Croce song do you dislike! But even with that question it would be hard to figure out which one if any!🎙️
🥀the music world is less without him🎉
What a singer and GREAT PERSON!
jim Croce is one in a million ! He’s amzingly great.
He, like many others were killed in a plane crash. Some even predicted that they or their relatives would become the next victim of a plane crash. It’s so sad especially when he, like many others were already at the peak of their careers. I never really liked flying in a plane.
Time in a Bottle - hands down.

I was working as a bus boy the evening they announced over the radio the dish washer had in the kitchen, that Jim was killed in a plane crash.
Unbeknown to me at the time, was that sitting in the restaurant that fateful night was Sam Walton and his wife Helen.
The restaurant, Fred's Hickory Inn, Bentonville, Arkansas, is still in operation.
