- YAK Ranching at 10,000 feet in Colorado!
Jessica and her father Bob manage a ranch at the extreme altitude of 10,000 feet in Colorado. The ranch began as a Lettuce growing operation and now is a working cattle ranch and yak ranch.
One thing is for sure. The cattle that they raise at pbjcattle.com are the tamest cows I have ever been around!
The country needs more people like this.
Amen
Trinity, you somehow find the most amazing people to interview. Kudos.
I ate Yak burgers when I was in Alaska last year. They were absolutely delicious. I knew very little about Yaks and even less about Yak ranching. Your video was extremely interesting and informative. I wish Jessica and Bob only the best with their ranching endeavors.
Lord that girl can talk. Very interesting really enjoyed this video. Keep up the great work
Great job again Trinity, what an interesting story!!
The Young Lady has lotsa Cow Sense and
a good Herds-Woman.
Cattle living their best lives here !
Trinity we appreciate what you do for the beef industry and ranching lifstyle. Love for animals, family and community. The passion and entrepreneurial spirit you showcase is educational and inspiring. An international ambassador for the ranching lifestyle. We enjoy your channel around the world. Well done and thank you
THATS MY BEST FRIEND!! I love you so much Jessy!! Look at how far you’ve come! You deserve the world
She is Amazing, so articulate, passionate, love listening to her passion about farming!
She is hot to!!
16:52 Wow 🤩 She knows what she’s talking about very smart girl 😊
Great show, was extremely interesting to see how they have incorporated yaks into the ranch.
Like father like daughter! Great people, and both of them talk a blue streak and are GREAT to listen to ☺️
After sporting her 'Rodeo Time' shirt maybe Dale Brisby will feature her next!
Wow! She could talk the horns off a billy goat!
I think she was truly awesome…., She has so much information!!
This was sooo intersting . You realy show ranching in its goodness . Thankyou for anothere great history ranch report .

What a great video .. And an awesome family .. Love the Yak idea ..
I’d love to hear more about there business with Yaks and what it takes to do it and where they can be done ..
I love seeing the yak there. I live 8 miles from this place. PBJ Ranch a great blessing to our area. First time I saw a yak standing by the fence I had to take a double look. Thanks Trinity for showing this and coming to our area. Love your videos
You were literally just down the road from us. We drive past there several times a week. They've got a great operation. Now I want to go buy meat from them more than ever.
Same here
I took a trip to Mongolia and did a two week horse trek across the country. We used Yaks as our pack animals. Some of the families we stayed with also milked yaks and used it for milk and yogurt.
This is such a wonderful story that you've shared.
Would love to visit this ranch, in the warmer months.
Thanks so much.
Watched my first video earlier today, and thoroughly enjoyed it. So much so that I kept going and loved the information, the wonderful people who are working the land so responsibly, and the making a difference to communities.
Great series, so keep on going!
7:05 Hola señor Trinity!!!👋😊👋that’s amazing how you even say that cow is so tamed…makes me think that cow is the girl’s pet I guess I’m not a farmer but I know that some cows get very accustomed with humans specially if you feed them and give them treats…11:50 that girl can talk 👀😜but she is very knowledgeable about the subject and she is right about the LDL Cholesterol stuff I’m glad she brought it up so everyone hears about it 😊
18:05 she’s like “that’s rude “ the cow was like “ I don’t like influencers “ 😝 😂 lol
I hate to say it, but I'm in love with Jesy! Too bad I'm old.
Not even that steel shot in the middle of her tongue slows her down. LOL
Oooo ..
Nasty.😳
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
👍👍👏👏🇺🇲
Love your style , Trinity! Great video and wonderful people! God bless
What a great show Trinity the world would be a better place with more people like that they were awesome you are awesome and keep up the good work young man
This is so so awesome Trinity !!! Thank you for putting out wonderful educational and thoughtful content that showcases remarkable people and families!!
the burgers!! 😂 are to die for....fresh
Very interesting video. Great folks in Divide, CO working the PBj. Thanks for posting.
This young Lady knows her Stuff 👍👍👌
Thank you for making yet another fantastic piece of content. I learned something about another aspect of ranching! You find the greatest people to showcase! Great stories and loved the history of this ranch told by your subjects! Nice to see how interested and invested she was in this business as well....woohoo!
Absolutely Awesome video. Thanks T
Another GREAT VIDEO!!!!
Lots of good information. Yaks make great predator control. That’s why during the summer I run yaks with my cattle. I also have a couple of donkeys and a few llamas. For some reason you don’t see coyotes in the pasture. Can see them on the neighbors though.
14:23 Wow 🤩 it’s so beautiful out there I love to see the snow but I don’t like the cold 🥶 You guys live in a different paradise 😊
As always great interviews and interesting 👌
Amanda Pete Doppelganger 😎
Great Interviews!..... Will definitely try Yak
I live here in Florissant not too far from this ranch, and I really enjoyed this
presentation, it's such a beautiful ranch, and it's fun to see the herd on our way back and forth to town. Appreciate the history information as well. Well done!!
As we would say here in EIRE [ireland] That woman would talk the cross off a donkeys back 🤣🤣😂😂
Another great ranch story, love thes type’s of stories and the land history.
My cousin that lives in Woodland Park CO just sent me this about PBJ. (He donates beef and yak up here at the food bank. Nice Family farm)
I love this type of video. And great length.
Thanks Trinity, great video
Wonderful video and awesome people. God Bless
Another great video and story from N awesome family❤
Another interesting video, thanks
Great video! Very educational! Thanks for sharing!
She's always yakin. 😂
I think Yaks are so interesting….There used to be a Yak ranch in Cody Wyoming….Thanks for such a great informative video!!!
I raised yak had 30 head in leadville co few years back sold them to a guy in moffet. Wow quite a gal.
Amazing family . I want to try some Yak now.😊❤
Trinity, you never fail to make me wish I lived closer.. Probably good thing I don't, I'd make a pest of myself.. I'm going to be in Alberton this summer and fall, will probably try to look you up and have a cup of "Bean Juice" (Coffee) with you..
She's awesome! Thanks for all the info.
Super great video ❤❤🙏🙏🙏
you're my boy blue 😂😂😂
That is really awesome, gotta get some Yak meat. Looks tasty. 😊
My wife & I back in 2019 or close we were in Ouray CO at the KOA and we came back from driving around and saw a sheriff and EMT on the Bridge over the river thought there was a drowning or someone fell in. But not the case they were Following a Moose up the valley from Ridgeway CO trying to keep it off of HWY 550 but it ended up in a field with Yaks and they were not happy. But he Moose didn't care at all. Fun time the moose wandered across the hwy and up to an old mine and safe
Great video, enjoyed watching!
That was fantastic as all of your videos are Trinity
Awesome!
This is where we have gotten a half cow for the last 3 or 4 years!!!!
Do they ship to Pa? And how are the prices?
The Salers cattle in my limited experience were all nuts!! Jump fences and try to kill you if you turned your back. There was a Yak rancher in Pincher Creek as well. He said you had to be extra careful at calving time.
You folks should contact Cowboy Kent Rollins for you chuck wagon meals (maybe you already do). He has a CZcams channel where you can get contact info.
Kent is one of my favorites!!
Love your videos. They’re well done in all aspects but the Colorado history especially appeals to this San Luis Valley girl. Speaking of lettuce and potatoes, have you considered featuring the SLV. It’s very rich in Native American and Spanish history, boasts the largest inland dunes in the world and the oldest ( I think) town in Colorado and the farming & ranching scene is fascinating.
Thank you. I will take a look.
Thank you, something refreshing about that video
Yakiti Yak.... don't talk back!!
Really interesting as well as informative.
I drive by there all the time, but didn't know all the details of running the ranch! Thanks for sharing! Wasn't it called the Clark Ranch at one time?
Looks like a great place to be.
Very interesting!!
Great video as always Trinity.
Come to the UK you can go up to most our cattle. Its rare they are so wild.
The angus would add some beef to the scrawny yaks. Interesting info, thank you…
22:50 How’s it going with the Chinese weather balloons????👀😳😜
Yak meat? How does it taste?
Thanks for sharing. This is so fascinating.
I have to agree with her that some angus not all but some can be very docile I have one that when she was 400 pounds she would lay her head in my sons lap if he would sit down in the field she’s over 1000 now and she’s still the most gentle cow I have ever seen
Just wondering if there's anything that they do with the yak fur.
Years ago I had a pair of what they used to call "Moon boots." The inner boot structure was made of foam & the outer part was made out of yak fur. People always noticed them and commented on them, because the boots were such a novelty.
The long shaggy fur kind of resisted the ice balls that ordinarily form in longer hair like that.
I would think that those artisan spinners who make yarn out of dog fur and fancy sheep fur and Angora goat fur and all that stuff could probably find something unique to do with that yak fur.
Really really enjoyed your video. These people are the "salt of the earth. "
Maybe there's hope for America yet!
If we could relocate some of those New York "ghetto gang bangerz" they'd see what life is really about!
That Zebu must be cold. I have one in E. Texas , they like the heat.
our Bison never let you get that friendly, EVER. Yak is good meat Bison and Yak are the best livestock meat for you.......... they released Wolves in our area, our program includes 35 Whelen preventative measures
Great story!
Very informative
This was an awesome learning experience about yaks. I loved it why would you not put donkeys or mules around your cattle? They're supposed to protect against wolves I thought or am I wrong?
She's a talker!
awesum video thanks 4 that
Another great video! I need to be able to listen faster though. Trinity, where do you find these interesting ranchers?
❤❤❤😊
Straw hat in March? Yikes! 😃
I've always heard you can tell the real cowboys ether drive or set in the middle
Tibetan or Himalayan Mastiff would be good wolf protection.
A Yak is a Scotch Highlander on steroids.
25:15 Can you ask him what is his opinion on ufos over the area 😮
A much better way of investing in our own and get the food that we need healthier grass fed. From the farm to the table.!
The Yak (Poephagus grunniens) is a large cattle native to Central Asia, it is the second largest living cattle species, the second largest living bovine, and the second largest living bovid in the world, it is the only extant species of the genus Poephagus and the closest living relative of both the European Bison (Bison bonasus) and the American Bison (Bison bison), the scientific name of the yak means "grunting grass-eater" in latin, there are two recognized subspecies of yak: the Himalayan Yak (Poephagus grunniens grunniens) and the Kunlun Shan Yak (Poephagus grunniens kunlunshanensis).
I miss spoke on yak wool. It is muskox that is 7 xs warmer.
have they started tokens for cattle ?
Maybe it wouldn't hurt to have a bulletproof vest to keep from getting hooked
FYI: Aussies use donkeys to protect against coyotes.
HAVE YOU FOUND ANY DIFFERENCE IN RANCHING BUSINESS MODELS/COMMON RANCH PRATICES BETWEEN CORPORATE OWNED AND PRIVATELY OWNED RANCHES?
Interesting question. I need to do more with corporate ranches to know that.
I read somewhere that yak wool is 7xs warmer than sheep wool. Way to expensive for me.
This young woman, although a scientist, doesn't deserve our modern definition of 'scientist'. People like her should be defined as #Truthists. Her knowledge obviously comes from experience, rather than education, AKA indoctrination.
