- What would YOU do if you caught a $2 million baseball? That's the estimated value of Aaron Judge's 62nd home run, and yes, I was there in Texas when he hit it!
This was the 2nd game of a day/night doubleheader at Globe Life Field on October 4, 2022, and the New York Yankees superstar wasted no time, blasting the milestone home run in the 1st inning to set a new American League record. Quick history lesson: way back in 1927, Babe Ruth hit 60 home runs, and in 1961 Roger Maris connected for 61, so this homer by Judge was truly special.

So cool you got to be at a moment of baseball history- one of the reasons why I made sure I got a Judge rookie card in 2017- I had a gut feeling about him as a player that he could be special. I sometimes have a sense of it with players and all in my lifetime as a baseball fan! Glad you got to have fun in Texas!

Awesome you were there to see it. When you get down about something like not catching a ball, just remember there are tons of people (kids especially) who would die to go to a baseball game, let alone witness baseball history. Perspective my man. 👍
The guy who jumped into the bullpen, it had to be the most missed judge play on a baseball I’ve ever seen. 😆
I think he did it on the chance the ball was dropped. If it wasn't coming right at him, it was the next best gamble. If the ball had dropped, people would say he was a genius for thinking ahead.

Stripped of no baseball ball though, kicked out the game, and possibly got arrested. Genius alright!

When I watched the record-setting game on TV and saw Judge's homerun, I looked to see if it was you who had caught it. You seem to be a magnet for home run balls, and I figured it was even money that you had snagged it. Too bad it wasn't - we could've had a great up-close look at the ball. Congrats on being there to see history.

Was at Yankee Stadium for the last home game. Cold and rainy and Judge didn't hit one but it was a good atmosphere.
