#lesbian #lesbiancouple #gaycouple - Zábava
Well that was heart breaking - the excitement they felt at meeting a legally married gay couple but then the realisation that that's not an option for them 😭 One day hopefully it will happen for Korea too ! Love to you all from Australia
Awww thank you♡ Maybe someday.
We fought hard for it but we are lucky in Australia now. Here’s hoping in Korea you will get to be equal one day soon xx ❤
@@monicaking2140 yes it was mental - Australia also really far behind the rest of the world on that issue even though anti discrimination laws etc were good didn't make sense did it ??
@@stellp2956 Exactly. Then people had to vote on wether we could have equal rights, hurtful. I guess at least they cannot change it cause the people had their say.
@@monicaking2140 one would hope that would never happen ! I’m 60, I’m not gay and neither are my children BUT other people are and they should be respected and accepted for what they are - heartbreaking to see my gay friends want to marry and not be able to, heartbreaking to see kids struggle to come out because of what people think and the whole scenario in Korea 🤦🏻♀️as much as I love the place I struggle with this😢
i want someone to look at me the way Carissa looks at her wife 😭❤
I will look at you
i thought i was the only one who noticed tht
Same😭
Awwwww ❤️
I know the look in her eyes just speaks "love, adoration" just like wow
When she said "Florida", I just burst out a: *"WHAT!?"* like that meme. Instant reaction lol
i really thought they were going to say new york or california
I wonder if they reconsidered 😭
@@ohsnapitzjazzy1 They did comment that Florida has regions that are accepting and ones that are not. Realistically, Florida is a much cheaper state to reside in than NY and CA. Also, I grew up in a liberal state but in a conservative area; the same applies to conservative states with liberal areas. (No hate with this just another perspective
@@notflooftassticyes but education is state mandated so why would they want your kids being educated in a way that preaches homophobia and racism when they’re gay and colored? it just creates a lot of hurdles. i totally get your perspective because area matters a lot, but floridas new laws override any sort of local policy
@@neverlandpabo1752are you from florida?? cause I live there, in one of the conservative areas unfortunately, and I have a sister who teaches state-funded elementary. While they’re not the best considering who our governor (trash) is, they don’t “preach” homophobia and racism, they’re ignoring the topics completely. Which can be seen from the whole “can’t say Gay” bill and all the books that have been banned dealing with race, LGBTQ+, or have authors that are in those groups. It’s an authoritative censorship, still trash but yeah no preaching of hate yet. (no hate, just frustration living in florida)
Omg The way Carissa looks at her wife shows how deep their love is.
Ik 😍
Awe🫠
the korean lesbian couple are so attractive😫😭
Ikrrr T-T
Frfrfr
I wish I had Ji-won’s confidence! I could never just see someone on the street and ask for their number lololol
That is what is called " love at first sight " 😂
she knew what she wanted and she went for it! lol
You guys, should consider Scandinavian countries, we are generally very accepting, I’m from Denmark, we have the longest history of legal commitments/marriage in the lgbtq+ community.
And most of us speak English as a second or third language. Of course you’d still have to learn the local language 😂 but children seems to pick it up really quick, and adults are fine with speaking English.
That part might actually be a bigger challenge compared to being accepted as a gay couple here.
In my experience if someone says something bad about lgbtq+ or is rude about it everyone in the room will give them a mean stare, at the very least, if not directly scold them. Of course we still have old people who say whatever they feel like, and religious groups who have their own opinions but if they know what’s good for them they’ll only share those opinions behind closed doors.
When I was a kid, being lgbtq+ was something people whispered about but I never knew anyone who was lgbtq+ (at least not openly), nowadays practically 1 in 3 kids will say they are lgbtq+ and nobody dares to tell them otherwise. After all they wouldn’t want to be labeled as ‘problematic’ or ‘homophobic’ so even if not all of those kids are actually queer they’ll let them figure that out for themselves😂
Yeahhh, but due to immigrants (not all of them), homophobia and discrimination against lgbtq+ people is normal...
Hey I’m from Denmark too! I kind of agree! Most people don’t really care and won’t say anything, but I have also met a lot of homophobic people ! Both young and old
You are so wonderful! And I love Denmark. Can't wait to visit again. From the United States.
Instead of calling them off, let them make a change!
but then again...the racism......
I truelly wish for every couple that their dreams come true. Its so sad to hear that people are forced to live in another country just to get officially married
I agree that marriage is not something that you absolutely need to do as a couple (my parents have been together forever 30+ years and never married) but as a Lesbian living in Canada, a place where I can freely do that with basically the same rights as a straight couple, I really wanna have that ceremony one day. To me (of course personally) it’s like paying tribute to all the ones before me who wished they could have done that but where never able and I should consider myself lucky that I’m able to marry who I want :)
Me too... It just feels like a win that someone fought for. And I'd love to actually kinda "prove" that, even tho I'll marry a woman someday, we CAN be a family. Something a lot of people told me I couldn't have.
I see what you are saying. I also think that all you need to rep for is the CHOICE. You personally can decide to not marry without disrespecting those who fought for your right to marry. Similar to the women who choose not to work, choose to be a homemaker, etc. They are not spitting in the face of the suffragettes.
Yeah, it's like it's one thing for you to be able to *choose* not to get married and a very different thing for you to not *be allowed* to do so.
something people forget is the legality of marriage. when you are married to someone, if something happens to you in the hospital, your spouse is the one in charge of your medical decisions.
gays during the aids crisis did not have that. their parents were the ones who had full control, people who were often kicking out and disowning their children for having aids. their partners could do nothing as their parents signed away on anything to kill their gay kids and bury them with their birth names for those who went by others. it also meant that every possession that was theirs became their parents.
marriage is also impacts your taxes in the us, with married people paying less taxes in the hopes that it helps the economy/pays for their children/etc. that means any single/gay person who cannot marry is losing more money than straight married people.
although this is no longer the reality for gays in the usa, remember that disabled people still cannot marry without losing all their benefits and are basically subject to everything i mentioned above.
@@hutao4671 i’m glad you brought this up bcs it’s very important to remember this. i’ve seen many lgbt people ask why we even fought for marriage when it was an institution made for straight religious people but if anything gay people need the support from marriage more than anybody. the ability to have a legally recognized family member outside of your birth family is so so valuable.
as a bisexual teenage girl living in a country of homophobic people, breaks my heart, but things avout this video
the way Carissa looks at her wife makes me melt
the way Hee-hoo rememberd the exact days
the way Do-ha and Dan met
makes me feel proud of who am i even tho im crushing for a guy that i met once in my lifetime and that im crushing to a girl thats sraight, god i wanna cry

The option for us LGBTQ+ people to get married in the first place is SO important, regardless of if a couple wants to be married or not. It should be our right, just like it is for straight couples.
The way Carrisa eyes follow Eugene is just so cute. It’s really beautiful to see people in love and just having that emotion all over their face and the way she watches her talk to the other couples in Korean and Eugene telling Carrisa what they’re talking about in English. I love them and I wish them a happy future together and hopefully a baby soon❤🎉
Wait, you mean to say a lesbian actually did that in public to get the girl she thought was her type ... God Tier.
When u look gay as a lesbian it sometimes makes you known to other gay people that may look Straight and will never be approached because they look stright
This is so eyeopening and i got so emotional
Fr. I teared up .
I hope all of us LGBTQ+ people who want to do these things can get legally married and have kids like everyone else one day without being an issue. I believe in a better future.
This video is very much appreciated, thank you for the amazing work.
I don't think the answer is always just to move out of SK. In order for things to change there has to be brave people (like the first people in america for example) to expand what society's perception of "family" is, people staying is the best way for it to finally start getting normalized... however if health, safety, and happiness is really being jeopardized then it would unfortunately be better to move out
this is true but also these things take time.
the legislation for a same sex couple to be able to marry each other and hv kids could take years.
and if the couple want kids not everyone can fight for it in time for it to still be possible for them.
i live in korea, and even just officially changing the aging system from Korean (birth = 1yo) to the international aging system, they are having a hard time rolling this out. a lot of older koreans are hard to convince and getting them onboard is very difficult.
the reality is the fight will be long, if same sex couples want to achieve where they can be seen and function properly as a family in society within the next 10 years, they won't be able to do that except outside of korea
Exactly what I was thinking. People are still fighting to keep those rights in place. Also the fact that not everyone is able to just leave their whole life behind whether it is for financial reasons or family and emotional attachment.
THE WAY CARRISA WAS LOOKING AT HER WIFE IS SO CUTE AHH
sending them all so much love and happiness I hope both lovely couples stay together forever
I am from the Philippines and tell you what this warms my heart, the fact that they were able to hold that big a ceremony here in my home country makes me see hope in LGBTQ marriage cause I know what happens behind the impression "It's more fun in the Philippines" yes that is true but as like all countries out there we also have these types of problems
yesss
I think South Korea will take a very long time to change their stance on same sex marriage, particularly because Koreans don't seem to be very vocal about social issues and rallying for change. I could be wrong, but a lot of the gay Koreans I've watched online just seem to accept that they can't be married and that society treats them badly, rather than fighting against it and building a community together and rallying for change. Also it seems most straight people in Korea have very little or no opinion on LGBT issues so they don't really consider themselves "allies" like the majority of left leaning people in the US. As much as it sucks to say, without allies fighting alongside us it's very difficult for minorities to make change happen on our own.
Hopefully with Taiwan, Thailand, and eventually maybe India working towards changes to marriage it will start a wave of other Asian countries following.
Taiwan legalized same-sex marriage back in 2019. That does make me wonder why so many Korean couples featured here think of moving to the US, rather than Taiwan where the language is significantly more similar (easier to learn) and there's stronger anti-discrimination laws
You can't be married in Taiwan you need to have citizenship to get married
Society wise, Thailand is definitely more accepting. But their government is just ugh 😑 they also have to deal with the king as well.
Feel extremely sorry for them as they have to change their country for legally getting married...I wish it becomes legal in Korea...
But yeass I got a second hand embarrassment and could fully relate as I am in the same situation being a lesbian....🥺🥺🙃🙃🙃🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Thank you for bringing up not ALL Americans are accepting, but they will mostly just let it go for the most part, unless it directly affects htat person life. I really do hope that more Korean people will push back against what is considered norm and just step and be the 2nd or 3rd and not leave the pioneers out there fighting alone.
As a lesbian i love hearing and seeing this i think it is amazing how they all learned about eachothers standing points and everything i just love it a lot.

The Korean lesbian couple is so pretty ahh
I’m from the Philippines and I’m interested to know where did they got married here because Philippines is really strict when it comes to marriage.
Even the law for equality (SOGIE BILL) has been trashed by law makers here. Maybe it’s not a religion wedding but either way, congratulations to them!
@4:54. Sounds like they had a ceremony/celebration in the Philippines and got legally married in the US
I believe they had a wedding in the Philippines, they said they did their legal documents in the US and are legally married in the US. Some people have destination weddings.
SAME!!! iyaq pa ako non nung nanalo si he who must not be named kase alam kong di uusad ang talks of SOGIE and Queer Marriages sometime soon tapos gulat ako mamshii nung sinabi nilang PH pero reading the replies, it made sense naman. Sana all nalang pu
because God created man as a pair of male and female. some countries have laws without being based on religious principles, that's why many countries legalize same-sex marriage and and countries that make regulations on the basis of religion will not legalize…
You can get married in Argentina too!
I thought people need to move fast to win love, so I just followed her and asked her number.” She is literally my spirit animal
The love in Carissa's eyes💕💕💕💕💕💕
3:35 Their reaction was so precious and cute when they heard that the other two were married 🥰🥰
What a precious video!! ❤I know the conditions are difficult for LGBTQIA+ couples in most part of the world, but the ones in the video give me hope for a better future. Greeting from Brazil 🏳🌈
She is amazing the girl who asked for her number ❤
Canada is also very accepting and allows gay marriage.🇨🇦
i just want to add that social change is really hard to predict - change can sometomes happen really fast - and it is hard to know why or how - just keep being yourself & keep trying and plan as though the change you want will soon come! I am 68 yrs old & have seen social acceptance take forever for one thing & happen in a snap for something else - right now the broad acceptance of gay & lesbian couples among young people is still very surprising to me - & so wonderful! I was with my girlfriend for 28 years but she died before marriage was declared legal in the US, but we were lucky to be able to be very open about our relationship
My congratulations to all couples! I love all of you and wish you the best for a lifetime of happiness.
Me being a lesbian and seeing this as a indian really breaks my heart 🙂
This was a really good conversation, thanks for sharing this! I wish and hope all the couples in the video gets to see their dreams come true! We'll keep breaking down the barriers, one by one!
I’m living for this area of acceptance, freedom and love. Even if the road is still very long, at least we’re walking on the right one.Let people be happy and marry the person they choose . We only live this life once. FFS
I really hope that one day every country can have families that just depend on love to be recognised. A society is stronger if people can be happy and supported. Love and respect is the most important.
For some reason i want the Korean gay couple to be my parents they have this warm feeling they are giving life is cruel i wish to be their kid so bad now
omg this warms and breaks my heart at the same time .- but either way, im soooo happy with this kind of content!💜💜
AWWW this is so neat! Happy Pride
you guys should come to New Zealand :) lgbtq+ couples can legally get married here!
Soooo cute interview... 😘🥰😍 thxkkk u 💖
Lot of love from India🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Thanks for video😍😍
Sending all of u so much love!
i love watching these videos. seeing them so in love and so happy with one another 🥺 but it breaks my heart knowing they can’t be as open as they should be just because it’s “taboo.” i wish all the best to the lgbtq+ couples living in places that are still close-minded. here’s to hoping korea progresses in changing their views, or they find a home that they can live their lives peacefully.
my fiancee and i have been together 25 years this year and we are getting married next week!
Congratulations!!!
This video made me so emotional. I hope all the couples here are able to find happiness and acceptance. It's so heartbreaking that they have to choose between getting married and having a family together or staying in Korea with friends and family.
It's so crazy to stumble on a CZcams video that has your friends in it 🤣
Always love content like this
even if everybody in the world turn against the LGBTQ community, I'll stand by them :)) this is the essence of the community, not going out with your pp out. Everybody deserves someone who loves them eternally, who cares what gender. I love you guys so much ❤❤
Ayyyyyy Florida represent!! I think Tampa would be a great place because it is very accepting
it is so painful to watch such videos being a lesbian in Russia, where just a few days ago they banned LGBTQ and imposed huge fines for any "propaganda" of LGBTQ. I just want to love freely
the way I live in the US and can relate to Carrisa's family situation... I hope I can be as loyal to my true self in the future and be happy too. everyone deserves love and I hope all countries can agree on taht someday
The way Carissa looks at her wife....🥲🥲🥲🥲😫😫😫😫
I'm subscribing you for these sweet people😍
get married soon guys, i want to see y'all extra happy and have babies too :)))
Yoooo no matter what Korean couples are so fashionable. I absolutely love it❤️
Come to Canada. Very welcoming for LGBTQ couples and children. I wish though that it could be that way in Korea...hopefully one day very soon
Very interesting video. I enjoyed hearing from these couples
My sister and her wife got married in September. She was adopted from China but, grew up in the States. My hubby is from Korea, he was also adopted. We live in Washington State, the Western side of the State is very open and accepting. More so that Florida, the don't say gay law is horrible but, to each their own. To any gay couples in Korean please reach out to your community and find your people. I hope for change.
I feel the korean couples so much, because me and my girlfriend would also love to get married, but unfortunately it's not legal where we're from. So, honestly I relate.❤😅
Early!!!! ❤
I enjoyed this video it was very informational its sad as well all three couples are so sweet wishing them to have all the happiness in the world.
They are so cute I love their relationships
I remember I hear a lot “being gay is an American thing” yeah that’s why your turkish husband has gay voice
Am so happy to see this ...
In Spain it's possible both: to marry and you can to adopt. There are a lot of families LGTBIQ+ with happy children. Specially in Barcelona, a lot of people have open minds.
I wish you all luck in your relationships and happiness
St. Petersburg is one of the most LGBT-friendly cities in Florida-- I hope you can all visit someday :)
Keep fighting Korea 🏳️🌈
That “that’s our goal” part broke me
Oh man, that and "that's our dream" in response to having a baby. 😭
All three couples are adorable … I also want to get married life is too much single 😅
Ohhh I love this video. I hope to meet some foreign lgbt couples in the future ❤🥰
Great content !
This one is going to make me cry
would love to be on a show like this
Aww this was so sweet. Well, you guys can come and get married here in Europe too. Who knows, maybe (correct me if I'm wrong) in Thailand, New Zeeland, Australia, you can do so too? Getting married and building a family in one of those countries? If so, it's closer to home right? I hope you can make it. Indeed, if Korea is still not okay with single mom's it will take long until it's okay with us 🏳️🌈 as people, couples or families. My country was in that spot decades ago and nowadays it's so different, way more welcoming and we have the same rights as everyone else, regardless of more conservative views from some people. You can also raise the children for a few years abroad and then return. They will learn a language and a different way of living and then they can return to Korea and enjoy their time in both places. :) (Portugal, EU)
Great episode
It's my first time seeing a Korean Lesbian.
This was such a wholesome video. I really wish all the best for these couples and hope that marrying same-sex partners will soon be legal in South Korea!
cuando vi que las chicas se emocionaron cuando les dijeron que estaban casadas supe que este video me iba a hacer llorar…..tenía razón
loved it
Doha’s diary channel 😮❤
I can't watch this, I'll cry
All of them are really cute 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Idk why but i feel jenually soo happy whenever i see a gay couples or leasbin couples.. they only made me belive that true love still exists.. although my besties are leasbins and are in a very cute and beautiful couple... I ever sow.. idk how relationships works.. cuse i was never been an any relationship and still im not... I honestly never meet anyone who honest with me .. specially boys .. sorry but it's just my personal experience..
Wishing that all their wishes will come true one day in the same way they want it to be. And the way of love in their eyes when they look at each other shows that love is always love. It's sad that a lot of people can't open up their feelings the way they want. But trust me , world is changing and the perspective is changing. Let's hope atleast our near future generations to be open minded and have the tendency of acceptance. And I wish them all goodness and happiness of the world
the three couples are so cute 🥺🥰🥰
Wonderful to see the gay couple and a happy married lesbian couple in South Korea you all are welcome to the UK
That's beautiful.
I guess a lot of Korean same-sex couples really want to go to US for legalize their marriage and it really shows.... Hope they'll do someday.
I hope they’ll be able to marry someday
wow i was surprised when she said in the Philippines coz i know it's not yet legal here although we have gay ceremonies. maybe they had ceremony here then made it legal abroad
I admire the gay couple being out and proud in korea its really hard to be gay there I heard many sad stories how the society treats them badly and like they don't exist.
Another good option would be Ireland, if they can! I am currently studying abroad here, and there are pride flags everywhere. It feels more accepting than in the US
I believe some day gay marriage will be legal in korea 👏
I wish the best for all the couples... I hope Korea will accept you one day
Spain is also an option and you get the good weather. I am gay myself and I am currently engaged. We will be gettimg married soon.
