@@tiffanytong4667 Exactly. Finally someone gets it. I find it super cringy that a fanfic was used to make an actual movie. Not only that but the relationship screams toxicity to me and I’m not into romanticizing unhealthy relationships.

@@lamiaatajani6982 yeah. I don't think Koreans are "pure" per se- everyone is different & they're all human so saying that would definitely not be correct. I was just referring to Kdramas and how they stick to the more romantic side of things & not sexual as much as western dramas do (which I support).
Also I think media can set certain guidelines for the men. Kdramas focus more on building personal relationships instead of making sex the most important thing about it all. This in turn can make the audience's relationships stronger and generally more meaningful- IF they do take it on board.
So it would be nice if they stayed like that.
Media has power and the more westernised the dramas would get the more likely it would be that the current culture would change too. The change could arise from normalization of things that are not currently considered as 'rightious' in the society e.g. one night stands.
In the end they could loose what makes their society... them.
That's the reason I watch kdramas. It sets a better example than the 'Hollywood' culture that's infiltrating the world's morals and values.

This couple are a really great combination so fun and adorable to watch. I particularly like how the boy is giving an analysis of scenes, and the girl all about the action on the screen (she kind of reminds of the cute funny thirsty virgin ghosts you sometimes see in Kdramas).

It's interesting how different things are in Korea. I'm from America, and I was surprised when the girl said she thought it was a bit much for teens to be doing this. (they're sooo cute btw)
you should watch some teen korean dramas, you won't see anything like this at all. also, i think koren teens have less freedom to be doing this type of stuff after school b/c most moms are home or they go to hagwon (after school tutoring) all afternoon/evening just to get to college so they won't have much time to be doing this type of stuff till maybe after highsvhool, lol....
It’s really different. Not just in Korea, I think generally people in Asia are more conservative and reserved, it’s really not common in teen series where there is a scene of the couple making out, at most it’s just a kiss. While those in America are just more open and not conservative. Which is why I feel more comfortable and enjoyable watching korean/asian dramas than american ones as I find it unrealistic and unusual and things don’t happen like that from where I live.
I'm from Mexico and I'm not even allowed to have a boyfriend, to me those scenes are too much I mean I can't even kiss a boy btw I'm 15, and I've seen that in America it's so common for teens to start having sex at 16

This girl is me whenever a sexy scene comes on! As an American, I will say, I’m so over these types of scenes. I very much love the Korean dramas in which the characters build up the tension and then finally hold hands or kiss. It’s so much more satisfying to watch than a raunchy sex scene. I’m so over the western way of over sexualizing the teenage experience.

it really depends, cause while I think western media really hypes it up, I definitely know people who were doing that kind of thing at that age. So to a degree, it's kinda accurate. Depends on where you grew up ofc and who you are as a person. I wish they'd vary it though so not every teenage love story ends in a sex scene, etc. If we had shows like kdrama and then shows like what we have, it'd be fine

This is one of the reasons I love kdramas! Sex is such a major part of every american show and its always treated like something you just do with every person you meet, which isnt for everyone

Teenagers in Brazil are busy throwing parties away from their parents and doing exactly the same as they do in American teen love scenes. Some of them are busy taking care of their babies lol. These scenes are very normal for us, and I love the purity of Korean teenagers when they see them.

I LOVE THIS COUPLE! Jisoo & Seoyeon are SO CUTE!!! I love their reactions (and how the hold hands before watching the clip)! They make me feel like they are going to watch a clip from a horror or action movie when they ”brace up” and hold hands. 😊 They are so honest and open! I feel like CLAB really put Jisoo ”on the spit/in the hot seat” (especially his swallow at 3:21 & eye-pop at 5:18). They are so much fun to watch! Thank you CLAB STUDIO! 👍

a reason why i love kdramas is that they keep it romantic, sure occasionally there is a makeout scene where you know led to sex but so from what i've seen that mainly on rom-coms who have adults as the leads not teens
