Cecil my scalp is waiting to try this. LOL! You are every girl's best diamond, you just keep shining. Thank you for all you do here on this Channel, you are phenomenal. Blessings always to you and your family.
Our very own Cece... Thanks again for this beautiful shampoo recipe... What's the lay word for sodium sulphite please? I have missed watching your videos... Duties came calling .. but we're back by God's blessings. Love from Nigeria.
Good morning and thanks for sharing! Can we do it without SCI powder? And if we have neem oil , can we use instead of the extract and if we can, how much should we use in th mixture?😊🙏❤️
If you want it to texturize your hair (if you have thin or fine hair) add in up to around 1% by weight finely ground acacia gum (gum arabic) and blend aggressively. It needs a while to soak and hydrate before it thickens. Blend again after about 8 hours, then set aside to de-gas. I've found that my hair care products thickened with acacia gum tend to give my hair the most lift and texture that it has ever had, even compared with products designed specifically for that purpose. Just remember to put on a face mask and obliterate it in a spice grinder if the acacia gum is not an extremely fine powder. Luckily, you have hair with plenty of texture, so this isn't really a particularly important thing for you. Acacia gum can also be used in skin care and I've found that it provides a dry skin texture, unlike xanthan gum thickened products.
@@cecilvig I saw that you used a different gum that I hadn't seen before in your non-surfactant shampoo video. It seems to be of a similar composition to acacia gum, just with different polysaccharide chain lengths and different volatile organic compounds. I'll have to search for it and see if it functions similarly as a thickening agent. Acacia gum is lovely, but it absolutely has a smell that can be quite pronounced. If you don't like a more masculine rosin scent then it isn't very suitable. I've also found that it works best with additional secondary thickeners so that it maintains a suspension, especially when the primary solvent isn't water. I've also found that you have to be cautious using certain thickening agents if you want your product to actually foam, as many of them seem to directly impede the foaming action, which can also make application less efficient. I love watching your videos, in part because I find your accent charming, but also because I can see that you really take the time to try to ensure that the recipe you provide will be suitable for as many people as possible, and viewers can readily augment it with other actives without things going horribly wrong.
Hi Cecil thank you for the video always wonderful content. God Bless You. Quick question your strawberry extract video can I use blueberries instead of strawberries

Doesn't neem cause heat? I know for plants, neem must not be sprayed during the day... must be when the sun is not hot. I am not sure if this has the same effect on your scalp... Sun exposure must be avoided?
Dear Cecil thank you for this video. Did you extract the neem by your selve is the neem extracted using oil or water? Also can we substitute aloe vera water with any other active ingredient extracted with water?
Thank you for watching the video. Yes used my fresh neem leaf extract: czcams.com/video/dH6kGsgb2Mc/video.html Yes you can replace aloe vera liquid with any other hydrosol that suits your hair type.
