Oh man, so awesome. I'm just getting back into it. Wife got me a Roban 800 Huey for our anniversary but I decided to get the raw 580 to set up and practice so I don't completely destroy the scale bird right off the bat.
Phenomenal Build Jason! Are you sure it's going to have enough POWER? 🤔😂🤣😂 Great job on the Boom Letters and last but certainly not least, a killer Flight from one Beast of a Goblin RAW! I always joke with Greg about Stickers but not with you, Jason, you've got a Strong Sticker Game!! 🚁😍🚁

Nice! I have a 500 Sport (in pieces) that is my most beautiful, most aesthetically pleasing heli. But I have crashed it several times (including the latest one) because white becomes a black blob in overcast skies. Hard to tell on the video, although you had nice sunny skies. I plan to change it to yellow when I rebuild it. Anyways, just noticed you had also a white Raw so just thought about that, but pretty nice easy flight, really cool that 12S does not bog at all. You should try the 7S setup that seems to be popular these days.
Usually white works out well for me here in AZ, we usually have blue skies. Planning on gathering the stuff for a 7s (maybe 8s) build aswell

Nice video man! I'm thinking of getting into this hobby but one of my questions that I couldn't find an answear anywhere is: how much runtime (6s, 7s, 8s, 12s) can you get in one go?
Thank you! I usually have flights close to 4 minutes. But it depends on headspeed more than the cell count.
With my 700, if i’m at my normal headspeed of about 2200, i get 3:30. If i drop it to 1800, or even 1600, you can get 6 or 7 minutes or more.

im tryin to buy one of those mikado vbar touchs and they are sold out everywhere. cant even find one on ebay. are they not making them anymore?
They are having supply issues due to everything going on in the east. Chip shortages, etc.
@@jasonb1999 thank you for the response, I got a spektrum when I got a gaui x3 but it was really difficult to setup and all the 3d heli pilots I see on CZcams have the mikado. All I can do is basic flights around a field but that’s all I can comfortably do. I just got a 700 goblin raw. Do you have any tips on how to safely fly it I always see people flying pretty close to it and it makes me nervous. I feel like I should be behind a tree while I’m learning. I got real flight but that doesn’t seem to transfer over to reality for me whenever I go to fly it doesn’t matter how much practice in the sim I have.
@@dominicklittle9828 First thing, Fly at a flying field. Especially now that you’re at a 700 size, don’t fly it anywhere except designated fields.
Keep it far enough from you, and high. If you’re too intimidated with the 700, learn on the X3! Just tons of practice man. The sim should help with your orientation practice and trying new things before trying in real life.

@@jasonb1999 I built the x3 and I couldn’t stop it from shaking in the air and so I bought a pre built one and then crashed that one and couldn’t get it to fly right so when I saw the sab goblin instruction manual I felt like that was the next step. I could barely follow those Taiwanese translated instructions.

Yes that’s correct! Only downside is the weight. And… it doesn’t need that big of a motor. I just like overkill.

One last thing, what's the maximum esc size I could fit in there?
@@MyselfStefano Depends on the brand probably. I’m going with a Kontronik 140 HVI. I doubt the Kosmik 200 and HW 200 would still allow the canopy to fit. But the smaller 200’s like the Scorpion would probably fit.
