Ali Abulaban double murder trial | Defense rests, closing arguments expected Friday

- There were tense moments inside the courtroom Thursday as testimony continued in the double murder trial involving former social media personality Ali Abulaban.
Abulaban is charged with killing his wife Ana and her friend Ray Barron. Thursday was the third day in a row Abulaban has taken the stand.
For the majority of the day, the prosecution cross-examined him, during which time, there were a lot of tense interactions.
At one point, Abulaban got upset when the prosecution accused him of yelling the word ‘respect’ while he shot Ana and Barron, something he denies.

I noticed that. In court, you can't testify about what other people are feeling or thinking. Defense should have objected.

The last person I saw that defended himself on the stand was a guy who shot and killed his own family but son survived. He got the death penalty.

In Texas they have a special exception for crimes like this called "crimes of passion" in adultry and cheating cases. Where the defendant can get only 10 years for murder.
