Great storyline. Doing the right thing may not bring immediate rewards, but it will. And weeding out a greedy friend in this story was the biggest reward given.
This happened to my sister. She found a wallet just lying in the produce section of our local grocery store. For some reason she brought it to me instead of turning it in to customer service.
I worked for our local Police Dept. at the time so I looked in the wallet to get the persons address and it turned out she basically lived around the corner. We drove over to her house and I gave her the wallet. She was so glad! She took out all the money she had in the wallet(7.00)and gave it to me, I said no, no, no, but she insisted and said she wished she had more. I was just happy to return it, if it happened to me I would hope someone would do the same.
I just saw your comment as I posted mine… Totally opposite opinions 😅 I thought it was a bit too much with the “paying hospital bills” and befriending a doctor in under 3 minutes and also going out for lunch… imagine that happening if you lost your wallet and a stranger knocked 😅 I could see myself giving away money as a thanks, but that would also be it…. 😅
Always keep your integrity and never let anyone stop you from doing what's right

That was wonderful and she found a true friend. I taught my children if they found a wallet or a purse to bring it home and we would find who the purse or wallet belongs to.
I hated when the friend said well the money is half mine. I was like the money never belonged to you in the first place

Great video Supermission. Joanna's friend Stan seems to believe in Finders Keepers, rather than return it to the rightful owner. What a jerk! If he doesn't care about the wellbeing of others, then he isn't a good friend. Joanna did the right thing. A little kindness goes a long way.
RETURN IT
I think it's a massive red flag that her friend wanted to steal the wallet and take the money. Doing the right thing is not always easy sure enough but taking someone else's money like that is just low. You just never know who that other person is, since they could be struggling in life as well.
The way you treat people who you don't even know or those that cannot do much for you speaks volumes about your character.

She did the right thing giving the wallet and the money back. That jerk did her a favor by not wanting to be her friend anymore, he was nothing but trouble. And another thing she's the one that found the wallet not him, he didn't even see it on the sidewalk, he walked right passed it. Again she did the right thing.

Stan was such a petty crook and jerk when he not only suggested stealing money from the wallet but also ended his friendship with Joanna when she tried doing the right thing. She's better off without him
I thought she was going to be the one that wanted to keep the money and the boy was going to be the one who wanted to return it. Ended up being the other way around. If there was no ID or address I would keep the money but if there was I would try to return it.

I know this makes a good story but, maybe just a biiit too much icing on the cake…. I mean, giving a stranger a “finders pay” with the money in the pocket could’ve actually happened - but moving on to paying her hospital bill *pffff* come on… 😅😂 and further more, then becoming “besties” with a doctor…??!! Please, the person writing this story must’ve been in dreamland - but okay, that’s no crime I know (just a bit too much for me, but as I’m writing this comment I also realize that I’m kinda on the edge of being a “Karen”. Not my intention….
Dump that friend, he has no integrity eventually he will do something else that would make you lose your friendship anyway, cut your losses now.l learned that the hard way.

Joanna definitely did the right thing by return the wallet . I would have done the something . Stan on the hand is not a good friend .Why on earth does he think someone else money , should be his. Did he ever think that might be some one all money they may have for week, or for month .
