      I was at Chisos #47 ... I think. Not much scenery before you get there.

      cway44 ... Yes, it is. My wife and I slept in the back the past 5 days at Fawn Lakes campground near Red River, NM.

    Today, I'm in Alpine, Texas near Big Bend. According to a local publication. There are developed campgrounds at Chisos Basin (I was there ... once), also Rio Grande Village and Cottonwood. All have water, restrooms and some with private shelters. Rio Grande Village is the only location in the park with full hookups. Public showers and laundry facilities are available at the Rio Grande Village Store. Most campsites are first come first served and are most popular during March and April. That's according to the Fall 2018 Big Bend and Texas Mountains Travel Guide. Call the Ranger Station at (432) 477-2251 for more info. Their hours of operation?
