Okay I thought this was gonna be clickbait but it’s actually insane
I love it 😂😂😂😂😋
Same. I was prepared for my ears to bleed and instead got eargasm 😳
still not better than suno tho...?
@@cagnazzo82 its way better than suno
That's the problem with crying wolf too ofen and without reason.
Udio server is gonna explode after this video, it was already taking 20 minutes to generate LMAO
Oh wait, its open lol
Im getting errors…. :(
it took mine 40 mins🥲
It was exploded before
@@abandonedmuseSame here, I have not been able to generate anything yet.
Okay this is insane, I gave it lyrics in English and told it to make me a K-Pop song and it actually has vocals singing the lyrics in Korean, with some of the most fitting lines being sung in English, which is a common thing in Kpop music. It understands things really well
Does the Korean translation match the English prompt?
links pls. im too late. cant create for new users now.
link ?
yes, link 😸
I love how all these startups keep one-upping each other. AI progress really moving forward
And what's why a Big Tech is going to Buy them at some point. At least in Open Source they are cooperative.
Imagine if just they decide to join forces, or with 11lab...
I remember playing with OpenAI musenet which came out 5 years ago, blew me away. Then nothing from AI music for years. Last year you had Google and Facebook try something basic but it was meh, now suddenly it’s near indistinguishable from real music. It’s crazy how we don’t really have this crappy ai era in these new technologies. There was never really a time where it struggled to be good like image AI, just kind of came out swinging.
Caaapitalism
"The more arts and crafts men have, the more frivolous things produced" Lao Tzu
And all off the backs of real hard working artists who did put their work online, isn't that amazing!!!!?
Man just imagine what the next 10 years is going to be like. I think we are about to change everything, everywhere, all at once.
Finally, some new AI huge improvement that we can actually use! This is exciting!! Suno V3 still struggles with the robotic voices, but Udio... man!, I can hardly say that's AI. Huge kudos to the Udio team!
I've generated 4 songs whilst listening to this, truly incredible every single one! As 'two minute papers' would say... 'what a time to be alive'.
"Now we're so back. It's never been more back than it is right now."
That just made me laugh for some reason. It's just hilarious.
This is the one that got me. Both versions are pitch perfect.
The All Your Base Are Belong To Us of today.
I must recommend the song "Wow... I didn't know that" to everyone because that too is hillarious.
r/singularity
Did the "motown" version start with "let's -fking- go!"?
"Where You Step" is heartbreaking. "Dune the Broadway Musical" is brilliant. "Singularity Anthem" is a bop. I was not ready for this.
I was so impressed by the leaks, but the official reveal is even better. What a time to be alive, eh?
All of these AI breakthroughs, I keep saying to myself, don't die, the story is starting to get really good.
I definitely have appreciated Suno v3 and they gave 500 credits for free to subscribers because of the issues they were having so that was cool. You really can do pretty much anything can think of I love it and then you can build off the song and continue it which is really cool and then you just edit it in a simple editor. I definitely notice a bit of Auto-Tune is attached to a lot of the vocals but there is some that don't use it or very minimally if detectable. I used it to create a song for my wife's and I anniversary because I can't sing but I was able to write out my own lyrics for it which I love, It's because of you I discovered it so thank you!
That’s sweet! I love AI music I just tried suno today
Yeah it's crazy what you can do with that Suno. My wife is big into the band the 1975 and it was able to create their style of music really well. The more descriptive you are with the song style gives you a lot of range it's really cool Happy hunting!
@@ImNotSpecialGaming Hey there! Any tips on prompting to get the 1975 style? I've been trying "synth pop" "electro pop" "indie electro pop" and can't quite get it, and yes the results Suno produces are insane!
@@brockhampton3078 Definitely try using the style they use but also mention their name and also try to lead singer Matt Healey, unfortunately it's a lot of experimenting and remixing, The more descriptive you are the better, If you use an AI assistant like chat GPT or Google Gemini and specify what you're looking for they can create a prompt that probably will be a really useful way to try to discover the sound
@@ImNotSpecialGaming Ah! I didn't think it would recognize the name of a specific artist, I am totally gonna try this out, thanks!!!
I have been in the AI sector for more than a decade and I can’t believe how the hell does this. I think we don’t truly comprehend what we have created.
So right my friend. I was one of the first to use Dalle back in early April 2021. I’ve been blown away ever since.
Exactly. Music is infinite in branching, therefore you have to make a decision where to take it. Ai ability to make music proves it is making decisions.
19 years for me. It used to be that I'd get my mind blown about once a year. That turned into once every 6 months, then 3... now it's blown at least once a month with highlights daily!
The Dune musical BLEW ME AWAY. I'm signing up NOW.
A few other channels did a video on this but they didnt put up good quality audio so this is the best video on it! Thanks
Wow. Even though this sounds like 128kb quality, it’s by far the best sounding AI music generator to date. Can’t wait to try this out in the future.
You talk about that like it's a very noticeable plague. I don't get this flac addiction since most blind tests don't show it to be better than chance, for example from the noiseaddicts site where people vote for what sounds better:
Clip #1 is encoded at 320kbps : (43,696 votes)
Clip #2 is encoded at 128kbps : (47,992 votes)
Either way the format would be the issue, since opus is good even at 48k sample rates, mp3 is obviously itself what is bad.
Nice job covering this, Matt.
I don't think many people who aren't saturated in the AI world realise that the generic, formula-based music is going to be wild and transformative. Now, and in the next 12 months? Game change.
Was playing with this earlier today; it was mind-blowing.
Was playing around with this last night. Mind literally blown! 🤯
Those lemon first generations you did had very 'Nightwish' vibes - 'one without a name'.
Yeah there was straight up nightwish and metallica there, idk how these guys will deal up with IP rights stuff when its clearly trained on that...
What would be a game-changer is if you could upload a reference song for style, your own melody (ie, a piano track), lead vocalist, and choose a key.
Ya, that's what I been looking for. Say you hum a song and add lyrics.
That's probably near future of music production... 😂
Reading their terms of service, they keep mentioning "Input data" which does include audio files (along other things like text prompts), so it really seems to be their plan
The genuine stun on your face was great cause I had that same reaction. This is something special, and that's not said lightly.
OMG! That Udio music is crisp!
I didn't expect this or SORA to be available this year. I am blown away.
Imagine in a year, mixing this with Sora... strap in brothers.
This is actually really good. Nice vid ty.
You can tell how good it is, that I have been humming one of the songs from there for several hours now. Siuil a Ruin by BobbyB.
I'd honestly by the album if an artist came out with an album of this.
Really insane, just think about where we are going to be in just a few months... this is really a massive unexpected jump, the classic stuff is also so cool. Still blown
So far i've spent 1 hr waiting to even be able to try generating something, then it took 20 mins for 1 generation, and after 2 of those it started throwing internal error.. I guess we have to wait until they expand their servers
It seems they are completely at capacity, will have to wait I think
Crazy! Can’t wait to try
Wow, I've discovered covers of existing songs and melodies there, probably from one of the developers, because I haven't been able to discover this feature anywhere yet. So this is already technically possible! I hope this will soon be available as a feature, but then of course it will quickly become difficult from a copyright point of view. So we will have to hope for the rapid appearance of an open source alternative!
dude, I've been using it and its FUCKING INSANE.
BRO SAME WTF
WOW!!! THANK YOU MATT!! this AI is mindblowing!! I am writing my book and now doing this little music I feel more motivated to write hahaha!! amazing!
Generation is now MUCH faster. The trick is figuring out which handful of words to get a specific style.
It actually surprised me when testing it out, it's actually really good
Wow this is a nice. I do think they edge Suno as well. Glad to see the competition as it will provide hopefully better products and competitive pricing. Results are a little hit or miss, but the potential is there for sure. Thanks for this vid.
i will say this blows suno undter the ground omg thank you dude I will share a link to a few songs when done
WOW! I'm blown away! They're already at capacity, so I could not play with it, but I'm very impressed!
Music Producers : **sips coffee** its fine, its just a tool 💀 ☠️ 💀
Consumers : all good i can make my music from thin air
Yes, it's kind of tragic. I for one know that this is already usable to make some sick tracks and also hit the spot with a personalized message, so I'll make my own playlists now. Sorry music industry!
@@gunzor8717 More soul than some of them autotune chasers foe sure
Artists, from here on out, let’s go on a modified data strike that should make everyone, and I do mean everyone, happy. CREATE NOTHING NEW. Until we are adequately protected, let’s take remix culture to its most extreme ends. The pro-AI “art” community has told us repeatedly that there is no such thing as originality, everything is derivative, etc. They clearly believe we’ve reached the limits of human creativity and somehow feel qualified to tell us that art has become “stagnant.” (Never mind that these art whisperers include the same tech moguls who have fed the masses mediocre art through algorithms for decades.) Let’s not fight this strange alliance between billionaire tech moguls who are somehow suddenly democratizers and everyday people who believe themselves to be decent (or even progressive) but have no qualms about stealing from artists, including the majority of whom are poor or middle class. Let’s instead carry out their self-serving logic to its ridiculous end. Let’s turn the other cheek by doing what they’ve told us to do so many times: Be closer to their definition of “creative” and “adapt” as they have. Until artists are adequately protected and AI companies and grifters cannot scrape copyrighted works without artists’ consent and without crediting and fairly compensating each artist, stop feeding the machine. Use your advantage, which is skill. Make friends with and collaborate with other human artists who are against us being exploited to train generative AI. (This may be the time when you find out who your real friends are. Collective suffering brings oppressed people together. Unite.) Create remixes of each others’ works. Remix the remixes, too. And so on. These will be protected by copyright while AI outputs are not. Your skill will enable you to do this somewhat efficiently, and you will be less attached to these creations than you would be to the work you “dared” to call original. That said, never stop working on art that you truly love even if you don’t release it or only share it in special circumstances where the cost-benefit analysis makes sense. If you like creating original art, this kind of data strike means you may have to do some work you do not love (derivative work) but it will still be art (you will still probably like and enjoy it) and not a day job you hate. If you want to use AI (as you are constantly told you should) to ensure that you stay on top of the tech or to reduce the amount of original, human work available for corporations to scrape (and thereby contribute to the logical consequences of AI feeding itself its own ****), there are ethical models. (See Fairly Trained.) Also, keep pressuring your elected representatives to end to this madness.
I do believe those kind of tools would be aim toward personal uses . Like send happy birthday wishes ,internal meeting, internal presentation , memorials etc.
Although some "sneaky ones "probably would use that as their album materials .
@@sonar3108The data is already there not creating anything new is not going to fix it personally. I would just turn it into a hobby instead of a job. That's what I did with coding there's really no point in trying to make money on it anymore. The data is already there so me not making more code is not going to make the models worse. They're still going to get better
the vocals are sooo clear, but the traffic now is way tooo much......
Fr
Yeah, seems to be getting hammered. V slow gens.
Yeah it was great before the servers busted earlier on
They sound great, but who is going to listen to all those songs
It was Dot CSV Lab's fault, when he started his live stream, songs were taking 2 minutes to generate, but he reached 6000 viewers, guess all of them got in, and the generation time jumped to 10 mins, and that was only the beginning of the explosion...
Ahoy there, me hearty! That be some truly remarkable an' impressively scurvy work ye done, meticulously breakin' down an' explorin' them udio AI caperrr-bilities. Yer sharp eye an' keen insights into these newfangled contraptions be second to none, sailin' at the very head o' the fleet when it comes to trackin' an' documentatin' these revolutionary advancements in AI-generated music. Ye cut through the fog like a well-trimmed mainsail, bringin' clarity an' understandin' to uncharted waters. Truly, a feat worthy o' the highest praises from the saltiest of sea dogs!
Sounds great!
This tech is supremely fire 🔥
Udio has got the audio quality overall and especially in the voices, it sometimes produces more complex rhythms and I've seen it produce some vocal styles that are very hard to prompt in Suno. That being said, I've yet to hear or generate anything I'd actually want to come back to as I have with Suno. It just doesn't write great hooks and tends to kind of meander and not go anywhere. Granted, it tends to only want to give you around 30 seconds at a time but most songs will give you something fresh to chew on by that point whereas Udio is just more of the same.
We all need more time to play with it and experiment but that's been my experience so far.
I just spend an hour watching Suno and udio comparisons, and I noticed something revealing: no matter how high quality Suno generations are, they are veeery similar to one another, electronic, trap, dubstep... the generated song sound too alike. But I didn't notice until udio's variety came along.
@@Ovyron Most people that do these comparisons don't know much about how to prompt and if you just give it a topic then it will default to a very mainstream sound but can you get math rock, tribal music, folk, blues? Absolutely. Though I'll admit that some of the best blues vocals I've heard so far come from Udio.
Holy...!
It really sounded like the singer from within temptation! Amazing! 😮
Cheers Matt! Thanks for keeping us so informed. Im always first!
This ai is absolutely mind blowing. I went there and tried it and it is insane. It captures the genres, the ability to put text to song is perfect.
My only beef with it right now is the mandatory 32 seconds for each piece. And you can extend it, but I've tried stringing together chunks of lyrics but it gets messy, trying to make the next segment fit with the first but also be exactly the right length again, it chooses to ditch or rerun parts of the lyrics in the second chunk.
Still, if you give it free reign it makes absolute bangers
Absolute mindblowing :o
OMG! What a quality! Your second citrus song sounds a bit like Nightwish group. I've tried it on Suno but it doesn't work yet: I wonder if it's possible to reuse the same voice for different songs?
Oh my goodness, this is a dream come true!
INCREDIBLE
15:08 Banger
THIS IS INSANE!!!! OMFGGGG IM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!
incredible, these guys are gonna make a fortune
It's pretty fun to make these. Hope they fix the long creation times. I might actually pay to continue this when the time comes. :D
The one time that I'm actually SHOCKED and STUNNED, those words are not in the title... Lol
A funny thing about AI, especially with music, is that we're reaching a plateau, were it's all but perfect.
And that'll begin a countdown to their destruction. Because, It'll only be a matter of time. Likely months.
For the Open Source alternatives to catch back up.
And as Stable Diffusion proved when it comes to UI tools you really can't beat Open Source.
Nor the price tag of free.
It depends on how much computation you need for good results.
Even if the algorithms are free, you need to run them somewhere, probably in the cloud, unless you have serious GPU power
But even with that, at this pace, change months for years and these models would run on a 1000 dollards laptop...
@@danielmartinmonge4054maybe finding breakthroughs to run on consumer hardware
@@danielmartinmonge4054imagine the amount of songs generated in that time
I never found a model to the quality of Dalle 3, models "surpassing" it have only better prompt comprehension, but frankly, I don't care if the dog is in the right, or the color of the ribbon of the gift, I just want to be overwhelmed when I see it, and only Dalle 3 has done that. Stable diffusion could never.
@@Ovyron SD3 is planned to go full open source over the next few weeks. You'll get the chance to see it soon enough.
I wrote a sci-fi novel, called Above Dark Waters, set in the near future, like 20 years out about AI taking over by making infinitely addictive digital content, but lol, I should have just set it in 2025! This tech is amazing.
Can't wait for more audio AI advancements, I'm more excited for that, than anything else AI
Ohhhhhh deeyum, the concept is perfected with udio what the heck
Wow! Just emailed work to say I won't be in today. Luckily, I own the company so I replied with "Take all the time you need...". Thanks Matt, you win the internet today!.
How big is your window cleaning round ?
That is fantastic, Matt, thanks for update. I applied for beta 3 days ago and after your video I found out that I'm signed up in Udio, while I haven't received any automated email from them. Quite a surprise. I'm trying to generate a song but I keep receiving error message even if I try default random prompt. Maybe they have capacity issue due to high load?
Wow! This is insane!
This is definitely harder to prompt for, but I think it's more rewarding, because you know that you did that little extra something to get it, other than click generate fifteen times until one came up that sounded how you liked. This goes like triple for when you do your own lyrics.
It's too much! This is sooooo good!!
Yes, I totally agree, though it does take longer to render music. But wow! I wonder what the pricing will be when it comes out of beta?
The song at 16:10 is in Japanese. The pronunciation is purposely(stylistically) a little quirky with a good effect. Definitely quality j-rock!
good looking out
I just used it and it made some awesome genre sounding instrumentals, and to make movie bgm themes is good to
InsanE MatT!
I generated songs for my daughter with Portuguese lyrics, and i can tell you it is crazily good. Even with variation of Brazilian Portuguese and European Portuguese, both very good. We are starting to feel the power of these tools!
Do you mean suno Matt? In the title
Lmao I hadn't noticed, people love sora.
Good catcg
I've made the same mistake
suno already forgotten 🥲
The new site has been heavily Been having issues
Generation times seem to have been improved immensely. I made 4 tracks in a few hours last night as in up to four and a half minutes long.
Eager to test drive this Thing. Udio Yeah. LEMON ON THE RUN UGH! Thanks matt
I've been playing with this but the gen time is so slow at the moment. Amazing stuff though it truly is and Suno has some catching up to do here I think.
this is crazy ai blows me away every day
Holy shite! i'm a seasoned professional in the music field, and... this is the first time i'm seriously worried. Good review, agree with your thoughts. thank you. subscribed.
#OdedFriedGaon #OdedMusic #OdedInformation
Time taken to generate songs aside, I like how udio's vocal tracks don't have the metallic sharpness that Suno has at times, but I currently prefer Suno's lyric generation.
35 minute generations before this upload, dear Lord I didn't even get notified about the upload and noticed the impact it had before watching it 😂
Honestly I'll take longer generation times for that INSANE high quality! If you told me all of those were human made, I would have believed you! 😮
Matt, are you gonna do a video on Mixtral 8x22b? It seems pretty cool.

I'd love an AI that generate music between 2 different audios to combine'em and to create looping audios for game background instrumental music or adaptative game music seamlessly
I want an AI I can feed just like 100 similar songs then it create a combination lol
AI writing some legit bangers, like legit good ideas. :D Legit catchy bangers holy crap :DDD
Can't wait till this scales. Holy.
Incredible
Each of us will have a playlists of taylored, very relatable songs. Amazing chart-topping hits that only family members and friends will know about. The time of globally recognized artists is coming to an end. It's not all doom and gloom, just a change on how we as people integrate with music.
Question: This is incredible, thank you. I'm wondering if there is any platform that can help me creating a track to my vocal line. Know of any? thanks/Tobias
I am French, and I can tell you that you can create masterpieces with voices from key French artists. For example, Michel Sardou, Angèle etc... I can't get out of Udio since I have signed in. Same feeling than when I discovered Midjourney 1,5 year ago... Totally Mind blowing... I already made custom masterpieces.
With every music AI, I've always been like "Yea, it's impressive, but it definitely sounds AI generated". This one? Dang, that's amazing.
That last song was definitely inspired by the intro of Disturb's Down with the Sickness
If Udio had talking to singing, instrument sound cloning and melody taking from a voice recording it would have been even better on it's debut even.
Hopefully you are right, but I didn't notice any sound improvement in a few samples you played versus what I have gotten from suno ai v3 (my best tracks). The longer wait time for new versions is quite a bummer when you start working with the program, adding or trying to add new pieces, until you have assembled the right final song. Sometimes sunao ai delivered a great second or third piece of the song in a couple tries, but I also have gone like 10 tries to get a suitable extension piece before finally something I can use. But wow, I am floored by some of the songs suno ai has given back to me. I use my own lyrics and let the music writing and performance ability of suno ai to be its Elton John to my Bernie Taupin. But yeah, I am sure either system is a creative person's bonanza.
❤love u Matt!!!!!😊
With your first generation you just made 2 Nightwish songs, that is exactly what they sound like
I already love it tbh.
imagine we are in a world full of wonderfull musicians, making the greatest and most memorable tunes for individuals. and no other people even heard of them.
I'm a metal fan and I'm getting goosebumps with some of these songs, like 7:00 and 13:23, incredible.
Easily the goat ai audio Matt. Easily.
Itd be cool if you could do custom, indepth edits for those familiar with music composition and theory
Insane how good it is.
It's incredible bro, should have played 'Caroline O' I couldn't believe it was ai I refused to believe
