  • DCS WORLD 2.7 UPDATE - F/A-18C Hornet Beginner Series: Aircraft Taxi & Takeoff
    With the release of patch 2.7 to DCS world and hopefully an increased number of new players being drawn to this amazing sim I thought I’d go over the basics for all of you wannabe virtual hornet pilots out there.
    In this video, we will cover how to correctly taxi and takeoff in the F/A-18C Hornet from an airfield.
    The purpose of this series is to help with overcoming the steep learning curve and make it as easy as possible for anyone new to DCS and the F/A-18C Hornet to learn all of the systems and weapons that the hornet brings to DCS.
    I do stream on Twitch Monday through Fridays @ 1300 - 1330 AWST so be sure to come say hello and give me some crap / torniquethd

    Really enjoying this series. BRAND new to DCS and I purchased the Hornet as first aircraft. Sub'd and followed on Twitch. Keep it up - really enjoy the vids. Now off to try to apply what you've covered... great series.

    Bro do you use curvature on thrust ???

      Yeah I do but each throttle is going to be different as in throttle brands. Google DCS F-18 throttle curves and it should have some forum posts from people you can steal from for your particular throttle if they’ve made some custom ones

    Why do u need nosewheel disengage? Edit : ok I got it now. I never knew you have to disengage it at 80 knows LOl. What if u don't???

    • @TorniQuetHD
      @TorniQuetHD  Před 2 lety

      If you kick your rudders in over 80 knots you can spear your aircraft off the runway or flip it over from NWS inputs

      @@TorniQuetHD My twist handle on the joystick serves as rudder and nosewheel. DCS doesn't have a setting specifically for nosewheel driving.. So this means I am controlling wheel and riders at the same time?

      @@erfguuipo8084 yep, when NWS is engaged your rudder pedals or twist stick will control the nose wheel and when you disengage NWS your twist stick will control rudder
