Do the Pits. They have a lot of good moves. They have a very easy to pick up combo game. For example, auto cancel nair into auto cancel nair in dair is true and you can connect fair to fair. They can edge guard very effectively. They also has a combo throw that combos for a while and a meh kill throw. They really only have a few flaws like their up b which has no hit box and is linear, but their neutral b, down b and side b are all very useful recovery tools that help to detract edge guarding, and their air speed which is 0.935. It’s not the worst, but it’s down there with Dedede’s at 0.8.
Dedede, although the antagonist at first, eventually became one of the 4 main heroes of the Kirby franchise. Most of the time, you fight the King when he gets possessed, cloned, etc. By the way these breakdowns are great, but you forgot one thing: Analyzing the crouch.
What I always do after I break a shield, I like to take a bit of care to make sure that the opponent will be in the Side-Smash's sweet spot and fully charge the Side-Smash as well. A fully charged Side-Smash as well as hitting the sweet spot will kill most characters at 14% exactly.
King dedede is my main I was going to be inkling but then it was meta knight and then Kirby then mii sword fighter then k rool and so on and so forth but then I found the most perfect character for me and I’ve played dedede since and he’s really promising!
There’s actually 3 Gordo speeds, not 2; by tilting the stick down, it will go at a medium speed. It’s great to use in conjunction with his Dash Attack. Otherwise great guide! PS: the leitmotiv of king dedede is his down throw that can combo until death confirms with up air (also very usable bair at mid percents) and the use of gordo to ledge trap and edge guard, as a proyectile or putting it at the ledge, and following it up with aerials or hard punishes above the stage, like smashes or a spike. And now is more viable to use gordo as proyectiles, since you can reflect them with inhale, even if they aren't deflected. The patch did screw up a bit the gordo so it's easier to throw back instead of exchanging with it. If you have no option but to superjump into the ledge when there's somebody ready to edge guard, to prevent two frames, you can hold down to go over the ledge without grabing it, and maybe score a sort of dedecide with the spiking hitbox of up-b The f-tilt is more useful for punishing agression or badly spaced moves, because it's so active (having multiple hitboxes) and the length of the move itself, which makes it a wonder to cover ledge options. you missed a couple cool things about dedede. you can shark through the ledge with fair in addition to up air. when recovering with up b, you can completely skip grabbing the ledge and land on stage with the full force of the up b move if you make a semicircle with the control stick towards the direction of the stage. I've gotten some awesome kills with this and it's an excellent recovery mix up. the angle of his Gordo can now be controlled with the c stick as well, as long as you set your c stick to tilt attack. this allows for dedede to have over 5 different angles to launch his Gordos at, making them deadly for ledge trapping. overall, great video and hope i see more d3 mains online!
D-Throw combos into U-Air at pretty low percents, so I'd recommend trying that too. You can still use it at high percents, but it will require a bit of prediction.
While Dedede is at 100% or higher, his Down Special will no longer inflict self damage while holding it fully charged. So while you're at 100% or higher with Dedede, feel free to walk slowly and menacingly towards the enemy with a fully charged hammer. Also, something I do a lot whenever I'm close to an opponent with a fully charged down special is short hop and release mid-air onto the opponent. Since Dedede is *super* slow while walking and charging the hammer, short hopping before you reach your (opponent's final) destination but still close enough to where the hammer will hit at the top of the opponent's hit-box while mid-air will make sure that you take away the option of your opponent jumping to dodge. Also, for a brief moment while releasing the Hammer Charge (any % charge), Dedede will have invincibility (I believe it's just before and during when the hammer's hit-box reaches it's full length to the right/left). One last thing, fully charged hammer will always break a shield no matter what (unless they do a perfect shield of course).

Something worth pointing out about Dedede's Super Jump is the super armor frames. Essentially, when Dedede's is rising and falling, he can't be launched at all. However, when he is at the apex of his jump, he is vulnerable. That is why I would not recommend using the move at the blast zone consistently. While that is a great method of escaping many edgeguarding tactics, if your opponent has a decent spike they can just wait for you to jump and then spike you before you catch the ledge. Also, if you hold down your control stick while recovering with your Super Jump, you will not snap to the ledge and simply rise above it, and this is a great way to surprise people who focus too heavily on edgeguarding. I have gotten many kills and shieldbreaks by surprising people with that move, so I would recommend using it as a mixup every now and again.
As one who's been slowly transitioning mains to King Dedede, I've learned quite a few things about him from this video. 1) I didn't realize you could suck up an opponent's projectiles and shoot them back. I was using it like Kirby's sucking move. 2) I didn't realize his up air went through the stage if you were falling to punish edge-guarding. This is why I'm switching to Dedede. Great recovery and damage as well as having a wide array of options in battle.
Dedede new final smash: he pulls out a phone, dials a number, and yells into the phone "I NEED MONSTAH TAH CLOBBAH DAT DERE KIRBEH!" and then a MONSTAH comes out of the phone and CLOBBAHS the people in a certaint radius around dedede. If KIRBEH is on the stage, they focus on CLOBBAH-IN' DAT DERE KIRBEH!
While using the Super Jump, B/Special can be replaced with Up/Jump to cancel out of it. Although, I'm pretty sure landing after cancelling out of a Super Jump will take a few frames longer for Dedede to regain his composure, but don't quote me on that.
If you cancel dedede's superjump while you're too close to the ground, you'll go into an even longer landing animation. So make sure not to time it too poorly
Additional info on the Gordo that was left out of the video: If you smash the stick as you activate it, the gordo will be launched harder than if you tilt it. The forward-thrown gordo travels very fast if you smash it, and the upward-thrown gordo will move almost 0 horizontal distance if tilted. This is especially good for ledge trapping. Also, if you activate the move and then tilt your stick downward, the gordo will start off moving quickly forward like the forward throw, but will slow down and bounce more in place like the upward throw after a while. It's uses are pretty niche, but it can be useful if you want to mix up the timing from the usual forward throw or if you want to set up the bouncing gordo ledge trap a distance away from yourself.
You failed to mention how broken his reflect is. It can reflect some obscure moves like peach's counter and plant's cloud and is also the only reflect in the game that can be infinitely chained with itself

Couple lf things you didn’t mention. NAir combos into up tilt as well. So you can do NAir- Up Tilt- UAir. Down throw also combos into FAir. It’s a good combo to rack some easy damage. FAir and BAir can chain with themselves. They get me a lot of kills. I’m a Dedede main and thought some newer Dedede’s should know these additional combos from me. Great vid!
One more note on Dedede Dash attack is that when it's in use the hit box is raised considerably. If you see an opponent favoring down tilts or down smashes he can jump right over those and hit them with that beefy Dash attack!
During the Gordo Throw's wind up, pressing down will make the Gordo have a bit more bounce near the end. I usually use Up-Tilt Gordo Throw to keep it near me long enough to suck it up and spit it out for more damage as well as more velocity for the Gordo. (Every time a Gordo is hit/re-used like using Villager's Pocket or sucked up and spit out like with Kirby and/or Dedede, the Gordo does a bit more damage and flies faster each time, although there is a low cap to this.)
When fully charged dedede forward smash kills shield broken sephiroth at 47% from the opposite side of the stage Also guys gordo has priority over joker's side b whether he has arsen or not its really good for jokers who spam it And you can hit gordo downwards Also don't cancel up special near the ground the landing lag is pretty much doubled
Something to note regarding the up special, canceling to special fall just before you hit the ground will cause him to be even more vulnerable to attack
2:35 Too Close and two far are just a "ground only" quake effect from the shockwave of the hammer, where as the sweet spot is the hammer head, which can hit anyone (not just grounded).

10:25, actually, if you land it on stage, it is a decent kill move. Kills at higher percents, but has a great angle and power for getting a damaged opponent offstage. Of course it spikes as well, which is a bonus if used on airborn opponents, perfect for making montages.
I'm not sure if this is the same as priority but it is impossible to use a not disjointed hit box and not get hit by gordo. You will most likely just get hit and its really hard to trade with gordo(you get hit and send the gordo back). For almost every projectile, the gordo will trade with so both are hit, but it won't clang with anything. It can be useful for destroying powerful projectiles like charge shots, but you have to remember the gordo comes back. You get used to what angles gordo gets hit at with practice. That said, even if they use a charge shot, getting hit by gordo is better than a charge shot. You might say thats useless but you can set up situations where if the opponent attacks the gordo, their attack gets eaten and they get hit if their not careful and you don't get hit by gordo or you sheild and if the opponent doesn't attack it they get hit unless they sheild, in which you can grab or sheild pressure or bait an oos option.
You should do R.O.B. I don't think anyone has done a guide besides the bread n' butters of him. He's also attracting attention from being good in the air.
Be careful when dropping off the ledge to use uair for countering edge guarding because dropping off the ledge without touching the ground and regrabbing the ledge will cause you to lose your invincibility and grant your opponent a free stock. I learned that the hard way.
Also, you can actually cancel his upbeat at any time during The descent it just takes some time to getting used to and some training to time it properly
you forgot one thing about the jet hammer: it dips down a bit which means you can hit people who are hanging around on ledge too much other than that great video

First off, you might want to get more data in order to make these videos. King dedede's dash attack for example is really bad, but you can kill early only with hard reads. It also shifts the hurtbox so if someone uses pk fire, using dash attack will jump over it and hit ness

Also, if you activate the move and then tilt your stick downward, the gordo will start off moving quickly forward like the forward throw, but will slow down and bounce more in place like the upward throw after a while. It's uses are pretty niche, but it can be useful if you want to mix up the timing from the usual forward throw or if you want to set up the bouncing gordo ledge trap a distance away from yourself.

You failed to mention how broken his reflect is. It can reflect some obscure moves like peach's counter and plant's cloud and is also the only reflect in the game that can be infinitely chained with itself

Couple lf things you didn’t mention.
NAir combos into up tilt as well. So you can do NAir- Up Tilt- UAir.
Down throw also combos into FAir. It’s a good combo to rack some easy damage.
FAir and BAir can chain with themselves. They get me a lot of kills.
I’m a Dedede main and thought some newer Dedede’s should know these additional combos from me. Great vid!
Also, Gordo has 3 speeds (6 if you count the smashed versions of the regular speeds), not two
I enjoy using F-air all the way to the blast zone. It's really satisfying XD
One more note on Dedede Dash attack is that when it's in use the hit box is raised considerably. If you see an opponent favoring down tilts or down smashes he can jump right over those and hit them with that beefy Dash attack!
If a Gordo ricochets back at ya, just press side B again and he'll trow it again
During the Gordo Throw's wind up, pressing down will make the Gordo have a bit more bounce near the end. I usually use Up-Tilt Gordo Throw to keep it near me long enough to suck it up and spit it out for more damage as well as more velocity for the Gordo. (Every time a Gordo is hit/re-used like using Villager's Pocket or sucked up and spit out like with Kirby and/or Dedede, the Gordo does a bit more damage and flies faster each time, although there is a low cap to this.)
When fully charged dedede forward smash kills shield broken sephiroth at 47% from the opposite side of the stage
Also guys gordo has priority over joker's side b whether he has arsen or not its really good for jokers who spam it
And you can hit gordo downwards
Also don't cancel up special near the ground the landing lag is pretty much doubled
Something to note regarding the up special, canceling to special fall just before you hit the ground will cause him to be even more vulnerable to attack

2:35 Too Close and two far are just a "ground only" quake effect from the shockwave of the hammer, where as the sweet spot is the hammer head, which can hit anyone (not just grounded).

10:25, actually, if you land it on stage, it is a decent kill move. Kills at higher percents, but has a great angle and power for getting a damaged opponent offstage. Of course it spikes as well, which is a bonus if used on airborn opponents, perfect for making montages.

Little Known fact: you can actually down Throw footstool with King dedede if you hit up on the control stick it's really good for damage and reads!
Note, you can Weak N-Air > B-Air. It kills kinda early and it isn’t always true but it’s a great kill confirm.

I'm not sure if this is the same as priority but it is impossible to use a not disjointed hit box and not get hit by gordo. You will most likely just get hit and its really hard to trade with gordo(you get hit and send the gordo back). For almost every projectile, the gordo will trade with so both are hit, but it won't clang with anything. It can be useful for destroying powerful projectiles like charge shots, but you have to remember the gordo comes back. You get used to what angles gordo gets hit at with practice. That said, even if they use a charge shot, getting hit by gordo is better than a charge shot. You might say thats useless but you can set up situations where if the opponent attacks the gordo, their attack gets eaten and they get hit if their not careful and you don't get hit by gordo or you sheild and if the opponent doesn't attack it they get hit unless they sheild, in which you can grab or sheild pressure or bait an oos option.
I reccomend using dj -> up gordo if you are using it to bait sheild and you can mix it up with gordo spit

Be careful when dropping off the ledge to use uair for countering edge guarding because dropping off the ledge without touching the ground and regrabbing the ledge will cause you to lose your invincibility and grant your opponent a free stock. I learned that the hard way.
Also, you can actually cancel his upbeat at any time during The descent it just takes some time to getting used to and some training to time it properly

you forgot one thing about the jet hammer: it dips down a bit which means you can hit people who are hanging around on ledge too much
