DEDEDERIYAH comes out pretty slow but it's not as punishable
People tend to underestimate Dedede's range, since his fsmash and a couple other moves' hitboxes extend past the hammer a bit and people always forget the UpB stars on landing.
what i love the most with Dedede is when i just lost a stock and I use just after the hammer to take back a stock and it often works XD

Ryan Hippler You really only want to use Din's fire if your opponent is offstage, or if they are trying to recover. Din's fire is a very slow move and it leaves you open as soon as you do it because *although that fire travels quickly* Zelda herself remains in the animation for a while after using it, which would allow the enemy to strike at Zelda pretty hard mid animation. So although the Zelda here used up-b in very predictable way, using dins fire would have been an absolutely terrible choice. Especially against King dedede who could throw out his own better, faster, stronger projectile that would knock Zelda back and deal a decent amount of damage to her mid Din's fire. This is why her dowb-b phantom is the better move to throw out in this situation and matchup. So although this player made a few *mistakes*,his opponent failed to capitalize on them and so he kept going for the same moves. really the thing I could critic this zelda player on the most is the fact that he kept trying to do up-b back onstage, on his opponents shield.That really only works against people who don't know how to fight against Zelda or as a good mix up if your opponent isn't really expecting it. I wouldn't do that in elite smash where most people have a general understanding of how to fight against the other characters.
Ryan Hippler actually on second thought, after thinking about it I think you might be right. That Zelda player could have utilized Din's fire more effectively. Although I don't think he should have used it as much as he did, and that's where I would criticize him, I see where and why you would criticize how he used to move.
Same dont know how that zelda made it to elite smash. That player has no skill

For real tho, Dedede is combo food for a Zelda that knows what they’re doing and not JUST spamming (cause also for real, lots of Zeldas just B camp).
Bruh D3 is combo food for pretty much 50% of the rooster, but he can take it cus he is one big boi.

King Dedede’s F-Smash has a sour spot that’s a little bit beyond the head of his hammer. It sends out a shockwave that deals some damage and launches slightly.
Also keep in mind that you can inhale and spit back most projectiles, but not Zelda’s Phantom for some reason.
Too bad, that would be hysterical.
Dedede can swallow bytleth's arrow but only if it is not charged.
Devs should change his neutral a little bit, its the only reflector that can't return stuff thats bigger than him or that goes very fast.
The reason why he can’t swallow Phantom is that his blade hitbox is bigger than Dededes swallow, so he doesn’t have to get close to Dedede, and thus he doesn’t get inhaled

dedede is the best heavy hands down, good non-attack special move to play mind games, good projectile, good recovery, good reach with the hammer, and doesnt die easily. the only problem is his attacks are so slow but he's so fun..

@multijoe so if I just go against you with my Zelda and spam the phantom against you and I win it's a totally deserved win and I'm just the better player because I used a tactic that works? (even tho I just pressed one button). I don't know about you, but it doesn't look fun to me. I wouldn't have fun doing that and my opponent wouldn't either.
Also I'm not gonna respond to the street fighter thing since I don't play the game and know nothing about it.
@multijoe It's not easy for every character. Some just have the right tools to do just that, and some, unfortunately, don't. I main Dedede, and everybody knows Dedede has a hard time approaching, so I have to work twice as hard to do that. I don't wanna complain anymore, I'm trying to get better at the mu. But I'm not gonna lie, it's frustrating to see how much work I have to put in one fight that I eventually end up losing because I couldn't approach someone that was not even trying to fight me. I love my character and I sure as hell won't drop him just because a match up feels hard. I mean I've been through worse with my character before ( *coff* *coff* bayonetta *coff* *coff* ).
I don't wanna ruin the game for you, so if you wanna use that tactic, just use it. Know that there will be people far more upset about it than me.

Fun fact: I just learned between matches that Dedede don't just reflect projectiles and player items (Link's bomb, etc). He can reflect _large projectiles_ if thrown up. Toss a barrel up, inhale, and watch as a king vomits a large barrel at LUDICROUS SPEED.
I have over 4 million gsp with Ridley and Yoshi. But I still don’t have elite smash. Is there something I’m missing that anyone could help me with? My overall roster gsp is 3.94 mil if that means anything
Elite is currently about 4.1mil at the moment I write this.

Please go back to making "character is OP" videos. This is coming from a long-time fan. I speak for a lot of people when I say we miss the times when you didn't talk during the gameplay and just had funny music and editing. Now it's become annoying to hear you give a play-by-play of every match when we are able to see what's going on ourselves. The talking also feels extremely forced at times, with you rarely making any jokes like "hey now, you're a dead star". It's usually just you describing how you're playing, but if we want to know that, we can just WATCH what's going on. The videos feel less cared about and more rushed out onto the channel, and I hope you take this into consideration. Most of the Smash Bros. Channels I'm subbed to talk very little (if at all) in their videos.
