Tyree is definitely the one player that can put this defence over the top. If he plays anywhere near to his potential, that D line is going to be absolutely insane.

I’m a believer in Tyree Wilson. People seemed to either forget or just didn’t care that he was dealing with an injury throughout training camp last year. He didn’t even get to practice until week 3 of the preseason. He started off rough but he got better every week. He also has tools and traits that you can’t teach. He’s got elite power and length. Unfortunately, that’s all he has at the moment. However if he can develop 2-3 pass rushing moves instead of just bull rushing everyone, the sky is the limit.
Plus he was supposed to sit behind chandler jones but everyone should know what happened there

I appreciate your candor and honesty on players. Truly I do. Thank you for your support of Tyree Wilson. This year I believe 💯 % of our defense is extremely hungry so that being said injuries aside we can be dominant and fierce even feared. So if our offense can step it up who knows? The 12 man personel excites the hell out of me.
He could IMPACT our ENTIRE Defense if he breaks out, ENTIRE Defense! I'm expecting it, hope he does! Great Analysis! 🍻

Most rookies on the D Line don't have a 2nd move. He showed flashes last year. With a full offseason and training camp under his belt, we'll see improvement.

It’s not that we didn’t notice his injury last yr it’s that after mcdumbass the team looked solid in a lot of situations in the game koonce filled in awesome Spillane as well the addition of jack jones was perfect timing and my boi AOC looking like a true pocket threat I feel good for the nxt couple yrs 💯🏴☠️🏈
He’s attached to Maxx’s hip this off-season. If he hangs in there with Maxx he’ll be a beast.

Year 1 was a learning experience and a healing year.. Year 2 is going to be where we are going to see what kind of work hes been putting in to show for it. Physically he reminds me a lot of Jason Taylor, tall, thin,but unlike the former, Taylor was smart and had a legit moveset..Terminator-9 can get there in good time but he just needs to get there

This is almost like Cle Ferrel all over again. Except Cle wasn't as big and didn't have Crosby and a supporting cast. Wilson can get even bigger and dominate the interior. Pumped up for this season.

If he plays at the level he’s supposed to, we could have one of, if not, the best D-Lines in the league.
Wilson should play inside on passing downs. Crosby-Wilkins-Wilson-Koonce. They could be dynamic. I know others will rotate in but those four are going to be a problem for offensive lines.
The big question is did he develop a quick first step and a move other than a bull rush. That was his problem last year, slow off the snap and no moves. We will know in the first preseason game if he's improved.

Last year AP said that the first time he saw Tyree Wilson, he thought to himself “that’s Justin Tuck right there”. AP has recreated that Giants NASCAR package that he played behind in ‘07 when they beat the Patriots in the SuperBowl.
The Raiders defense made a huge leap when they moved Tyree to 3 Tech on passing downs & they started using Koonce with Crosby on the Edge. Those 2 moves plus the addition of Jack Jones in the secondary. By making those 3 moves, the defense started dominating. Now they added Christian Wilkins to the mix & if the Raiders are consistently good at stopping the run, they’ll be feasting on the QB on 3rd down.
Yes, Tyree will probably play some DE on early downs to set the edge & stop the run, but his biggest impact will be on 3rd downs when they slide him inside to 3 Tech & he & Wilkins push the pocket up the gut so the QB can’t step up.
Go back & watch how the Giants used Justin Tuck & that’s exactly how they’re going to use Tyree Wilson going forward. If the Raiders can score some points & get a lead, it will be fun to watch this D-Line hunt down the QB.
I wouldn’t be surprised if AP invites Justin Tuck to come in and work with Tyree on his hand fighting skills which Tuck was really good at on the interior and to teach him some of the tricks of the trade to interior pass rushing. Tyree will also be learning from Wilkins who in his first presser said he’s excited to work with Tyree & help him to reach his full potential.
The way I see it, this D-Line as it is currently constructed is going to dominate the line of scrimmage this next year. Can’t wait.

He is gonna surprise a lot of people imo. So many forget about he was hurt and wasn’t planned to play much last year. It was supposed to be Jones and he was supposed to just come in and relieve Jones from time to time. Now he is dialed in, and been learning from Maxx.

He’s going to be an elite run stopper. He will also be good at setting the edge against mobile QBs. It’s just his pass rush abilities I’m concerned about. You just can’t bull rush tackles in the nfl the same as in college
I'm very intrigued to see how PG implement's his blitzes now with this devastating DL (on paper at least). Let Maxx/Koonce stand up sometimes, if Pola Mao can develop he can become a box safety and cause havoc like his uncle...so many tools at PG's disposal. He will be poached for a HC spot if we end up a top 15 defense, but we're heading in the right direction!

I think he makes a big jump year 2 & he should only be at DT in limited packages he's built like a prototypical edge

In order for Tyree to improve, he needs to get faster off the snap. This was one of his knocks coming out of college and though he was slightly better towards the end of the year last year, he still was nowhere near as fast off the ball as he needs to be.
I would also like to see him use his long arms to block the vision of the Qb and tip or alter passes. Not everything has to be a sack

Yes, it has been sub-par draft picks but I think it is more about developing those players. It's also lack of stability in the front office and coaching. The Steelers and Packers are perfect examples. And, the Patriots in the Brady/Belichick era, as much as it pains me to say it. They were/are successful because of consistency throughout their organizations.
People forgot Khalil Mack didn't have a great first season either, it took until year 2 for Khalil to explode, Tyree could be the same way

I think tyree Wilson has all the potential to be successful in the NFL. He's a big guy, he's strong. I think in the practices he looks ready. Remember last yr he was coming into the season with limited practice and off an injury. He looks impressive RN tho.

I think he will play more snaps and you will see a huge climb this year. I believe this is the way the front 4 should be Max Crosby, Christian Wilkinson, then keep Wilson on the inside and Malcom on that other side. That's an unstoppable force if you ask me.

He was hurt last year people expect 20 sacks right away and today's players are just different take the time to coach em up that's something college seems to be lacking big time so many players come out and look completely uncoached
