Maybe it is because I am getting old but an anime with a thirties something MC is refreshing.
There's a few but they're underrated unfortunately.
The most recent I saw was from last year i.e. "Chillin' in My 30s After Getting Fired from the Demon King's Army".
In regard to the title thing, I like how a lot of anime are starting to put the title cards at the end.
Also that little riff of music that plays when he does a serious punch was the first music ever presented for this anime, in the original teaser trailer.

I love the kaiju 8 story. Only grap is they made the main character look derpie. But I get it. It's to make it more appealing for kids. The story carries its self. Back to back bangers after next episode. Straight heat for a long time. Even in the manga. Once 9 shows up.

Shinomiya might seem annoying but she’s one of the best characters. Honestly most of the side characters get a chance to shine and show off which I love.

Im pretty sure that him eating in Kaiju mode is a nod to how much he worked the past few months to control himself. In the beginning he shattered walls with a gentle touch, but now he can use chopsticks. Just my interpretation, but I like the subtlety.

Also if Kafka or his junior(forgot his name) doesn't say something on the lines of "Our job is to dispose of Kaiju remains and you don't expect us to smell like kaijus?"
