That's actually a sloppy job I don't like it at all I seen you get the prefabricated Parts you got to stand that whole f****** frame down to bad battle and traded and then weld prefabricated Parts charge if you're going to go that route I'll start doing it all and don't even buy the f****** shock I wouldn't buy a f****** truck but I rotted frame I don't care how nice it was I'm not typing what I meant to say you got to stand the frame down to bare metal and then treated with rust reformer and all kind of treatment then we'll do the prefabricated partial look-alike better be a lot stronger than making your own s*** do you want to spend a $500 well job because he held aloof AJ are bumps or whatever or shock it off is a week for a minute or rock the other way of showcasing so far won't even buy a truck with a frame like that paintbrush it even though I did find one in the past use it for parts and then I just told me helping fund own cardboard boxes to make a difference anyway what the f***** the triplets are so looking for $2,000 and I paid 23 for it so I lost money but I got the parts that I needed the door a couple of interior parts to bed liner I just wanted some minor s*** the fender and the door was the same color so I put the other ones back on with a couple little things in it I was lucky to get rid of that piece use some cardboard Bondo and take the whole thing black put a bed liner in the back of a shot to look great white 2 wheel drive in about 15 years ago maybe longer trouble

Off your top die to edge of material or evan another mark in say a channel to your mark spin then off inside of previous bend , your measurement less half of your top die thickness puts you on your mark 100%

@@Jvcomet you’re right, absolute garbage steel. Toyota replaced the frame on my 2005. The 2004 had a rebuilt title so Toyota wouldn’t honour the service campaign (not a warranty, they’re quick to make that clarification) my 2023 tundra has a new frame design so we’ll see in a few years what’s what with that.

@10:18 - What all mechanics need to understand is that often bolts are too long. With a Toyota, being made from recycled rusty swing sets, lawnmowers and soup cans, the metal is junk; you need to chop off those excess threads before trying to back them out. Because you didn't you stripped the threads in that bracket. The center bearing on the Tacoma driveshaft is the perfect example. I didn't see a good shot in this video, but they are at least 20mm too long and that extra metal just hangs out in the air getting rusty and swelling. If you leave those excess corroded threads, the bolt can't pull them thru the female threads. Use a sawzall, die grinder, whatever, but cut off the excess threads as close to the top of the nut (or threaded surface) as possible. Often that heat from cutting of those excess threads will heat up the remaining threads enough for them to back out. I often replace OEM bolts with shorter bolts so that just a couple threads stick out beyond the finished surface and they come out easily for future repairs. And, always use grease or never seize...

Toyota was buying them back or they would replace the frame for free. Seemed to be on the early 2000's and older. My gf had the chassis replaced on a 06 and bought out right on a 03 tacoma. Those were no were the condition of the one in the video, I looked hard to find a sign of rust on hers. Toyota saw something I couldnt see.
She has a 08 now and no sign of failure?! My 1999 GMC chassis also rotted away I was told its because I washed it and parked it in the garage wet too often ..LOL! No coverage by GMC. My '15 Tacoma chassis looks like new!
