Hi Ninh . Ricky the Nufc tour guide here . Enjoyed the video mate .
You honour me with your presence sir!
Thanks for a great tour, I thought you did a standout job.
A few people commenting on here have also spoken highly of you.
Keep up the good work! 👍

YOU GUYS IT’S THE GUY
Richard Thompson legend
ricky you're a hero
Wether you are black and white or red and white the support of North East football will give you shivers down your spine. Football will be dominant no matter the circumstances.
I can believe that. Thanks!

michael tucker so true
so true...i'm from Australia and i went to my first game in 2010 at the stadium of light and when i went out to the ground the hairs on my arms stood up... unbelievable experience.... i also did the tour back then and it was 10 pounds so its good they haven't lifted the price!
True! I'm black and white through and through and the day I have kids I hope they follow the toon too, but if they want to support the mackems - the team their great uncle played for for years - I'd happily take them there rather than a Liverpool or Man United etc.
SIDENOTES:
1) A lot of you will be asking me why I didn’t wear the opposing team’s shirt for these tours. Sadly, I’m not made of money to keep buying different football shirts … and to be honest - I didn’t think anybody would care even if I did.
2) Two people actually recognised me from the Glasgow video, so I think the jig is up with that format.
3) I also didn’t wear my Manchester United shirt because it was zero degrees outside and I was dying of a cold. (Still am).
4) If you’ve been on the tour with Ricky or John, let me know in the comments section below. Good men deserve good karma!
5) To all the sad haters who subscribe just to leave dislikes - you do realise you’re helping my view count and engagement scores right? It’d be infinitely worse if you didn’t click on the video at all. Seriously.
You should come to the RZD Arena it's the stadium of the greatest football club in all the world Lokomotiv Moscow I've done the tour and have been to a few games. I must say that if you're not living in Russia you have to book in advance because of visa and while you're at it you also have Luzhniki Otkritie VEB Lev Yashin stadium aswell but i recommed Loko
BTW great channel highly underrated
@@parovozrufclm I've no plans to go to Moscow anytime soon, but maybe one day. And thanks! I could always do with more views and subscribers but hopefully it'll pick up soon.

Quality video 👏🏻 I’m a Newcastle fan and I despise Sunderland but this really shows how good both north east clubs are in terms of stadiums and their history
Absolutely! Both are very interesting clubs. Thanks very much!

I’m a Birmingham fan but both Newcastle and Sunderland are clubs to be admired, both with great sets of supporters who are so passionate and so vocal that they set the standards for how everyone should support their clubs. Much respect to the north east clubs.

Another fantastic presentation, Ninh. I’m from the U.S. Seeing these stadiums in person is not something I’ll probably ever be able to do. I was fortunate to see Highbury and Boleyn Ground many years ago. Hopefully I’ll make it back across the pond, someday. In the meantime, your videos are a pleasant alternative to being there myself. Thanks for the fun and knowledge!
Thanks Alexander! I was planning on making an awful lot more but everywhere is closed due to this virus situation.
Rickey called it right . As with a lot of football rivalries it pre dates the game itself by a long way , football just being the latest manifestation . Same city rivalries , based purely in football by and large haven't got the length of history and the same intensity outside the football going public . Agree there wasn't a lot between two very good tours but of course Sunderland shaded it .Very well presented video .
Excellent, thanks Stephen. I appreciate the comment.
And yes, as with a lot of football rivalries - it generally doesn't start with football at all.
Amazing coverage of the stadium tours - really enjoy your vlogs. Just out of curiosity, what program do you use to edit them?
Thanks. Adobe Premiere Pro.
8:01 i don’t know if they told you but that section of the stadium is the family area... hence the sign you have there. 👍
I figured that out after the fact. Thanks.
Brilliant video this. Captured some fantastic footage and very informative. Also did your homework on both clubs

Another great video :)
Thanks! You probably haven't watched it all yet though!
You can defo that Sunderland are a league one team by the stadium it looks like an old peoples home whereas Newcastle looks alot more modern
Except that Sunderland's stadium is newer, has more amenities and they were a Premier League side up until two years ago.
Take off the hate shades bro.
@@UltimateBucketList certainly doesn't look like a newer stadium, 3 years ago btw can't believe that used to be a premier League stadium, they only fill half a stadium nowadays, it's Sunderland what do you expect me to do be nice? 😂
@@pabloogav1836 Well you have Roleplay in your name, Newcastles stadium is dead and hold on, in the prem Sunderland averaged around 43k a match against little teams compared to Newcastles 42k, bit embarrassing

I'm a mag and thoroughly enjoyed this video, did the toon tour 25 yrs ago and all the kids wanted to sit in Kevin keegans seat. I very much Enjoyed seeing what the Sunderland tour had to offer so thank you for showing me.
Thanks brother. And yes, both tours were very good - I highly recommend going back.
Great video Ninh, really enjoyed it. Hopefully the situation with the chronic lack of trophies on display, will change over the next few years - but we're not holding our breath round these parts. I hope somebody pointed out the oldest football painting in the world, in the main reception area at SAFC, it's the huge painting of Sunderland v Aston Villa from 1895. Thanks very much for coming and visiting our area, you are welcome anytime.
Yes, I noticed that. The painting is interesting ... the artist couldn't paint hands properly, so almost everyone has clenched fists!
Thanks again.
I did The sunderland tour when I was at school I graduated at the stadium when I finished Uni (where a special platform is on the pitch) now I work there as a steward often...
That's a cool place to graduate!
I’m a Sunderland fan and I love it that you don’t just ignore us and the mags because it’s like people forget about us haha

Massive clubs, as a dutch football fan seen one Tyne derby.
Passion hate and respect, its all in the game.

Thanks! Yes, there's plenty of that with these two teams!
St James Park is an absolute beauty! Love how the new stands and the old ones actually complete each other and make this stadium even more stunning! Hope to visit it one day when covid let us travel again...
One day you will!
Specsavers are doing 2 for 1 pal! SJP looks like a unit on an industrial estate + Sunderland obviously have the bigger club history and of course the famous Roker Roar. The only thing Newcastle have to brag about is Oil Money and human rights infringements.
Sometimes at the stadium of light they get the goalkeeper from the 1973 cup final to lead the tour
Apparently so, yes.

Arsenal - I've watched games there, but never done the tour.

Why not do the 3 London teams?

Why not have some 1-year-anniversary-thing we're you have a visit on all the London teams, from Orient and Wimbledon (if those even have tours) to the PL-teams
RAYZ Tottenham’s is faaaaarrrr nicer
As a Geordie I gotta say I was disappointed when you said Sunderland was the better one, but if I distance myself and look objectively I can see why it was. Just a shame I'll never be able to do it ;)
Great video! +sub
Thanks William. Yeah from a neutral standpoint, this is how it looked.
But obviously, supporters of either team will think about that differently.
Thanks for the sub!
Really good video I'm a S/Land fan as you can imagine I've been to our ground a helluva lot but I've also been to St James a lot of times supporting S/Land .
Both clubs have really underachieved in the past 50 years but we'll always support our teams. S/lands home record for the past 10 years is so bad it's ridiculous
we're still getting 30 thousand every week in league one. To be fair it would be the same for them, as football isn't a hobby ,sport , pastime or something we love up here
It's far more than anything else really, it's all we talk about usually not that we've got much to talk about lately.
Yes, I agree. Two proud clubs that haven't won that much recently, and it's a shame.
But decent people in both clubs nevertheless.

Interesting fact- the only reason St. James’ Park can’t be the same height all the way around is because of those very same listed buildings you talked about at the start. If it was the same size all the way round it would hold around 80,000 fans.
Yes, that's absolutely correct!
The ground look disjointed because of that!
Can I just say you are one of the coolest followers on YT. The tours of all these soccer (American sorry) arenas are amazing. As a proud Everton fan, I've vowed to make it over there once this pandemic is behind us and see Goodison before they leave. And also try and see the iconic European venues like Camp Nou, the Bernabeau, Allianaz, Anfield, San Siro, and of course Old Trafford. Whenever you can male it back state side, Fenway Park, Wrigley Field, Lambeau Field, Yankee Stadium, and Gillette Stadium you've got to check out.
Absolutely! Before the COVID hit, I had a return ticket to Atlanta and was going to check out the Mercedes Benx Stadium and tour some of the college ones. But I'd love to go to these places.
Thanks for the compliments!
Great vid. Enjoyed watching both. SAFC supporter.
Thanks Cyril!
The reason for that sign(mind your language) at nufc is because it's mainly used for the family tickets, level 7 is the family section, where you can get a adult and child ticket for the same price as a adult price for everywhere but the lower Millburn stands around £35. Lower Millburn stands are from £60. It's quite mad tbh as the away fans are on the same level over in the leazes end.
Yeah, that makes sense.
I checked out tickets for that game ... £60 - that's more than at United! Wow.
@@UltimateBucketList if you fancy sitting in the comfy seats but your on a budget, it's best to go when it's toon home cup game. The tickets are £10 and £5 every seat, then doubles up on match day. I've been to a few nufc games in the Millburn stand because of the cup price's. Been a toon army fan for 31 years now.
@@kevinwake8789 yeah it's the same at United. Tickets are significantly less for cup games - got me the Carabao Cup Semi Final tickets for the game against Manchester City. Should be a good one.
