There are some people who are disgruntled about this (and my other video) who should really calm down,. Take a step back and look at it for what this really is.
I’m clearly NOT a Rangers or Celtic or Liverpool fan. This was an experiment to show that there’s nothing wrong with representing your team wherever you go.
This doesn’t just apply to me, but to everyone. The staff at those clubs didn’t mind at all, so why should anyone else care?
And it’s typical almost everywhere else. It’s common for American sports to wear the jersey of the opposing team. Nobody cares. In Rugby, you can wear a different coloured shirt and watch your team. Nobody cares. I could even walk around West Bromwich in a Wolverhampton shirt and guess what? Nobody cares. Is it a crime in Glasgow, I’m not so sure anymore?
If after reading the above statement you’re still ‘offended’ by this, and think that it’s ‘disrespectful’ - you’re fully entitled to your opinion, of course.
But explain to it me. Tell me why?
I don’t even understand why people would be offended by this, it’s just you enjoying a stadium tour representing who you support, what is wrong with that?
You'd be surprised - the reaction on Twitter has been overwhelmingly negative. I even made some of the papers, which I totally didn't expect.

Mata MacLeod most educated football fans know about the rivalry though. He went on a stadium tour with about 5 other fans and actually took an interest in both clubs.

It's a horrible crime and anyone suspected should be investigated and charged accordingly, regardless of their club. Brilliant video. As a Celtic fan seeing you go into Paradise and be treated well and enjoy the tour was great. Not at all surprised you were treated better at Celtic Park. Having lived my whole life in the west of Scotland it's always been my experience that we have the more tolerant and accepting set of fans. Not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but definitely more accepting. Glad you enjoyed it!

Do I get brownie points for supporting rangers and travelling from Plymouth ( 12hr coach , watch the match then straight back ) ..... I am a Plymouth fan first then a rangers fan ( does help that I married someone from clydebank and her family support st Mirren ) .... I couldn't see myself in a Celtic shirt cause to me there is only 1 team that play in green and that's Argyle .... the Celtic tour is better than the rangers 1 ... but they are both better than the st Mirren 1 ...... side note , right into chewing the fat at the mo ..... As a Glaswegian I am happy with welcome you recieved at both clubs but equally as a Celtic just a bit happier ours was a bit warmer. That being said I would love to go on tour of Ibrox for the architectural features alone it looks stunning. I say I'd love to but I worry I might combust like a vampire exposed to sunlight.
I'm sure that the stories of spontaneous combustion at Ibrox are grossly exaggerated.

Really enjoyed this interesting little documentary, came across it by accident then ended up watching full thing. Good content, quite educational and good bit of fun. Also very straight to the point, all done at the right pace so there are no scenes thet feel dragged out or boring. I will be subscribing and looking for similar videos done about other rivalries. Ps on the actual subject matter, it came across like you enjoyed yourself and where generally treat better at Celtic than you where at Ibrox, I found you a bit generous to Rangers when you said both clubs treat you well, I can see you didn't really get threatened at Ibrox but at the least the seemed slightly on the cold side. Where at Celtic it seemed like they went out of there way to make you feel comfortable, even slightly honoured and fussed over you a bit. Really good to see the freindly banter even though they thought you were the enemy!

Was I being too generous with Rangers? Maybe.
But I believe that if I didn't wear the opposing teams colours, they probably would have been more receptive, even though they weren't bad to begin with.
But there's no doubt which tour was the more welcoming and it was an interesting insight as to the mentality of both sets of fans.
I thought it was a myth ... I ended up proving myself wrong!

Really nice video! I am a Lazio fan and I went to Glasgow to see Celtic-Lazio (UEL match) so I stayed 4 days in Glasgow and I did both tours. I have to admit that Celtic’s tour was just a tiny bit better!

Absolutely not a true and acurate reflection, a hand full of people on each side is not acurate, I've saw violence towards rangers pub goers from celtic fans personally mate. As have I saw the opposite, there are assholes on both sides, but to say this is an acurate experiment when it had so many variables is just yer own bias.

Thanks brother! If you're doing the City and United tours, watch out for the South City Ring Road (A57(M). The sat-nav will list this as the shortest way from one to the other, and it is. But it's also one of the most congested roads in Manchester.
Keep traffic updates on and if you notice some bad congestion, turn off and take the road that runs alongside it.
It's slower, but at least you'll be moving towards the stadium!

My team Hearts have recently been doing stadium tours ever since we finally completed our new main stand. For this Jambo who is exiled quite a long way from Edinburgh, could you do the tour at Tynecastle Park? (I'd even be interested to see the Hibs one if they do a tour as well)
I've actually watched a game at Easter Road. Never been to Tynecastle though.

I support Dundee United and I did a similar thing in my United shirt since my in laws were over from Mexico and wanted to see both tours.
Got to say I got a very cold reception at Ibrox until i said im there for the in laws benefit.
Celtic just like here were very welcoming.
I'm glad I'm not the only one to experience that.

Loved the video , not a fan of either club but have had interactions with both sets of supporters and the reaction you got is pretty much the same as the ones ive had over 30 odd years of being a Dundee United supporter.

No disrespect to Rangers and I'm not tarring everyone but he's an Asian doing the tour of course things may be a little different than if he was white protestant. Likewise if you went to Celtic Park as a fat bald Englishman with a swastika tattoo you would probably feel a bit unwelcome.

There is a difference between an intense rivalry and hatred/hooliganism
An intense rivalry is about an electric atmosphere, the crazy desire to be better than the other team, and also the history of the rivalry
Hatred/hooliganism is just being absolutely stupid and taking things too far
It's alright to dislike a team but you should be able to welcome them as well
As a man city fan, I think to myself, "who the hell would want to be a man united fan" but I would never want to stab a man united fan.
Football isn't about race, religion, gender or anything else. Its football and nothing else, we should be able to enjoy the beautiful game!!

Just a wee bit of info for you. There was a celtic fan turned up at Ibrox with the full celtic kit on at Fernando Ricksens funeral, to lay flowers. He was roundly applauded by the Rangers supporters.
Next time you do a stunt like this, make sure the rivals shirt is not sticking out if your shirt.
Can't argue with you if you felt the celtic tour guide was better. That can make any tour you take so much more special. Rangers guide needs to up his game!!

That's just Glasgow for you, I'm a Celtic fan and have lived here all my life and there's just a complete hatred of one another. It's not a hate of the person but what each club stands for and the communities the fans come from.

Whether we like it or not, both clubs are symbolic of either sides of the religious devide. It’s unfortunate that it is more than a football rivalry, but the size of support of the two clubs and the fact they both have traditionally competed with each other have a huge part to play in the context of the rivalry
