    Getting the exact same thing! It's been built, and shipping date scheduled for Dec 2. Already have several accessories, either here or on the way.

      Nice. Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I do. It was a blast this summer and fall.

    I have the equivalent of yours except I didn’t go with the S. I have the 50 inch standard trail 900 ultimate. I truly wanted the S. But a lot of my friends ride ATVs and wanted to ensure I can go everywhere they do. I put the tip out window on mine. It’s great. A bit pricey but it handles everything. Fully open for hot dry days, cracked for fall days and some air while preventing dust. And closed for chilly nights.
    Overall I truly enjoy my 900 ultimate. But there’s times I wish it was the S 1000

      Nice! First, with the 50" your experience is probably not that much different than mine. The 60" is measured at the widest point, which is the tires. I believe the cabin is exactly the same.
      Second, the power may never let you down, especially if you're riding with ATV's.
      On both counts you'll see an Arctic Cat in a bunch of my videos that is 50" wide and I believe a 700cc or 800cc engine. So far, both of us have always made it to the same places.
      Third, I also like the idea of a flip up windshield. I went with the full windshield since I had already purchased the half windshield couldn't justify the extra cash for a flip up.

    Put a Polaris tilt out windshield on mine and love it.....gives you the option of opening it fully, or just enough to get some air in the cab!

    • @NorthernMapleOutdoors
      @NorthernMapleOutdoors  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah, I really thought about doing that too. However, since I had already purchased the half windshield I couldn’t justify the extra money for a flip up.

    @hilltop7503 Před rokem

    Great video. Does it have a turf mode? I have a polaris ace 570 that just tears up the grass when turning because of the locked differential.

    • @NorthernMapleOutdoors
      @NorthernMapleOutdoors  Před rokem

      No, it does not have a turf mode. The spot where I usually load/unload get pretty chewed up on the regular. In addition, I have driven it into the yard a couple of times and tried to to take long wide turns but I still tore up a few places. I'm not sure how it would compare to your current machine though.

  • @rjejames28
    @rjejames28 Před 2 lety +1

    I guess I kinda feel if your getting anything other then the base 11999 50 inch rzr, you may as well get the pro xp for like 22 k. The premium 50 side by sides get close to 20k, but I guess it depends on how much you value 50 inch width.

    • @NorthernMapleOutdoors
      @NorthernMapleOutdoors  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah, both width and overall size are definitely factors based on where you'll ride.
      In the end there are so many combinations available that we can each get the machine that that works best for our situation.
      Often times a smaller machine with more features can be the same price as a larger machine with less features.

    • @rjejames28
      @rjejames28 Před 2 lety +1

      @@NorthernMapleOutdoors I agree completely, sometimes I think people overlook the base premium option which will save them from wanting to upgrade right way but well said.

    I'm considering getting a trail s like yours. I have ridden dirt bikes, four wheelers but never ridden in any side by sides. I'm seeing that some folks on the internet complain about the noise levels of virtually all side by sides. Question:
    Do you use any ear protection? What's your thoughts on the noise level and how it affects enjoying the trails?

    • @NorthernMapleOutdoors
      @NorthernMapleOutdoors  Před 2 lety

      First, I do have some hearing loss so my experience is not exactly the norm. However, I have heard dirt bikes, atvs, and side by sides on the trail and I don't hear any noticeable difference overall. In fact, one time I was at a dirt bike track where a side by side was doing a few laps and the dirt bikes were noticeably louder, although they also did a lap in about 1/3 the time and were really giving it.
      I suppose if someone was going for a more "race mode" setup and opened up the exhaust it would get a lot louder. But in normal trail riding I don't think engine noise is a very big deal. I also haven't seen anyone using hearing protection if that counts for anything.
      If the noise is a concern then maybe poke around your area for a popular spot where you can see some machines in the wild and hear them for yourself.

    We have to climb a fairly steep hill. Does it have the torque I would need? Great video.

    • @NorthernMapleOutdoors
      @NorthernMapleOutdoors  Před rokem

      I've climbed some pretty steep hills without any trouble. It would always depend on the hill I suppose. Lately I've been running tire pressures of 12 lbs front and 14 lbs rear and I get a loads of traction with the stock tires.

    • @NorthernMapleOutdoors
      @NorthernMapleOutdoors  Před rokem

      On a related note. The Trail S Ultimate has very good hill descent control. It will keep your speed as low as it can with minimal brakes and sometimes no brakes. I've been impressed by it.

  • @all_out_of_bubble_gum

    Does a Trail flip also as easy as it's bigger brothers?

    • @NorthernMapleOutdoors
      @NorthernMapleOutdoors  Před rokem

      I can't speak to that. I've never felt like the Trail S was anywhere close to flipping over. It always feels very stable to me.

    does this machine have "Turf" mode?

    • @NorthernMapleOutdoors
      @NorthernMapleOutdoors  Před 2 lety

      No, it does not have turf mode. On that note, I have only driven it on a lawn one time for a few moments and it left a definite track.

    Does the trail s Ultimate have sport mode?

    • @NorthernMapleOutdoors
      @NorthernMapleOutdoors  Před 2 lety

      No, there are no selectable drive modes on the Trail S Ultimate. You can choose 2WD or 4WD and then decide whether you're going to smash the pedal to the floor or take it easy.
