Different products. With dropshipping they're the same products, namely the products from AliExpress. I wouldn't say it's a scam, because in the end, you get the product you bought. But notice how she left out the "for immoral sellers" part...

No one said they had to spend money in the first place; but most customers who are looking to spend money and see a product that is unique, or that would solve a problem, sitting in front of them; it is "easier" to just purchase from said merchant (you) than it is to scour the web for a better deal (in some people's eyes). Someone is going to make money from selling a product for profit; why can't that someone be you, instead of your boss (assuming you are an employee), who does that very thing?

I agree with the comments here regarding Blueberry's opinion. Not only is it the free market ( people are free to buy or not buy ), but I believe studies have shown that the more someone pays for something, the more they'll enjoy it. Their subconscious will justify their decision to buy.
Dropshipping isn't a scam but some of the people doing it are. Especially when they don't disclose shipping times and have zero customer service when there are issues.
I wouldn't say that makes them scammers but just really shitty dropshippers. If you need to hide delivery time because you know its trash, then I take that as a sign that you need to find a new supplier.

Three days ago (12/3/19), Shopify reported sales of $2.9 billion for BFCM 2019 across all their merchants. This is insane considering 2018 sales were $1.8 billion. That is a MASSIVE increase year-over-year. Yes Amazon is a beast but Shopify (and dropshipping) is very much alive and well!

Do the maths. Dropshipping course $500 Ă 1,000 People around the world = $500,000. If you can get only 1000 people from around the world, to pay you $500... you're already on your way to make a million. More profitable than dropship itself. But firstly, you need to have become successful at dropshipping in order to convince ppl to purchase your course. A lot of these dropshippers that are driving around in their lambos and living in flash houses, majority of it has been paid by courses.. KEVIN DAVID is the perfect example of this.
I agree. I think that there is a ton of potential still. I am new to the industry as of November, Iâve had to learn and do everything from scratch as Iâve built a website business and researched products. But I still get tons of visitors to the store and had sales within my first two ads on Facebook. Itâs not easy and there is up and down moments, but itâs a lot of fun and it has a ton of potential. Without this, the top of your sales funnel is watery and the ability to drive a customer to a sale is negligable. I also agree with your advice on paid Ads as organic traffic is great ONCE youve got the paid stuff in place ( this increases the ranking on search engines and helps to stimulate awareness which can drive traffic to any organic search you've got set up( such as blogs, reviews and links to other pages/sites that relate to your products) I also LOVE the fact you're a New Zealander !( I am too!) I recently starting doing a drop shipping business, I agree with you 100%. It takes research, market it to the right people, and bam a sale. I made two sales on the first day I open. The one thing people need to understand, take everything to a grain of salt. Start small, think of a customer as you what would make you buy it. Hey Sarah. I used to think the same before jumping into DS. I chose a highly competitive product and the market is mature for that product. Why people would buy from me? When they can buy the same product from Kmart, Amazon, and other online stores. So i did some work around and found out the following factors. 1. Quality (its not good every where of the product i am selling) 2. Customer service 3. What you can do to make their experience awesome (if they buy from you) 4. What other stores are lacking of? that you can fulfil and get competitive advantage. Whenever someone gets this thought of Why? Write it down and start answering on why not? List all the reasons you can find to answer your own question(s). Anyways, I came here to say thanks for your videos. I started seeing your videos and Jungle Scout videos. I dont sell on Amazon. I have made my own website and selling over there. Partially a dropshipping website, as I have some stock with me self. And for the record, I do have a Job as well by which I am able to procure products. Recently, I had a family emergency and had to travel overseas. All my savings were used in that, but my passive income saved me on rent and other expenses. So, Thanks again Sarah :D

Three days ago (12/3/19), Shopify reported sales of $2.9 billion for BFCM 2019 across all their merchants. This is insane considering 2018 sales were $1.8 billion. That is a MASSIVE increase year-over-year. Yes Amazon is a beast but Shopify (and dropshipping) is very much alive and well!

Hey Sarah, just wanted to quickly say thanks for all the vids. They have inspired me to start using my downtime to work on creating a dropshipping store that hopefully one day can become a larger focus in my life. I will say though, I have hit a wall in terms of a desire to continue vs fear of failure and I'm struggling to get beyond it , so a little stuck at the moment.

Do the maths. Dropshipping course $500 Ă 1,000 People around the world = $500,000. If you can get only 1000 people from around the world, to pay you $500... you're already on your way to make a million. More profitable than dropship itself. But firstly, you need to have become successful at dropshipping in order to convince ppl to purchase your course. A lot of these dropshippers that are driving around in their lambos and living in flash houses, majority of it has been paid by courses.. KEVIN DAVID is the perfect example of this.
I agree. I think that there is a ton of potential still. I am new to the industry as of November, Iâve had to learn and do everything from scratch as Iâve built a website business and researched products.
But I still get tons of visitors to the store and had sales within my first two ads on Facebook. Itâs not easy and there is up and down moments, but itâs a lot of fun and it has a ton of potential.
I hope things work out for anyone diving in this year, thanks Sarah for posting videos like this to help reassure and guide people like me.

I was pretty much overwhelmed within a day of learning about drop-shipping to the point that overwhelming feeling became a disappointing discouragement to not continue. But high risk means high reward and i wonât focus on the failures of others but how i would grow in business when i start now and dip my foot in the water already

Indeed, delivery is a big problem in dropshipping and those who do dropshipping businesses have less control on it. It's critical for them to choose dropshipping suppliers with local warehouses and dedicated logistics channel for the fast delivery.

Sarah I LOVE your dropshipping advice, thanks so much for sharing. Its based on all the essential truths about online marketing and it does take committment, risk and iteration to pivot products into a successful call to action from customers who have made it to your online shop/site.
I also 100% agree with your advice on A/B testing for your customers( and the vital importance of good design and engagement.) Without this, the top of your sales funnel is watery and the ability to drive a customer to a sale is negligable. I also agree with your advice on paid Ads as organic traffic is great ONCE youve got the paid stuff in place ( this increases the ranking on search engines and helps to stimulate awareness which can drive traffic to any organic search you've got set up( such as blogs, reviews and links to other pages/sites that relate to your products)
I also LOVE the fact you're a New Zealander !( I am too!) We have the knack of cutting through the BS and getting to the good stuff thats honest, real and insightful and from my recent studies at Uni about online marketing.. your'e RIGHT ON! Thanks so much! I recently starting doing a drop shipping business, I agree with you 100%. It takes research, market it to the right people, and bam a sale. I made two sales on the first day I open. The one thing people need to understand, take everything to a grain of salt. Start small, think of a customer as you what would make you buy it. For me, I love cute shit, so it's a impulse to buy these kinds of things. Love the video thanks for help explaining stuff to family in a easier sense, lol.

Hey Sarah. I used to think the same before jumping into DS. I chose a highly competitive product and the market is mature for that product.
Why people would buy from me? When they can buy the same product from Kmart, Amazon, and other online stores.
So i did some work around and found out the following factors.
1. Quality (its not good every where of the product i am selling)
2. Customer service
3. What you can do to make their experience awesome (if they buy from you)
4. What other stores are lacking of? that you can fulfil and get competitive advantage.
Whenever someone gets this thought of Why? Write it down and start answering on why not? List all the reasons you can find to answer your own question(s).
Anyways, I came here to say thanks for your videos. I started seeing your videos and Jungle Scout videos. I dont sell on Amazon. I have made my own website and selling over there. Partially a dropshipping website, as I have some stock with me self.
And for the record, I do have a Job as well by which I am able to procure products.
Recently, I had a family emergency and had to travel overseas. All my savings were used in that, but my passive income saved me on rent and other expenses.
