Lomo SIMPLE Film Camera! filmphotograph... The Lomography Simple Use Film Camera is no ordinary disposable camera - it’s preloaded with film and fully re-loadable!
Have been enjoying your videos for a few years now Mike! Because I'm only a poor student, I often can't afford to buy the awesome things you talk about, but this one is pretty cheap so I'm gonna check this out. Have you developed pictures that you took with this "disposable" camera yourself? If yes, how did you like the end results?
I just bought the version of this camera that comes with the waterproof housing. What ISO of film would you recommend for taking this camera underwater?
Is it normal for the number at the top to stay at 27 after you take a picture? I mean normal disposables count down as you take photos but this camera just stays at 27.
hi! quick question! how do i use the flash??? im new to film so i dont know much. should i keep on holding it??? because even if it turned red i couldn’t activate the flash.
had to get the rewind button down to figure out it had to be held as well as the handle that kept popping back down. Did almost break that winder. But forget the itty bitty number. seen those before :P including the one on the Yashica Electro 35 which needs the battery tester to even see the number. But the itty bitty nub was the hard part. it would let loose even when half the film was back around itself. :O eep. so out of the 18 exposures that I had since I had to cut it dead even instead of having the loop just to get it on that tiny nub, I probably have 12-14 exposures that weren't tainted by swching the light figured out right away had to wind it without looking at the number. I could play a bit since it was reloaded film but some practice. I used to take Disposables apart, just for the battery and the fact it was cheaper to send the roll in instead of the camera. (ahem just uh don't touch the electronics :) even on this one should you mistakenly confuse it with a disposable. That capacitor really will kill your finger for a few hours. Practice makes perfect
Is this re-usable forever? (Unless its broken or something) Im starting to explore about lomo cams but I dont know where to do my homework. Do you have any suggestions where to start? Thank You!
Plastic cameras are not forever but if you're careful with it, it can last a long time. This is the perfect camera to start with! filmphotographystore.com/search?type=product&q=Lomo+Simple
@@annisarachmawati9513 try find it on Lazada if you're from South-East Asia, I bought mine there :) If you're in States, try find them on their official Lomography website.
Hi Michael! I need help with this, would you help me? I loaded my camera, I can see the 36 which shows that is correctly loaded but it’s not shooting, i don’t know why, do you? Please I’ll really appreciate your answer. Thank u, greetings from Argentina 🥺🥺
As you are carefully cranking (and loading), you will feel the film stop. That means your loaded and ready to shoot. Recommended to grab an old expired roll and use it to practice loading.
I don’t know what the chances are that you’ll answer this but I bought one of these and the flash doesn’t seem to be working- I’ve been trying to change the batteries but I can’t get open the battery compartment, any advice?
Cut the paper at the bottom of the camera, and pry the door open from the lens side. It’s just a AA battery, I bought mine new from Urban Outfitters with an already dead battery.
hi! thx for the video. i have one and its finished. do i need to rewind int? the instructions only says that when it show an "E" i should take it to it to develop.
Jose Haya mate u dont need because the process of this cam is different from nornal cam. This cam load all film to the rod at the time u load it. Normal cam is shoot one and load that film into the rod.
They're filters to use over your lens. Personally, I don't like using them at all! Use your Purple Camera in sunlight for best results! Enjoy shooting!
Hi, I’ve just got this camera and I have some questions I would really like to ask and would appreciate if you could help me! 1) I tried taking pictures without flash but the flash seemed to come on although the last time I charged it (press and hold flash button) was about 30 mins ago. How do I take without flash? 2) the counter seems to stay at 33 although I’ve only taken 2 photos (built in 36 exposures) Any idea? Would appreciate any help!
Ive been trying to use my flash w this camera, but the red light doesn’t seem to turn on. Regardless of how long I hold down the button, someone pls help
you mentioned the purple camera shoots "faux" infrared. does that mean the camera can shoot things that loo like infrared without actually needing infrared film ?
Shoots "like" infrared because it's pre-loaded with Lomo Purple film. Lomo purple film has an Infrared "look" but you don't need any special filters or processing. Just point and shoot. You can see examples in the video.
Thanks for replying Michael! One more question, I got the 24 exposures one, do I roll the film until the counter is 24? Or do I have to buy the 36 exposures one specifically?
Any number of exposures up to 36 will work. When ready to re-load, set the counter to E, get the film in place and close up the back. Now hold in the little tab (as demonstrated on the video) and wind until you feel the film stop. Don't worry so much about the counter. The film will naturally stop and you will feel the tension. Hope this helps!
It's a re-usable camera so, yes. When you're done shooting your roll, pop it out and run down to your fav store for processing. Then, re-load and shoot again! You can also send your film to - thedarkroom.com/ for processing.
Hi there! I have this camera and I have been trying to use the flash but whenever I try to hold down the flash button the red light does not seem to stay, is the red light supposed to stay on for the flash to be on? If anybody could please help me :(
Cool!! I like the idea of a reusable disposable camera 😁.
man actually avoided these, but this seems to be interesting that you can reload them!
Really useful, didn't understand the difference between the blue and the purple, thank you!!
All the same camera just pre-loaded with different films.
the video was so fun to watch i am gonna subscribe just for my daily intake
thank you for helping me!
Love your website bro, lots of cool affordable film stuff. respect

Awesome tutorial. How about the battery in these? What kind does it take?
One AA battery! How great is that!
great video! was very helpful.Thank you very much!
super helpful video! thanks!
I just bought the version of this camera that comes with the waterproof housing. What ISO of film would you recommend for taking this camera underwater?
Bright sun - underwater - 800 iso (That's what I would do) - Mike
Hi :) quick question, so the colour totally depends on the type of Film? It doesn't matter whether the camera is b&w, purple or colour??
When you purchase the camera it comes pre-loaded with a roll of film. Once shot, you can load whatever 35mm film you like.
Nice video!
Is it normal for the number at the top to stay at 27 after you take a picture? I mean normal disposables count down as you take photos but this camera just stays at 27.
Indication that the film may be improperly loaded.
hi! quick question! how do i use the flash??? im new to film so i dont know much. should i keep on holding it??? because even if it turned red i couldn’t activate the flash.
The flash won't fire unless the film is advanced and ready to shoot.
Cool!!! I love you!!!
are you able to use different brands of 35mm film in this camera??
Yes, any 35mm film between 100 and 400 iso.

Hello! Sounds like your film is not loaded correctly. Give the video another watch and re-load your film. Good luck!
can we reload fuji camera toooo
Awesome! When I reload the cam and cranking the nub, how will I know it’s been well reloaded and ready to go?

Michael Raso the website says they're "flash filters" though, not lens filters. What is the truth hahaha
Emre Süner Ooops. You're right! My bad. Over flash. Still don't use 'em! :)

As many times as you wish!
how do i move around the color gels they are stuck together?

You can also send your film to - thedarkroom.com/ for processing.
Yes, any store that develops film can develop this film. (Just remember to pop out the film and not hand them your Logo Simple camera!)
What is the difference between the purple and blue one?
Hi. Each camera has different film pre-loaded in it.

no 200 iso is for lots of light 400 iso is for daylight and lowlight en 800 is for nighttime
With bright artificial lighting yes.

Hi Kate. When done with the roll, pop out the roll and bring it to any place that develops 35mm film. Recommend thedarkroom.com/
Michael Raso thank you!!
is the flash optional??
Yes, you hold down a button to charge the flash - red light goes on telling you ready to fire flash.

Yes. You have to hold down the flash button while taking the photo
when i rolled it the numbers didn’t change at all 😭😭
That means the film is incorrectly loaded. Start again.
