Ahhh yes, Golden Nova's personal archetype.
I watched Redline after the archetype was anounced. If they ad support based on the other characters of the movie, then I might actually try this deck. It already looks pretty nice in terms of art.
It goes well with PUNK not just because of the synergy but because the PUNK cards being based on punk rock combined with traditional Japanese art is like the movie Inu-Oh, so it's Inu-Oh + Redline
I hope they pull the Meta Joke of getting another Racer into Gold Pride whom's vehicle of choice is a Duel Runner.
As an XYZ for the extra deck monster because the rider and his runner overlaying?

They actually did and it's called Gold Pride Assassinator and a lv 8 synchro too in Legacy of Destruction.
Redline is one of my favourite films, so I’ve gone all in on this archetype.
My current deck combines them with Vampires, since all the vamp combos pay LP as cost, allowing you to special summon the gold pride stuff consistently.
The general play is to do the vampire combos first, usually going into Vampire sucker and Beatrice to get zombie world and Doomking. Then once you’re done/ if you get interrupted, you have the gold pride stuff to follow up and you can make a pretty scary end board.
Definitely not the most competitive deck to play, but it’s genuinely really fun! Took it to locals and had surprising success :)
And one more note, Nytro head’s token effect is quite useful when going against Kashtira, since it’ll stop them from special summoning their fenrir’s and such 😉
I can just imagine another gold pride monster which is a mad scientist racer tgat searches the spells and a fusion counterpart that's just his incredibly teched up ride.
And then a “twins” or “brother+sister” that search/ss each other to be used for XYZ Wacky racers…I mean gold pride.
Or a small family with lvl modulation, and their vehicle is just a soccer mom van lol.

I really see potential in this deck. I really really hope it’s 2nd wave is good because I love it’s inspiration, redline. But it’s Konami so they gonna fail and we know it. What gold pride needs:
-Lv 9 and it’d be cool for a lv 11 synchro gold pride since Leon is stupid and locks you into only summoning gold prides
-A reason to actually banish Carrie like a fusion spell that uses banished gold pride and a fusion monster to use along with it
-A field spell that searches the monster and inflicts damage to you in some form
-A monster to search the spells
No reference to redline? Dang. If you haven’t watched it nova I highly recommend it. It’s the most likely thing this is inspired by and was a love letter to the anime scene with it being in work for 7 years with basically everything being handrawn. Took 100,000 hand drawn frames. Seriously, check it out

I'm just glad we have a redline inspired archetype
Been running Gold Pride P.U.N.K with a lot of success on my twitch. The deck can really pop off and set up a ridiculous amount of disruptions. It is slightly brickier than Kashtira Punk in my experience but the combo's are definitely more fun and the strategy/lines of play feel much more flexible.
My average board usually ends on Amazing Dragon setup with up to 4 bounces, set punk negate, set gold pride trap, ghost ogre in hand from drive search, and the level 8 Gold Pride Monster. Can also go into the utopic future/Ghost Trick combo, Bamboozling, or Psychic-End punisher if you're feeling BM that day. Also, keep in mind, that due to Punk field spell you'll probably draw into 1 or more other generic disruptions or more extenders on either turn.
So we getting wacky races arquetipe. Ok, hope next week we get VS

Golden you forgot Speed Racer in the "Weird Races" and possibly F Zero, I don't know enough about it to know for sure though
See, I felt like, despite how wild Speed Racer and F-Zero are, they still feel a BIT too uniform across the vehicles to count, but I could be missing something really obvious xD
@@GoldenNovaYugioh Fair, I don't know much about either of them, I just know they are races that don't seem to have anything that is against the rules
I thought the F.A. archetype was what Speed Racer was based on? Since...Dawn Dragster and Dark Dragster seem basically like Speed Racer's Mach-5 vehicle and his rival/villain's vehicle respectively.
I would recommend you also run Upstart Goblin .
the set is full of small and large references to REDLINE, which i love

Serms like a neat archetype, wish the extra deck version (an xyz?) Of captain Carrie.
It reminds of Obon Star-Racers, where Mutiple different races sent in their fastest and/or strongest racer/warrior to compete in the race for the ultimate prize
OH MY GOD HOW DID I FORGET OBON STAR RACERS! That's honestly worse than missing out on Redline references.
@@GoldenNovaYugioh I remember in the final group of racers there was a pirate ship among them, that was what made me think of Obon Star-Racers
I get the feeling that this archetype is gonna be like Branded where when it was 1st released it will just be a decent rogue deck until support comes out that shoots the deck into tier 1 status like when Branded Fusion in Albaz strikes back was released.
Towards the IGPX statement, I remember it. I even own the IGPX PS2 game. It has some interesting potential i feel should come back
And a more reference for these guys is the show Oban Star Racers. Just watch the show and it will absolutely make sense

One thing funny is it would be more like beetrooper then myutant since myutant got two sets of tcg exclusives which is why there’s been I think 1 new support card with myutant mutant.
If you watched Redline, Nytro gives off more of a Machine Head vibe than he does Dick Dastardly.
Upstart Goblin could also be good in thos deck, you dont need to lose LP, just make your opponent's higher

REALLY hope this doesn't become another TCG exclusive with no support after this. But I doubt it. Konami has already designed accessories and stuff for this archetype, plus it's perfectly set up to have more main deck monsters that can lead into Rank 3/8 XYZs. Plus they might get another link yet. And there's lots of room for more spells/traps since there is only 1 of each right now.
Honestly, it's a shame they didn't make Leon a Synchro Overtake target. Considering how it requires it for the 2nd eff, it would have been a nice set up for it, and the name works thematically with the archetype's racing motif.
Honestly, I think Golden Nova could have waited until CYAC to do Gold Pride just because the archetype is so small, he would have gotten a more in depth video and now has to wait until the end of the year to finish the archetype off.
