      haan patha hain..magar harsha ne dhoni ko criticize kabhi nahi ki..if I am not wrong it all started with Ind vs Ban world T20 match where Harsha as an international broadcaster was being neutral and appreciated the bangladeshi team's efforts.This irked Amitabh bachchan and made him to tweet about commentators not praising/supporting home team,for which Dhoni tweeted supporting to Big B.Later, harsha wrote an apology to Big B out of respect although he knew he wasn't wrong.But, in an international tournament you're supposed to be neutral and commentate based on merits.Its a shame and unfortunate that some Indian celebrity stalwarts got it wrong.

    As an Australian, Harsha Bhogle is my favourite commentator. Smart, humble, down to earth and a great man, he is truly incredible. The best man in modern cricket, deserves to be the placed alongside commentating greats like Richie Benaud and Tony Greg.

      Very impartial too. Has knowledge of the game. True cricket fan. Unlike Shastri, Manjrekar, Gavaskar or what passes as commentators in India. As an Indian and a cricket fan, Harsha is a rare breed (in India)

    As an Australian I am more than happy to admit our commentators, with the exception of Bill Lawry and Kerry O'Keeffe, are pretty ordinary. I like Harsha due to his happy demeanour and knowledge of the game, sometimes Gavaskar and Shastri are okay but not in this guys league.

      Indian commentators Gavaskar, Sanjay Manjrekar, god knows how many golden moments they have ruined. Ravi comparatively ok but not desirable. Harsha is not a commentator but he seems like a lecturer of cricket. Best are tony greg, David bumble, Dean jones, Micheal holding,

      I used verbose as a synonym of talkative, and using a lot of words to describe anything..it is used in various contexts..does not always have to go by the rule book while using English, afterall it is a language not an algorithm..u can play around with words as that is how language has evolved over time and will continue to...SEE WHAT I DID THERE..?

      voluble applies to spoken words, verbose applies to written words, I will let you be the judge what should have been used here. and succinct for both spoken or written. Meanwhile, voluble and verbose are synonyms whereas volube/verbose and succinct are antonyms. Cheers !

    Given a chance I would prefer to listen Richie Benaud, Tony Greig, Greg Chappell & Harsha Bhogle all my life. Top commentators imo, blessed to have listened all 4 of them in live telecasts.

      I think what he's trying to say is that, no one really really understands the sport unless they have played the game themselves. You can talk about it all you like even if you have been broadcasting it for years but unless you haven't played it and don't know what's it like it in middle it is different.

      with all due respects mohammad, i love hearing your ramiz raja over harsha. i loved harsha initially but gradually its becoming monotonous. but ramiz makes me laugh out loud even during presentations. A gem of a man too. Watch ramiz's inzamam funny presentation (about youngster!). I can hear his commentary all day! Respects man.

    Harsha is BY FAR the best indian commentator. Absolutely love listening to him, he always has heaps to add both and off the field. A lot better than Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri and the worst of them all, Laxman Shivaramakrishnan omg...smh

    I hearing him since 1995 . He was very good in duo with mr. Late suresh saraiyya on AIR.
    He is magician of words in doing the commentary like a waterfall .
