Having seen the interview, I have full respect and feel proud of the decision made to simplify the licensing process in kerala. Very informative and motivating. I also want to thank the Director for explaining in detail the process. I had experienced a lot of trouble back in 2015 where I spent a lot of time, money, effort and other 'obstacles' for a business license. Eventhough it was in the city my location was under the panchayat who gave me a lot of trouble.
With this policy I believe we will not only have new entrepreneurs in the making but also improve our economy; both domestic and international once we come out from this unprecedented times. I am abroad now but wish it was like this in 2015. God bless!

നിങ്ങളെ പോലെ മനസ്സുള്ള ആളുകളൊക്കെ ജില്ലാ ഓഫീസുകളിൽ ഉണ്ടാവുമോ എന്ന് സംശയമാണ്. 4 വർഷം മുന്നേ ഒരു സംരംഭം തുടങ്ങാൻ വേണ്ടി മലമ്പുഴ SIDCO ഓഫീസിൽ പോയിട്ടുണ്ട് ഞാൻ. ഒരു കാട്ടിൽ പൊളിഞ്ഞ ഒരു പഴയ ഓടിട്ട കെട്ടിടം. അതിനുള്ളിൽ മനസ്സിന് ശരീരത്തെക്കാൾ പ്രായം തോന്നിക്കുന്ന, ശമ്പളം കിട്ടാനായി മാത്രം ഓഫീസിൽ വരുന്നെന്നു തോന്നിക്കുന്ന ഒരു മനുഷ്യനും. എന്നോട് പറഞ്ഞു ഇതിനെ (SIDCO) കുറിച്ചൊന്നും പുള്ളിക്കറിയില്ലെന്നു.
ഇപ്പോൾ പറഞ്ഞ ഈ നിയമം കേരളത്തിലുണ്ടെന്നത് അവിശ്വസനീയമാണ്. Ente

*'Getting Licence' is just a minor issue.*
Other Main problems why people step-back when starting an industry in KERALA(state having almost same land area as Switzerland):-
(1) Our Govt. has NO Plans/Visions/Categorisations about land usage (in countries like Singapore, Malaysia, etc. who has similar Climate & Geography like ours).
(2) High Labour Charges & Labour Parties Pressures compared to other States.
(3) Harthals & other protests.
(4) Local Political rule & Bureaucracy (when we need their help, they will ask money).
Nothing will work as long as Trade Union Gundaism exist.
Start a business only if you are ready to give money as bribe to government departments ,political parties and trade unions. If you are not ready to do so don't start a business or production unit in Kerala. If you keep one crores in a fixed deposit you will get about five lakhs after tax which is a sure thing. And any income is added to it by way of part time job , you can live a peaceful life. And if you have invested that much money in a business in kerala there is no guarantee to get back the investment amount. If you want to get start one , keep it as a home based one. Otherwise you will know the power of the political parties, of the trade unions and of the government departments as well.
In one license how many business activities can be started
E.g. I started a cement blocks manufacturing unit . After one month can I start a building material Shop/electronic shop in the same first license of blocks manufacturing?
It is a revolutionry move by the Govt to pass such an enactment.
I feel the Govt should run an organised campaign in related media to build awareness among public to attract investors to make this concept successful.

The government has the right to accept or reject or to raise queries on the application within 30 days for the "LICENSE".
So for the safer side wait till 30 days for the "LICENCE" OR "DEEMED LICENCE" and start the business
