Compared to the previous missions this one is very simple to execute. Main focus is to preserve the Ranger squads and reach veterancy rank 3 as soon as possible for the medal.
Once the briefing ends you need to move all those Riflemen squads out of the starting area as fast as you can manage. Those nebelwerfers are going to constantly bombard the base until you deal with them. However, if you rush them the two MG42 crews stationed nearby will make short work of any infantry you send in there. So you should focus on capturing nearby points adjacent to the base. While they do that you’ll either want to build a mortar crew or a greyhound light vehicle to soften up the defenses.
As you’re capturing points know that there are a lot of defensive choke points in the areas so don’t stray too far. There’s two snipers to the East, two Pak guns in the North, and several Grenadier/Volks to the West. Be aware of a Panzer IV and Ostwind Flak Panzer patrolling the roads. If one shows up pull back and wait for it to move on. It’s not worth wasting munitions on sticky bombs and taking heavy casualties right now.
Once you’ve dealt with the Nebels the game will send reinforcements consisting of one Sherman medium tank, one Crocodile Sherman, another Jeep, and two squads of Rangers. Most of these are great, but in this difficult the Jeep is severely limp even against the Snipers it’s meant to counter (provided they are in cover/a building). However, the Jeep is a scouting unit so if you need a good spotter it can be placed behind a wall while maintaining a decent line of sight to give you an idea of what the next set of defenses will look like.
It is at this point the mission becomes very easy and can end whenever you want it to. While it does ask you to practically capture the entire map, the mission will end instantly if you destroy the central building in the Axis base. It’s heavily defended by flaks, paks, tanks, and several squads of the elite Waffen SS, but if you capture all three nebelwerfers and target that building it can go down in about 3 volleys. If you wish to play it out however, like I did, you just need to pick a flank to advance on and support those Ranger squads till one achieves Rank 3 Vet. for the medal.
Rangers are elite infantry and will be especially effective at killing when you have them upgraded with the Thompson SMGs. Hence why I advised saving munitions earlier so you can instantly upgrade them when the Nebels are down. They’re also very effective against tanks with their Bazookas so make sure they hit the side/rear armor for maximum effectiveness. One thing I like to do is send a Sherman in first to agro an enemy Panzer tank to absorb damage and provide smoke cover while the Rangers flank and spank it for excellent unit synergy. While the Rangers are tough, they’re still infantry so they can be killed very quickly if you send them alone into a death trap with no support.

I used to play this so much back in the day that every time i fire it up i instantly start to remember everything about this game and i lose the desire to play. Watching it it s a good alternative. Good job on these videos you've got some great strategies.

24:21 "Boom! Takedown!" saying that after taking out a tank is the most American thing I can think of in this game so far.

I think I prefer the Urban combat the most. It's a lot more action packed and the street to street fighting is just so much more interesting. Especially when you use mixed unit tactics and pull it off well.
While I doubt I could have done it so well, I concur that as a watfcher, this appeared easier than previous missions. Still fun though, and I think those are important to a game. You need to have a few "easier" missions to take the edge off after the crazy hard crap, or it just gets frustrating :D
