    Also what people need to do is get local artisans to do some of the finishing work eg, instead of getting your cupboards fitted by some established cupboard supplier, find out from locals if anyone is a carpenter… then give them the design or picture of what you want, they often can build it much cheaper but same or even better build quality. My Mum did that when she helped my grandparents to renovate their bedrooms and kitchen cupboards in their home which is in a rural village…she found a local woodworker and he was so knowledgeable and had been building desks at schools for yonks and builds for other ppl and he was so reasonable that she paid half the price of what she’d paid if she ordered them from a formal cupboard business. Now she has so much more she’d like him to build eg outside furniture and benches but that’s for later

      Rural towns and villages are the safest in South Africa….that’s where the least crime happens compared to urban ares where ppl from anywhere just find themselves living next to each other but feeling no real connection and solidarity with each other (except in old and well established Black SA& Coloured townships). Ppl in rural towns and villages have known each other for generations, so outsiders aren’t just coming there and setting up house, they just can’t, as land ownership is through tribal lineage so even when crime happens in rural villages it’s easier to trace the perpetrators as everyone is known

They did send out a search party and some of the sheep were retrieved and it was traced to a neighboring village where my grandparents then were able to approach the tribal leadership to investigate. More were retrieved and it turned out that the guys who stole them were intending to sell them to slaughter houses for money..:livestock theft is the thing that happens there most of the time. Ppl don’t have high walls it even fencing and that’s how you know, they are not trying to keep intruders out. i see people building houses in rural SA and grow old and die..leaving big empty houses with their children staying in the city,how about schools are we all want batter education for our children,if we can bring private schools good health care...then that might be helpful...i love the idea if you just want a second home to relex but not as real estate future investment for your children when you pass away

    I thought I would see quantity statements square meterage comparisons and downright drill down,except the nice classical music this was a disappointment. The diffrence between an R8 stock brick and a cheap one in the village is quality of material used.

    South African government must consider to care much rural. Rural development should be about building infrastructure that will make village people to start thier business that already exists in d urban such as hospitality. We r tired to be told about Joburg, Durban n Cape Town.

    Wrong, it is against regulations to just go and get your sand at riverbanks !! You can get a fine for destruction of the flow of the river !

    Do oñe have to buy the land or it is included in the price of the house?

    • @mbulelozulu7963
      @mbulelozulu7963 Před 2 lety +1

      IT depends
      If the area is undeveloped, then you pay for the land
      If it is already a suburb, the land comes with the house

      It can be free if you're from the area ( they have processes with the Royalty in charge) but most of the time land is super cheap

      There are so many people on this channel who can testify that. It’s all about taking time to get the right suppliers, build cleverly and budget well. We always say, don’t rush the process but master the tricks to save cost. All the best. 🙏🏾❤️
