I love these type of photographs, but I wish that it were cheaper to get them certified and slabbed. $80 is a big chunk of change, especially for the average person who may not be able to identify a Type 1 vs Type 2, since many very old press photographs have no stampings on the reverse and may have lost their paper information tag over the years. I feel like that cost is one of the things holding this hobby back, and I hope that they're eventually able to lower prices, or a reputable competitor comes along to cause price competition. Thanks for the great video!

1) does psa have a pop report on photos?

1) They do not have a shareable pop report but they do know in their records. The Type 1 Photo that was used for the 52 Topps Mantle only has three known PSA authenticated. That’s very rare. Remember original photos are pretty much handmade by the photographer after photo was taken. They aren’t factory made. So the pop report is going to be super low. Maybe a few handful at the most for Type 1.
2) Yes, I am editing a new video now on Type 3 and 4 Photos. Then I will make a video about oversized photos and rejected photos.
@@MerleworldCards thanks! That’s super helpful. Makes total sense for the Type 1 and 2 photos. I Was curious how many of those Type 3 T Swift press photos existed in the pop.
