Apple you're a decade late on USB 3.0 speeds in a phone(Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was the first in 2013)!! 🤣
I have a voice acting background and recorded all my voice demos / monologues using iPhones, even on 4S the quality was so good. Sometimes I just had to use a pantyhose to cover the speaker, but still I'm really happy with the way the voice recorder works :) The vocal training was really tough, sometimes without noticeable results for months but having a good recording device is so important. You almost saw me as Leon in those new RE games :)

USB 3 speeds a decade late(Samsung did it on the Note 3), and many features like the lock screen Android has had for a long time, so no not really. 🤣

The wave of success is over. There's nothing to talk about so they emphasize available colors and how many transistors the CPU has.
Don't forget they are a decade late to the USB 3.0 party on phones, as the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was the first being released all the way back on Sept. 9th 2013, and they are acting like it's a huge deal, even my old ass Lenovo Thinkpad X140e from 2014 has USB 3.0 ports 🤣

@@jtec99 got that right, and I also thought of something else, they act like the Apple Watch with a cellular calling is a huge deal, but nope Samsung had a phone watch all the way back in 1999, and by the mid to late 00's you could get a generic phone watch with a touchscreen for about 50 to 60 bucks 😂
iPhone 6s still working and is more than enough for business use. All it needed was a battery replacement which I did myself with a 15 bucks battery from Amazon.

for me i have the iphone 12 pro max pacific blue color should i upgrade. or it is worth it to the iphone 15 pro max with usb-c or to wait. for the iphone 16 pro max or the iphone17 pro max series. coming in 1 to 2 years and maybe a full screen/ display and thin bezels for the iphone series.

I'm no photographer expert and such with focal lenghts etc but if gsmarena's data is correct samsung s23 has a pretty nice periscope telephoto camera with x10 optical zoom in 230mm focal length and x3 times telephoto at 70mm at 10mp each . Xiaomi's smartphones are similar story .One of their flagsips have periscope telephoto at 50mp with x5 optical zoom at 120mm focal lenght .Nothing groundbreaking tbh or to be bragging about .

Sad when being forced by the EU to adopt USB Type C is the only non-incremental change to which Apple can point. Perhaps someday they will invent a phone that can flip or fold. Hard to imagine Steve Jobs being satisfied with the stagnant iPhone development.
So basically nothing different from the 14 pro max beside switch got changed to button and usb-c. Ios 17 still the same on 14 and 15. No point to upgrade from 13 or 14. Waited a whole year for a button thanks apple.

Looks like I’ll be getting the pixel 8 next month to replace iPhone 12. I’m done with iPhones.
Mostly incremental upgrades at this point but gotta give to them when it comes to prices, don't see Samsung doing the same having a smaller 6.1/6.2 inch S24 Ultra for $999 which doesn't compromise features.

Not gonna lie, the Pro (especially the camera features) is looking pretty interesting... if I were in that ecosystem.
I hope Galaxy S24 is interesting.
Regardless, any interesting phone has to get a sale down to around $600 - $800 for me to consider.
The only thing holding me back is the dynamic ugly island, no matter how fast the new chip is.
So notihng improved, we got old technology in our phones and its bran new, give me more money please.

It's the all new design , Does speed even matter to begin with , almost no applications demand the speed of the previous 2 years of chips development , U cant have a pro android or IOS with no pro softwares , Very disappointing year of smartphone from both Samsung and apple , At least Honer is actually innovating , hope for a better products next year .

Your implementation of USB type C (not USB C) is just a slap in the face. USB type C could effortlessly utilise USB4 or TB3 at least. The implementation of USB3 at 10Gbps is a joke.
The worst part is making it an optional cable to purchase is criminal. USB type C USB3-4 cables are so cheap now and excellent quality.
Another this Why are the base models being held at USB 2.0 speed that should never of been allowed.

I think you mean boring, but you're right when you can pick up a like new refurbished Pixel 6a for less than 200 bucks that does everything you need with the latest Android updates which is being supported till at least 2027, then either mod it with a custom ROM for even longer usage, or pickup the next newest refurbished sub 200 buck Pixel model that's still getting plenty of updates.

Their bragging about finally adapting USB3 speeds on an iPhone is just on another level of cringe.
Android has been using USB3 for 10 years now. On top of my head I can think of the Galaxy Note 3 being one of the first smartphones with USB3 connector.

Yep, and here are even sub 200 dollar Android phones that have USB C 3.0 speeds, like my Pixel 6a which goes for about 180 bucks refurbished now. it really is nothing to brag about.
