- In this video we do stress tests with a Stoelting F231 soft serve machine to see how much power we need from a generator in order to run it. We test it first with one Honda EU7000is generator at both its regular setting and on "eco mode," then we test it with two parallel Honda generators.

This is the exact video i was looking for. I’m in the process of building a truck that will have a soft serve machine and I only have one EU-7000. Add lights, warmer, popcorn machine and a freezer. Definitely a bigger generator i need.

Excellent video. I'm trying to find a parallel kit for my EU7000 so I can try to run my 3 ton central AC in my home. If they can run that soft serve they should be able to run my central AC

seems like what you really need is a 14,000 watt onan cummings whisper quiet diesel generator, two honda 7000 is highly inefficient , and hard to be profitable.
How many watts does the machine pull on start up?
Taylor model 791...uses 20 amps 4600 Watts
How many running watts should my generator have? This is all new to me. As I read through the comments, I noticed you said the generator should have 3 times the wattage of the unit.
Just want to make sure I'm reading into that correctly.

AMP x Volts equals Watts. Always have atleast (sometimes you need more) 3 times that watts of the machine on your generator.

Hi. That is 100 percent correct. Volts times AMPS equals Watts. You need at least three times the watts for the machine.
Slices Concession so my machine is a Taylor it has 27 amps rating and it’s 220 so does it mean that I need a generator that runs 6000 watts running wats or that times 3 so 18000 watts I don’t understand please let me know

These are Honda EU7000is generators running with a parallel kit. Each are rated at up to 7000 watt surge. They are incredibly quiet, reliable, and efficient. We recommend over powering refrigeration as the initial surge required to start a compressor can spike above the rated generator.

Great video! Any way you could open up the box for the parallel kit for the eu7000is generators? I'm curious how it is built and wired inside. I bet if you made a video there would be lots of interest. Honda still has not released the updated one. Also I would be interested in buying yours if you want to sell It?
Hey Mark, I would open it up for you guys however, it is on loan to a customer of our for the next few months. He also had trouble sourcing one so we loaned him ours. I will make a video on the workings of it when we get it back.
